I used to have a79 chevy short bed with 12" superlift springs and no body lift, and it cleared my 44s with no problem. But after the springs settled a body lift was ordered. Nice rigs.
If you order the kit it will come with the rear extended brake line but not the front ones. Have to order those separately. And the dropped pitman arm and drag link come with the kit but that style of drag link sucks for turning radius
Oops didn’t mean to post that. Wasn’t done typing. Lol I would definitely and WILL be going to the high steering setup at some point in the new year and making some changes. Had a lot of issues with the crappy fitment of leaf springs and have to order adjustable shackles for the front and drop shackles for the rear and it will probably ride like a tank. So future plans are Offroad Designs 12” Coilover conversion
@@atpmonstergarage thanks for your response my truck rides like a turd anyway lol but its gotta be done will you be making a video on the high steer setup all the best
Cool looking Blazer! I have a '77 Chevy K10 stepside 4 speed with a 4" suspension lift and 35" tires. I'm thinking about adding a 2" body lift to go with it. My question is, for a 2" body lift just put it on and be done or will I have to extend wiring, fuel filler tubes (one on each side), clutch linkage, etc?
Sorry not sure how I missed this comment. Fuel tubes should be fine, you will have to extend the clutch pedal shaft and they don’t make a bumper bracket kit for squarebody Chevys to raise the bumpers so you will either have to live with it or get creative and make some. Sometimes you have to make a little room in the floor so the shifter doesn’t hit it but not on all Chevys
Just brought 1986 k5 with 6” suspension and 4” body lift. It has 40s....I don’t like the swappers looking for something else. What is the tire size for 37s?
Not sure how I missed your comment. Yes it shows the frame a little bit. But I’m a fan of the frames on the squarebodies. I don’t mind seeing it. It’s the front and rear bumpers that need to be raised that drives me crazy but they don’t make a kit for them so you have to make it yourself
The black Jimmy had 7” lift with 37’s when I filmed this video bit now how’s 9” lift with 40’s and no clearance issues. The Monster Blazer next to it has 15” lift with 45” tires
@@atpmonstergarage all super lift you're running. Nice truck good build really got me inspired and going with mine keep up with the posting an nothing like the square body
@@ogjmcnutt9756 Thank you!! What are you running in yours? The Monster Blazer is all Superlift, the black Jimmy was a Pro Comp lift but I upgraded to a BDS soft ride lift and it rides so much nicer now even with 40’s
@@ogjmcnutt9756 Yes BDS Suspension. They give you lifetime warranty and their products are amazing. If you hit a mousse they will warranty the parts. I had a couple Rancho lift kits. They were just mediocre for ride
@@SterlingBall I’m doing the same swap!! I’m assuming your building a crossmember for the 6 speed? I haven’t found a bolt in one anywhere. I was going to see if it’s possible to use the Dodge crossmember but I haven’t had a chance to start that swap yet
No good brother take all of that lift out and go buy a 18 inch suspension lift with aftermarket shocks and your hart will be set been there and done that
The steering shaft slides a bit from inside itself, instructions on some kits state you may have to cut your shaft and add a piece but I’ve never had to do it and had no issues

Very nice truck
Thank you
3:51 Use a piece of tubing that's about 2" longer than the extension piece instead.
awesome k5
Dude what would i need other than the springs/leafs to do a 12" straight from stock your truck looks badass as is now my inspiration 😁🇺🇸💪

Thank you sir. That one is starting to get really exciting
So are you going to eventually fix the rust so you can bolt the body down to the frame?
I’m waiting for a better body to arrive that I already made a deal on so we will be swapping the entire body once it gets here
