Thanks for the great tutorial! One note: depending on what you're using the tractor for after taking the deck off, you may want to remove the black rear right hanger as well. I have no idea how it happened, but mine got bent somehow. I used the mower for a number of things after removing the deck. Kind of surprised anything I did could have bent it, but it happened. The way mine bent made it seem like there was a bend to get around the chassis and there were no marks on the hanger so I didn't think it could have been bent. Easy to bend back so it wasn't a big deal, but I spent quite a while trying to figure out what I was doing wrong trying to put it back on. Finally looked at a photo of a hanger online and realized it was bent. I wish I knew what caused it because it makes me think I was harder on the machine than I thought. Anyways, it might be a good extra precaution for everyone planning to use the tractor with the deck off. Great video, though. My situation is probably very rare.

Thank you so much for your video. I bought a used YTS3000 a couple of months ago. My first ever riding mower. I do not have one on replacing the spindle but it is not to bad. Remove the blade, then remove the 4 bolts that holds the spindle. I would purchase a entire spindle assembly that comes with the hub, bearings and shaft all in one. You can look up the part number you need from the model number underneath the seat of your machine. Just go to Sears parts direct online and you will be able to get the part number for the hub assembly. Take that part number and you can normally get a aftermarket on Amazon for a decent price. Try to also get new mounting hardware with the hub.

Yes, most mower decks that have an electric PTO clutch are just like yours. I think your machine has an electric PTO clutch? that powers the mower deck and if that is the case then you only have spring tension that keeps the mower deck belt tight.
