Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that none of them are wearing in-ear monitors or playing to a metronome and how tight they are? Truly amazing musicianship
I do want to say please protect your ears! Especially if you are a musician who gifts others with beautiful music! Your ears are so important and often overlooked! It seems very loud on stage but I'm sure its appropriately mic'd and PA'd out to the audience with aux speakers. You are ABSOUTELY CORRECT! It is SUPER cool that these guys dont need a click track or earpeice. So pure. Just note that their music while maybe "heavy sounding" doesnt mean LOUD! Music is delicate and therapeautic. Theres a time and a place for hard music...I just like to delineate how difficult it is and dangerous and delicate an art it is to PLAY WITHOUT EARPEICES....please kids...dont just blast your amps from the stage over your drummer....Most musicians know what they are doing and know how to throw their sound physically and electronically in a safe way to not blow the hellout of the stage and the front row....please follow proper role models like these wonderful bands! Throw your sound delicately from the front to the back row...Dont KAMEHAMEHA YOUR SOPRANO TRUMPET PLS lol
It blows my mind how anyone can watch a live act and not appreciate it fully, even if you don't like the music..I jus love to sit and appreciate an artist doing what they do best. I saw dallas twice in London just before lockdown and it was one of the greatest gigs I've ever seen, I'd give anything to see him live again.
I was at this show and everyone was pretty miserable. It was cold and raining all afternoon, the sound was terrible on the west side (it didn't sound like this video). I was just there to chill, but folks were not feeling it and it brought the mood down. I'd literally do anything to go back, tbh.
it was a magic moment zapping through the tv program and suddenly stubling upon this guy, dallas green, city and colour... never heared of him before and I was so blown away after only two songs that I decided I had to go see him live. I looked up the tour dates and learned that he'd play around 150km away from my hometown three month later. Never regretted it. Best damn concert i've ever been to. No big talks, just music. Can't wait for him to come back :D
He played last night in phoenix first time hearing him live. Amazing performance. Talented in his recordings and live. Got to meet him aswell. Super friendly guy was patient and talkative.
@@RodrigoSouza-ei8ej eu sou fã do Dallas a quase uma década, agora que tenho idade pra fazer meu destino e viajar pra vê-lo ao vivo acho que vou surtar kkkkkk
Wow and Wow again. I've not heard this concert before and some of the songs are "new to me" from this incredible group. I wish I had followed up when somebody told me about City and Colour 20 years ago, but didn't. Then I came across If you Should Go Before Me a year or so ago and was dazzled by its emotional depth and the beautiful music. I'm a fan now!
This performance has been my hyperfocus for the past month and no stopping in sight. Will be sad when the dopamine fails to hit the same way. But until then, BRAVO
Their ability to improvise or build on an existing sound amazes me. Dallas chose some great musicians to back him. The drummer struggled at first but as a whole very solid.
Seen him live 2 maybe 3 times once at a smaller theater a mile from where I lived. Watching a live performance is bringing me back. Knowing what the audience is going through gives me goosebumps. Can't wait for the next one.
I can hear what you mean in the song "Woman". I wanted to tell you this the 1st time I heard it. Fantastic piece of music. Thank God for the men who cannot do it? That there are the men who can. And make sense too. 👌
The US is figuring it out, but it's established that we r well behind the curve on DG. Fan since returning home from overseas in 2011, and a lifer for sure. DG is a music God, and his backers are amazing here. Not as educated as I used to be in the music scene, so that may be super disrespectful to some already known talents, but I don't personally recognize them. Either way, dude is a class act, super chill, and my personal favorite.
What if you're here when I'm not ready? What if I'm not willing to listen? I hope these devils never leave me 'Cos I keep taking what they're giving Right now it feels like killing time I'm running from the shadow of my former shadow's life Sometimes I wonder if I was ever really there? Right now it feels like killing time Lately I've been thinking about Just who I'm supposed to be There are lines forming on my hands and face Before today I have never seen But right now it feels like killing time I'm running from the shadow of my former shadow's life Sometimes I wonder if I was ever really there? Right now it feels like killing time Killing time, oh Killing time, oh Oh Right now it feels like killing time I'm running from the shadow of my former shadow's life Sometimes I think that I was never really there Right now it feels like killing time
It bugs me that the fans didn't cheer all that much! So many people there, they could've made a lot more noise. Too many critics out there....I dont think majority of people realize how hard it is to create music and perform. Dallas is a brilliant musician all around.
Tool able for sure! Sing it! Your voice! Man! ❤❤ What are the songs in order??? I would love to hear you do a Tool cover with their music playing... Mmm hmm!!

The fact the drummer isn’t is wild.

Agreed! Seeing him for 5th time live at favorite venue Massey Hall in Toronto in a few weeks!! :)
It's amazing that you got to see him live! #lifegoals
Woman is legit the most perfect starting song to a City and Colour concert.
yes!
feeling this comment; this just came on and it is glorious; Only Matt Good comes close.
Perfection. No ear monitors or anything. Just living in their own live moment.

same. discovered him 2 months ago and booked a concert right away. its in october, for his new album. hyped
Thank you RUclips algorithm for knowing I would love this band....
Just that last 5 notes of Lover Come Back. That shows just how amazing his range is.
Dallas green you are literally so good my dad listens to you a lot
wasted love was a master piece

"Woman" such a strong, deep and beautiful track
The guy in bass is Jack Lawrance, from the Racounters and Greenhorn. He is great.
This is just music at its purest, love C&C , unspeakable talent , on headphones even better
This is how a man writes his lyrics and puts it inside a song from his heart.
What a great opening track
Such a cool interlude to lover come back at 36:30 🙌
I'm so glad that Tina from Bob's Burgers decided to play bass for these guys. 10/10
David Labella he's also the bass player for the dead weather and the raconteurs! Great bass player
Or...you could pick up your bass and play for Dallas, if he'll have you.
Wait isn't it Jack Lawrence? I could be wrong!
Yeah, it's Jack Lawrence.
lolololololololol
OMFG, this is heaven!
Melhor banda de folk rock!! Nos vemos no Lollapalooza Brasil 2020!!

He is phenomenal in concert. Seen him play solo and it was amazing !
I've seen him solo as well. He didn't need anyone else. It was incredible.
Little Hell will definitely be the album of my life, and listen the end of this show... omg, Dallas.
Jessica Silva vc e brasileira?
É sim fiao e ela namora pode sai fora!
Thank you! Little Hell is undoubtedly his best work to date.
I love Little Hell! But I gotta disagree on the best album . The Hurry and the Harm, takes the cake
I hope Dallas knows how Goddamn good his music is.
I bet that he knows
Oh he knows alright.
He knows, not sure if this particular crowd does though. Oh well that was a killer set.
Holy fucking shit!!! Thirst is amazeballs!

the transition from fragile bird to as much as I ever could....
That's one of my favourite parts, love how he does it live like that.
Just saw them last night in our hometown of St.Catharines, Ontario!! Fkn Amazing
What a fucking band! Like who the fuck would dislike this video?
Can't wait to see them again in November

I was so sad he didn't play anything from sometimes
I guess you're right, I just personally love sometimes more than any of their other albums.
Oscar Branko Miljkovic didn't even know there was a new version, where can I listen to it?
I was SAD it wasn't an Alexisonfire set.
I love Dallas and his voice...he's so good
THAT VOICE. WOW
hell yeah. this is incredible .
Melancolic...but beautiful. Great City and Colour.
Love Dallas , bass player from raconteurs , love loud guitar player !! Excellent music
with an epic ambient intro like that they could easily slide into pulmonary archery. just sayin...
Lmao dude. I was saying the same thing to myself. Hahaha awesome someone heard that. A lot of fans don’t know his prior (amazing) band.

Ughhhhh that’d be so nasty!!
