I sold off all my Fury X cards right before the bitcoin collapse. I also picked up a used Vega 56 Red Devil a few weeks ago for $399.00 on eBay. With miners getting their asses kicked and the new RTX 2080's coming out, prices are falling across the board. Looks like we are in a buyers market again!
Check your video card OEM for warranty information. I was able to sent this Fury X in for repair and had it back pretty quickly. I sold it on eBay shortly after, then upgraded my main PC to a Vega 64 liquid and the backup PC to a Vega 56. As much as I loved them, even two Fury X cards in CrossFire is not enough power in 2019.
@@gulskjegg-x I bought the card in 2015. I'm pretty sure it was only a 1 year warranty. Regardless I've emailed VisionTek and they've never replied :S I wish there was some kind of semi-cheap fix. I really don't want to buy a $100 water block.
Sounded strange. I don't have a clue. The only experience I have is that I got a 290 OC from a friend overseas awhile back. Installing went smoothly, but I got a sound that reminds me of this sound. Just not as loud as this one.. All I did was uninstalling it, do some excessive cleaning and it was back to being quiet. And it is still being silent and a amazing graphicscard. But as I said I don't think that is your issue but maybe worth a try? (If you know how not to damage anything and get it back in one piece). If not then maybe go to a repairshop and show them the video and see if they got any ideas how to fix it/if it can be fixed? Because that does not sound normal at all. If it were me, I would have gotten my money back from the seller on ebay you bought it from and return it.
I agree with what Nightgod said. You should first try contacting the seller and show them this video to justify your speculations. For the time being, there is no guarantee that it is a pump failure as your temp still looks perfectly normal during the bench-marking. Could it be merely some annoying coil whine?
The guy you gave you that 290OC from sounds like a pretty cool dude. There are recent reviews of the 290 that show is still good to this day. What is happening with this Fury X is the bearings in the water block itself have gone bad, and unit is eating into itself. It's only a matter of time before the pump seizes up and fries the GPU. I sent a message to the seller, and will give him a chance to explain himself. I doubt the post office damaged the card because I have 2 other Fury X's and they were not damaged in shipping. If the seller does not respond properly, I will give him a negative review and ask eBay to refund my purchase.
I contacted the seller, but have not heard back from him yet. He owes me a partial refund at the very least for inaccurate information regarding the item. Anyhow, I can feel thumping when I touch the card, so this a physical manifestation, not a harmonics issue. The pump block is defective , and it's is a known problem with these cards. There are plenty of videos on RUclips about Fury X water pump problems.
Yeah he was a good friend of mine and a really cool dude. Easy to hang and chill with =). One day he just deleted me from every plattform we had contact on, and when I asked him why he told me he didn't speak english (wich is bs, we had been communicating in english only for almost 2-3 years) and that was the last I heard of him. Never know what happend that made him reach such a conclusion but I didn't wanna nag so I just moved on. Still hoping that someday I might at least get an explanation why, because to me it came out of the blue and I lost one of my few friends that I enjoyed hanging out with =( And you should definitely get a good partial refund from the seller. I agree with you that it is no way the post office did this. The fault at hand lies with the seller.
Gulskjegg this physical manifestation is a solid piece of proof of pump failure. For now, unless you get a reply from the seller regarding the refund try not to power on the card to avoid further wearing of the bearing or possible damage to the chip itself.
im in the same boat my fury x pump so loud i can hear it in the next room im probably going to get a water block from alphacool

Did you do this? Did it work?
I have had this issue for a year now and have been unable to solve :(

@@Cryptobones117 Maybe look for a used water-block on eBay?
@@Cryptobones117 Maybe you could do a fixed voltage mod for the pump?
Karl.H Künstler it’s due to the pump motor, not coil whine. Do you think that would help still?

Sorry for the irrevelant comment, but what do you think of the new GTA Online Smugglers Run DLC?
It's OK. Modders are still pretty much in ever session, and until that changes, I advice people to not give any money to Rockstar.
