this is definitely one of the most enjoyable concert to watch repeatedly! Doing the same of you!
Whoever recorded and mixed this audio did an unbelievable job. I've been coming back to this video for years.
Same here! Their audio dudes has been doing an awesome job for their live videos.
The guitars are so low in the mix...
@@Nuceful Guitars are usually too high in a mix for live videos. I find this video to be pretty even at least to my ears.
Facts
The whole mix has been high cut pretty aggressively.

I scrolled through just to find this lol thank you
Just listened to Dog’s Blood in this video for the 178th time. Now I’m climbing Mount Everest blindfolded with no clothes on. What happened.
I fucking love this performance of dogs blood Holy shit it's insane !
I thought it was just me who came back to this video for the Dogs Blood performance. Dallas's voice in it..... Goosebumps everytime!!!
THIS SHOW WILL NEVER GET OLD!
ESSE SHOW É MT BOM AAAAAAA
Damn, I so f''cking miss them.
THEONLYBANDEVER
Actually they'r back
#THEONLYBANDEVER
That drummer never ceases to amaze me.
He has an amazing flow.
Plays in Billy Talent now too. Also check out his own band "Say Yes," Hastings is a madman.
Was he in grade or somehow hollow? Beyond tight
Makes sense billy talent is from toronto area
yeah, indeed. Even being a fan of Progmetal, this guy is solid and groovy without being an overplaying guy. Really a great drummer with great feeling and sound.
that bassplayer is one intense fella! love it!!!
Hewasonfire
Chrisonfire
Chris Steele
is pretty much the most enigmatic and most intense bassists to ever exist.
sugar boogers
@@shottingham really?
The drummer gets overlooked so much in this band. He's incredible
He's a big reason they really took off IMO
Good ol Jordan Hastings.
lets not forget Jesse Ingelevics
Fuck I absolutely love these guys. Seriously. Who's with me?!!
Me!!!
Wish I could get to Alexisonfire performance once in my life 😢
I'm with you
St Catharines, Ontario, Canada hometown. Home show concert Saturday July 8th after many years
There's something just timeless about this performance. It captured the same intensity and energy they had the first time I ever saw and heard them in 2004 when they were opening for Silverstein. You could tell this was one of the first times they got together and performed after breaking up where you can get a sense that the band still felt the spark they did in the beginning. Their music means more than ever now since the fans thought we'd lost them. The ever blossoming timbre of Dallas's voice, the energy that Chris and Wade bring to the stage, the frenetic chaos George contributes, and Jordan's locked in cadence... AOF are one of the bands whose blend of energy, riffs, poetry, and humility that have and will always resonate deeply with those of us that have always felt like we were the odd one out in the crowd. It's an incredible feeling having seen them return with new music, a new album and touring again. This past Wednesday was the first time I could take advantage of the opportunity to see them live in 18 years. A 2 hour set of the same energy they delivered at this performance in Reading and in that seedy dungeon of a hotel bar called Ace's Basement in Greensboro, NC all those years ago. Finding myself now on the wiser side of 40, I look back at all their music has meant throughout my 20s and 30s... They are one of the few bands I can say that truly enriched my life and helped tremendously to carry me through the darker times, so I extend my most sincere gratitude to Dallas, George, Wade, Chris, Jordan, and Jesse and want to thank you all for sharing the parts of yourselves that have made your music the treasure that it is.
No doubt my man. I've been a fan since day one and to be honest it was like 2001 and I saw an ad with their weird name and I just checked them out. The rest is history.
Thank you for your words. More power to AOF and you as well!
amen to that my good friend
Great writeup chief. Big respect for hanging on this long.
Christ, you nailed it
Top 5 best bands in Canadian history.
The effort/energy in Dog's Blood is why Alexisonfire will forever be top 5 all-time for me.
one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. no question
shortk23 dogs blood was sick!!!!
Cocaine is a helluva drug *sniff chris sniff*
FUCK THIS PLACE UP
Steele's fucking eyes say it all, man
probably watched this show 50+ times, everything about it is perfect.
Accidents has got to be the best song to start a set with. Such a wicked tune!
YES!!
Definitely one of there best and to get the crowd movin that's for sure.
Drunks, Lovers, Sinners and Saints for me as an opener but Accidents is sick
@@ryanwilliamson1873 That's a good one too!
One of my favourites of their songs. When I saw them at a fairly small venue, I went in the pit for this song and got absolutely battered, it went off.
38:40 best definition about what music and festivals are
This has been my go to video on RUclips for the last few years. This gig is f'ing special! How much I wish I was there! I'll still be here in 20 years time 😂
Me too brother
Alexisonfire true Canadian gem ❤
wade is a canadian treasure
also george is a canadian cliche lmao
32:46 WHAT A VOICE !
not listening to any of DG's solo stuff? he's fucking amazing
One of very few I think sound better live than recording. Real emotive sounds.
Fucking incredible!
He is soooo amazing. Saw him live solo and it was just 😍😍😍
His voice is so powerful goddamn
love that guy at 4:57
Fcuking love that guy.
guy at 4:57 please send me your facebook
i want to sing with all my heart, just like him
@@SuperLadyslayer Same same! I was there too and was going mental, 1 month today they're gonna fuck the ass off of Ally pally! 🤟🏻
This is the headliner as far as that guy is concerned. Awesome
bruh,,,,the bass player was in a different dimension. Beautiful.
One of the most powerful live performances I've come across, no bullshit, just rocking out! Been coming back to this for 5 years!
I wish this crowd was engaged. Its hard to watch these beauts tearing apart that stage and everyone just stands there.
Those vocals are so incredible. An exact reenactment of the album. Wowzers.
Way better. These guys don’t stop refining their craft
300 million times i play this video and its still incredible. If this was night and the crowd wasnt baked, it would be one of the best live gigs of all time. Outrageously good!
They sound exactly like the Cd. Amazing.
You have sound techs like myself to thank for that😊😊😊
They sounded better if anything.
Actually, we have the people playing the instruments to thank for that.@@unholyparagon5366
MardyBum100291 nah, it’s actually like 80% the sound engineers. You even have them to thank for the CD sounding how it does, the band plays the instruments but if it wasn’t for the vision of the audio engineers/producers, half these bands wouldn’t sound how they do. Sometimes the producers even help the band re-write songs etc. Yes the musicians are crazy talented, but the producers/audio engineers play a bigger part in the bands sound than you’d think.
@@thelionzmusic best comment EVER.
Camera quality is gorgeous
So proud these guys are Canadian. They totally revolutionized the punk/hardcore/post-hardcore scene here and blew the doors wide open
I remember watching the Pulmonary Archery video debut on much music for the first time when I was 12 years old and I remember thinking to myself "THIS is what music should be"
Woooo 🇨🇦
I always come back to this performance. I've re-watched it so many times. Dallas is pouring out his soul on Dog's Blood.
I'm back!
@@MrPart2 Welcome back! Dog's blood is something.. something out this world when Dallas kicks in around 32:47.. maaan.. goosebumps every time I hear that.
@@michalstanek7343 Have you heard the Dog's Blood recording from the House of Strombo recording? The music mix is beyond studio quality and Dal's vocals just kill.
@@christopherroth86 Yes I did, sir! Another amazing live set with even better mix, full of emotions & feelings!
happiness by the kilowatt is just.. too much to handle from the House of Strombo recording!!!!
Oh, and I'm back again!
it fucking went off during Dog's Blood. Can't believe this was almost a year ago. Best day.
Among the greatest (next-to) reunion shows that ever were. What a way to shake a band back to life.
2019? Anyone else?
Happy new year!
27-02-2020. Happy New Year!
2024!
Just came here again to say that I am going to see them live at Lollapalooza Brazil 2022, just can't believe I'm gonna see my fav band 😭😭😭
Enjoy it brother, much love and jealousy from Canada!! \m/
I'm still trying to figure how and if I can go to both Slam Dunk dates next year! Can't wait!
I saw them 2 weeks ago. They crushed it. How werr they 2 years ago?
24:02
Finally good to see a video of good parenting on the internet.
lol thought the same! Love the idea of a young parent going 'no you need to see this, this was mummy's favourite band as a teenager and you need to understand the importance of this song'
I took my oldest son (4 years old) to his first 2 concerts in 2003/4. Toronto. First was White Stripes. Second was Alexisonfire. I was 5 for my first show (The Who). Raised right.
The best 1-2 punch of "whoa whoa whoa" songs ever to start a concert. Plus I love how psyched George is about his own songs when he is not singing.
This is hands down one of the best live performances of not just AOF, but of any band at Reading Festival.
The only band ever.
Yassss
20:56 that is a legitimate fan!
He's awesome to see earlier too at 4:57
Only alexis made open air venues feel like they're playing in a school hall. Always energy. Always brought 100% volume.
fuck yeah!!
Saw these boys in 2019 at Blues Fest in Ottawa. Been coming back to this weekly since to relieve that night. Never let Alexisonfire die, one of the most under appreciated bands in Canadian history
Drummer and guitarrist voice are really stealing the whole show. So much good energy from this performance
Dallas or the bassist??
Here we are in 2020, this band STILL fucking rages! One of my all time favorite live bands. Them and Thursday are my top 2.
The sound engineers at Reading and Leeds are amazing 👏 😍
How a man who screams like that can sound almost better live then in studio is beyond me. Fucking amazing show!
Best version of dogs blood. Dallas is unreal here
You have to wonder where Steele goes during an Alexis set. It's amazing to see. He's so detached...
I see these 'old guys' doing this after getting retired once from music, and see the other shows at the same festival, and realize that Alexisonfire schooled them all big time. That Dog's blood part after the calm...its just insane.
They will always be legends. Too bad they didn't come to Portugal yet
31:04 when the drugs really kick in. I love you guys one of the greatest bands I've ever seen live.
sheeeeeeesh
I could literally watch this set every day for a month and not get sick of it.
Brilliant band, I met them at Birmingham academy in the early 2000's, they got steven crowder on vox, who could want more
This is probably one of the best recorded concerts I have ever seen soundwise. 🤘
Too bad the crowd was mega mega boring and lame, wouldn't have happened in the early 90s. What a bunch of boring kids! Hardly jumping nor crowd surfing, hilarious! What a snooze fest
The mix on this performance is incredible. And Wade is rocking an OVO sweater.
Best Performance of All Time!!!!! Absolute beauties repping us Canadians!!
This is a .44 caliber love letter straight from my heart. Man listening to this show is nostalgic as hell.
I've watched this set countless amounts of times now and pretty sure that's Daniel Ricciardo smiling away up in the VIP section 41:59😄Know he's a big Alexis fan what a legend 🙌
.44 Calibre Love Letter is unreal. How is their first song ever their best? Fuck I love these guys.
Still listen to Alexisonfire all the time ❤ My sister made me an Alexisonfire TShirt
Still the only band ever.
Also, how is this mixed so well?! I come back to this video weekly, it's incredible
Even John Wick's favourite song is Dog's blood.
During the northern there's a bit where they all walk to the front of the stage....really stands out that they have 4 front men. Best band ever in my opinion ❤❤
what amazes me the most is that they sound so good (specially the vocals) without in-ears monitors
The Only Pod Ever brought me here. Hi to the hosts if they ever see this comment 👋 keep up the good work.
no matter if in 2007... 2017.. and now 2020... the reaction is always the same when i hear dallas green.
Amazing. Please don't take this away
T-Shirt's agent: How would you like to work with George Pettit?
T-Shirt:
Welcome back boys - good to see Alexis still going strong in 2019.
The OVO hoodie is fire! Canadians supporting Canadians
Fuck I love this band so much
Wow, George sounds really good live.
I literally come here everyday.
still watching this show after all these years. amazing.
one of the most incredible sets i've experienced encapsulated in a video i can come back to whenever i miss it
I always laugh at the bit in the middle where George goes on about why they’re back… still got my ‘farewell’ tour poster in my bedroom all these years later now they’re reformed 😂😅
One of the best live performances on RUclips
Alexisonfire never disappoints when it comes to playing live, seen many live shows and they always sound just like off the album and there performance is always energetic,Canadian Proud for these guys very lookin forward to the new album.
I was there for this. Was amazed they were playing main stage and only 4 off headline. But absolutely incredible, class is permanent. And recently saw them at Brixton Academy and so glad they're even more than the band they used to be
The energy, passion & ferocity in that 4 song closer portion, is exactly why this is one of the best bands of their generation. CAN FUCKING FEEL IT THROUGH THE SCREEN.
Too bad the crowd was mega mega boring and lame, wouldn't have happened in the early 90s. What a bunch of boring kids! Hardly jumping nor crowd surfing, hilarious! What a snooze fest
Anyone else notice the grandpa in the crowd recording with his phone. #badass
This Could Be Anywhere in the World is one of the greatest songs ever written.
5:39 "My youth is slipping, my youth is slipping away" still love these guys though.
Drummer is such a beast I love it
On a major nostalgia run on RUclips... remember seeing they were playing at the time and thinking 'fuck that, I'm not going to Reading festival just to see Alexisonfire...reunion or not' after watching this set I kinda wish I had 😂
This is probably my favorite AOF performance on RUclips. Unreal version of "Accidents" kicking it all off.
lol Chris Steele.....I could watch that guy perform all day lol
¡Te amo Alexisonfire!
They’re always finding ways to play their old songs. This performance encapsulates how creative and innovative band. Every aspect of their musicianship improving. This video is timeless
This is fire. Thank you.
This is the first time I listen to Alexisonfire and I LOVE THEM!!!!
SAME HERE 3 YEARS LATER
The energy emitted by these dudes could power all of NYC for a month
One of these best live shows that's ever been uploaded to RUclips.
I never realized how amazing wade is.
This needs more views 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
this concert should be watched with a glass of wine
You rock, guys! With love from SP, saw you at Cine Joia, SP, Brazil, unforgettable.
