Thank you for posting this video! My father passed away and left me his T240 riding mower. The throttle broke the other day while mowing, and I did not know how to fix it. You made this very easy to follow, and I appreciate your help!
Thank you good sir, idk wtf happened or what I ran into but the throttle wouldn’t choke after I got done mowing 2 days ago, the throttle was very loose. And you helped me understand what I need to look for and how to deal with The issue
Thank you for the video, it was very helpful. I used the information in your video and I repaired the hole for the cable using super glue and baking soda.I then drilled the hole out using a 1/16 drillbit. I saved some money, and it works like a charm. Your video saved me time and money.
Thanks! I'm on my third one, but now I can do it without having to pay $100 or so. Also, thanks for the tip of spraying the cable with lube. It glides easily now, and i think that may be part of why these things don't last...
Hope it lasts a long time. Thanks for the comment. One for an LT2000 will last a lifetime, but you have to be willing to do a small amount of fabrication. It is all metal.
Here is a little secret. If you buy one for an LT2000 and install a metal plate to put it on, it will last decades. I have a new one for an LT2000 just waiting in storage.
@@hemispherecars5616 will look into that as I don't know why they have cable just hooked through drilled out hole in plastic keeps ripping through plastic
Thank You.... I'm a woman who's hubby stays out in oil. Field. IM the one fixing this stuff by. Myself. Only ?? I got..... Where do I set. The dash throttle at b4 tightening tension clamp ?? Rabbit 🐇 Turtle 🐢 Or MID POINT b4 tightening clamp screw ??? Anybody ?? My first attempt...😂 It choked at mid point 😂..... Or. Will. Butterfly spring adjust it automatically ??? Letting it cool a minute right now.... Burnt the snot outta my finger on muffler 😂😳🤣
When it's cool put the Throttle on Choke ( Rabbit ) all the way up. Remove the hood. Take off the air filter ( So you can see the butterfly valve "choke" ) and move the Throttle so it is slightly choked and tighten. You will have to probably adjust it a few times to get it so it starts and runs properly. You might want to have some starter fluid handy. Hope this helps.

Great to hear! It's often a learning process for me also.

Mine just broke the other day. Less then 3 years old.
Yes, if it was made of metal instead of cheap plastic it would last decades. This way they can sell lots of replacements. Thanks for your comment.
On 3rd one now
