I think a lot of us succeed in medicine because we enjoy dedicating a great deal of time and effort to something complex and meaningful. Probably borderline pathologically so. However, medicine will never stop taking your time and energy if you let it. I conversely also feel anhedonic if I don't have something I'm working on or learning about, but I have learned to protect time for health and generally keeping my life in order. I also focus on doing what actually makes me excited (and not emotionally drained) in medicine (teaching, leadership, etc) as much as I can.
*hits pause... *YOU HAVE A SON!* congrats!!
Can you do a video breaking down the recent JAMA study that assoiated diltiazem with increased risk of bleeding when combined with NOACs in the context of A.fib. I think that's possibly practice changing especially in the inpatient side. Thanks!
I feel like the internet is starting to show its side effects on our psychology
Very insightful… doom scrolling takes over the world 😂😂
Every resident should be following you!
Finishing residency cured everything 😂
I am not a doctor at all but I am thankful for your videos.
and people not in medicine don’t understand why we don’t have great interesting answers to “what do you do for fun / outside of work?” 😓
I try to play a little music every day. Hobbies outside of medicine are a must
This seems really familiar
