Thanks for taking the time to make this video, as you did excellent in describing the subtle differences between pickup/blazer floor details! You also make the HUGE point of thickness differences, which goes the idea of saving as much of the original metal as possible. REPLACE ONLY WHAT IS NECESSARY -This is key to the structural integrity of these trucks, especially when they switched to the closed cab version in 76, and eliminated the torque boxes. Anyone with a 76 or later knows how soft these become one rust sets in. Thanks for pointing out what ISN'T reproduced, thankfully it would be easy to fabricate. If your able, show some follow up please.
Thank you very much for making this. I bought a roller 1985 K5, and someone had already cut the floor boards and rockers out, so I didn’t know how or in what order to reassemble. First time doing this big of job, so pretty intimidating. This definitely cleared a few things up. Appreciate it!
Jimmys bowtie supply in shelbyville tn is the only place to order sheet metalfor your projects. I. Building a 79 k5 and jimmys hooked me up. Cheap prices excellent service and supporting small business
My biggest issue was losing a couple of body mounts and having to get a new set of poly mounts. I had to play around with the polys a lot to get the doors and top to fit right. If you leave the body on the frame, then it shouldn't be a problem doing what I did 1 side at a time. Sorry for the late reply.
Isn't your name is Todd or Adam? Yeah, this isn't exactly a fun process... I have an 85 K5/(10) 🤣 and ordered everything for both side; however! Their diagrams are junk as well as the measurements being a little misleading
Thank you for this informative video . Getting ready to start on my rust repairs on a 75 Blazer .
Good luck on the '75.

Great informative video man. Nobody else has shown this.
you sure did clear up some fog in my head, i'm starting rockers in a 72 gmc, wish me luck
GL. Brace the door openings or keep the top on so you don't warp the truck.
@@CrankAddict yep thanks for the tip

I agree they should make that peice
They need to make a one piece complete floor pan.with the braces. So it would not be a KWILT. WHEN IT'S DONE.
A one pc floor would be nice. And rear quarters!
Who sells the best repair panels?
prob AMD
No bracing of the cab no problems?
Those torque boxes are 11g steel. The floorplans are NOT the structural element in this design.
Where can you get a torque box for a 74?
Hi where did you get your replacement panels
Classic truck and LMC are my goto sources.
Where do you order your panels?
From where ever I can get them. My last ones (1/4s) came from Summit Racing, but i've done LMC and CJ's pony parts as well!
Did you have success with no bracing in the cab?

See you in 3 years. Two tanks of argon and 2 spools of wire.
