Can absolutely say that Dallas is the best live performer I’ve ever seen to date. His voice is full of pain, suffering, love and grief and it’s almost a religious experience listening to him
He and his music used to be soooooooo much better. Last couple albums he lost me. As a fan since early AOF, his new music I personally find boring and empty.
Not only that, his audio engineers are always top tier. There are a lot of great performers whose performances sounds rough because the mix is awful. Everything is always as it should be in his live performances. What should sit back in the mix does and when certain things need to ring through they always do.
@@robfeldschun6146this new album is his best since Little Hell in my opinion. Generally I would agree though. His music is still top tier though. He has his entire life to write the first few albums, he had months to write the ones after. Most artists don’t continuously top their early work. Nothing will ever beat Sometimes for me. Nothing. But he’s still releasing incredible music.
I saw this song performed live last night and it brought tears to my eyes, Dallas you are a voice made in heaven, I have no words.. at the start of the show when you said let's get emotional, you weren't lying ❤
Whoever did sound on this entire performance deserves a massive raise. Especially for video sound. Dallas' voice is already amazingly angelic and wonderful, but they really captured the essence of the entire band and his vocals. Absolutely amazing 🎶🎵🎙
Dallas is just on a whole different level, man. Also huge respect for the whole band for being so humble beside Dallas. That means a huge respect musically.
Dallas has always managed to reach into the depths of my soul and extract raw emotion I didn’t ever feel I had. This performance epitomises everything City and Colour….you genuinely feel every syllable 🖤
If I could gather up all the hate Light a match and burn it all away Then with compassion in my voice I would sing this song In hope that we might find a better way And bow down to love Bow down to love Bow down to love And when I think about all the pain That the carnage of wealth always leaves in its wake And how nowadays it seems that we fear ourselves the most Well, I hope you can find some solace in this poem And bow down to love Bow down to love Bow down to love Let's come down easy Let's come down easy Let's come down easy Let's come down easy And bow down to love Bow down to love Bow down to love Bow down, love Bow down to love Bow down to love
Got to meet him in Sydney before his opera house gig like 9 years ago so generous with his time and was very kind to us… just an all round great human being
god bless ya, the lyrics, the melody, and the riffs? I've wished my hold life for these gifts and were lucky they all landed with the man... at the same time were all here alive this is just nuts
This album from the cover to every track is beautiful. I got to meet Dallas after the Charleston show last week and he himself is a beautiful person. Thank you Dallas!
There isn't enough space for me to tell everyone how truly remarkable you are Dallas(and the band). My emotions run so deep qhen I listen to any one of your songs. The lyrics so deep and relatable. I'm coming to see you in Sarnia in June and I pray every day that I get to meet you all. Truly magnificent 😊😊😊
An incredible performance by a group of incredible musicians. Dallas, you truly get better with age my man. We've seen you live in AOF and City and Colour going way back to the early days in St. Kits. A true musician that deserves way more recognition in the world.
This might be my favorite video of all time. Been a HUGE Dallas fan for years, including the AOF stuff. I’ve watched this countless times. I was fortunate enough to hear them play this live back in May, and I lost myself for a while. It was like being engulfed in sound. Borderline psychedelic. That jam at the end is somethin special. Thank you for writing this one gentlemen 🤘🏼
He pulled out every single trick up his sleeve on this song. He could have just mumbled the vocal notes like it didn’t even have lyrics and it would have been just as epic Such a legend
My first impression when I heard the new album was that I didn't like it as much as earlier stuff. But after seeing him play all these songs in Live it LA, it's now my favorite.
Saw you guys a week ago at place Bell Laval What an amazing song, the lyrics are wonderful,. ( And how nowadays it seems that we fear ourselves the most) the 3 of you at the end doing a converge guitar solos... wow. The drum and the bass set the mood, everytimes im earing it i got the chill and tears.... thank you for such a gift.

Just listened to this song live at their concert and it was freaking fantastic. The most melodic and beautiful vocals I’ve ever heard - I was in awe.

The outro is just insane.

His vocals insane still after all these years wow
They are like wine, the older, the better.

Definitely my favorite track off the new album, this performance is simply amazing!
I agree, but Meant To Be is also up there on my list 😍
Agree 100% I saw them in Ithaca in May…. Most superb show ! I bow down to their musical abilities

I cried at his show last night during this song
Seriously seriously good. Chills whole way through 🫶🏻

Woooo! Only Canadian bands make me gyrate uncontrollably! No doubt Dallas would join me in praising Gord Downie!… “Bow Down…” 🙌

Anybody know what the smaller microphone he’s using is? When he goes into head voice?
Saw him live and asked Reddit a while back as I'm also a vocalist - it's a harmonica mic, brings out the "old timey radio" noise while he belts it. Sounds great when used with alexisonfire too
