I thought there should be more travel in the levers. Good fix to this problem. Has the Fluids been changed in the Hydrostatic Tranmission and pump. That could also help the speed improve. They (Sears) say they are non serviceable, but they are.

Yes and no .The diy'er does not how to do it right. why Manufacturer knows that the end user will mess up. and ask for warranty. Ae: Contamination Plus unless you have a leak. You don't need to change it really you don't. Unlike the pro units with filters that need changing because of use. Ae: lots of heat on tho's units. How do i know this? Iam a former outdoor power equip.tech. of 15+ years. Stay safe Fly the flag.

My LT1000 was way out of warranty and wouldn't move when hot or on the side of a hill. Nothing to lose here, so I took it apart and found the transaxle way low on pump oil. No idea where it went, but I filled it back up with 20-50 oil. Been running great for weeks now. Like I said " Nothing to lose".

Grass should be cut slower than most want to do. A slow cut looks better.
    Vacuum your carpet the same.

That is a blanket statement. St. Auvustine grass shoukd be mowed much higher than most do. In the summer, 4.5" is ideal or slightly taller. Bermuda and centepide like to be mowed much lower,

love your jack stand although a block will take tons of weight when placed flat, they are not so good when standing or on the side.

I’ve got a 2006 craftsman gt5000 but it won’t roll freely even when rear neutral pin is pulled out. I re did the brake but nothing was wrong with them. Jacked the rear up & wheels move freely by hand but go in opposite directions. ??? Any help!

    • @Lukeluzier86

The wheels go in the opposite direction because that’s how the dif works
As for the other problems I have no idea

If the transmission has ever been opened. There is a tiny pin that pushes the motor out enough to free the pressure to make it roll free. The pin is easily lost if you don't know it's there.
If it hasn't been opened, somewhere in the linkage is probably messed up.
      Maybe rotating on the spindle???

Good job But. You just voided your manufacturer liability coverage by modified part w/o the manufacturer authority telling to do so in writing. How do i know this. Iam a former outdoor power equip.tech. of 15+ years. Now you can increase the engine rpm's by +50 to a 100 rpm's by the book with in the manufactuers rpm's guide lines. That will help you with ground speed and blade tip speed and stay with in spec's and be covered. #2 check linkage for binding or pedal adj. maybe out of adj's. Ground speed is not the end all be all. A slow to med.speed is better for a higher quality of cut and sharp blades. And that apy's for all mowers . Plus if you want to cut your mowing time you need a zero turnng mower. A frt. or rer will never beat a z-rider for ground speed...Plus it's the zero turning that beat's you not the ground speed.... You can have both A Frt eng rider and a zero with the same cut size and ground speed. and the "z" will still beat you. Seen it with my own eyes. Been there done that. Stay safe and happy mowing every one out their. And yes i still have all of my fingers...
