I first heard this song when I worked off-duty security for a wedding in a public park (since alcohol was being served they had to have a cop present). The couple's first dance was to this song and I immediately went to the DJ when the dance was over and said "WHO WAS THAT?!" I wish this song had been around in 1999 so I could have had it for when I got married to my wife.

The most prevalent examples being entertainers like Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber(not going for defamation here, it's just that they fit this example perfectly). You can even go on a little journey to see this in action. Go to one of their videos and see how the positive comments are polluted with remarks on their appearances. On most City and Colour videos, there's always remarks about his voice, guitar playing, and lyrics with the occasional "I WANT TO MARRY THIS MAN"
Either that or he thinks ugly people can't sing and that Dallas Green is ugly.
