I actually lived in Seoul and had a decent sized pet turtle I bought from itaewon off the street with a little turtle too. During the summer I would put them out in a tub on the balcony during the summer, and one day it rained like a monsoon almost, and my little one disappeared. Another time I was cleaning the tub on the balcony, and mind you I didnt know anything about fishkeeping etc. I was in highschool in the 2ks...my turtle ran off the balcony as I forgot it didnt have a barrier under the metal railing. He dropped 3 stories. I went down to rescue him, and he was literally shell shocked from the freefall. One of his sides was cracked. Surely enough, his shell healed, and he survived. When we left Korea, my Dad gave him to a pet lover. She updated us with photos, and treated him like a dog and let him run around the apartment. He grew in size much larger than when he was in the tub and aquarium. She even potty trained it somehow. I can attest Korea does it different.
Chris, If you have a stiff neck and a fever and haven't seen a doctor, please do so now. You may be ok but the combo of a fever and stiff neck should not be ignored and you should be checked out to be sure. (I am an old ER nurse).

I live in Langley, BC. I breed Japanese medaka. I keep them very successfully in tub ponds (15-100g) ponds year round. This is my third summer with them. If you’re in zone 8 b or higher in your area, you should definitely look into them. I do put poly over and an air stone into the 15g tubs over winter and they are against my house on a covered front porch but the fish thrive and I find they do seem live longer than, the fish I kept indoors year round the first winter, if they get to have the winter cool down as well. They’re wonderful little fish. I’m currently working on orange/black spotted/striped, tricolour, redcap, and black/white spotted/striped lines. Rogers Aquatics (Surrey), April’s Aquarium (Vancouver), and Aquariums West seem to carry them semi-regularly. I give fish I didn’t sell over the summer and my culls to Fish Addicts (Langley) at some point in September when they can take them and when the fish are big enough. I always wanted a goldfish or koi pond but lacked the skill and finances to do it properly. These little fish more than exceeded my expectations of them immediately after I set up my first patio pond. 12/10 would recommend. Selfishly, I’d love to see you make medaka content. I love watching patio pond builds and they just aren’t being made at the speed that I am consuming them 😂 Sorry for the info dumping essay. I really enjoy your videos. I hope you find a new and fulfilling fish obsession the way I have!
Coke Zero is probably contributing to your sickness! The best way to kick a soda addiction for me was to get a sodastream and just making unflavored sparkling water... it's 20x better than regular water and also scratches that itch for bubbles. Good luck Chris!
@@FishForThought You mentioned how having ice water in a cup w a straw tricks you into drinking more water - well the carbonation in the soda water does the some thing relative to coke zero. It's the best bridge. I still drink soda on the weekends or out to dinner, but "spicy water only" as I call it during the week.
argh I hope you start feeling better quickly :/ qotw- it depends on the cause of the bad day. If I'm feeling physically ill, I like to cuddle up with some dogs or a cat and drink apple juice with sprite in it. If its my brain, I get quiet, self isolate, and detach until it's over. If I come home pissy from work, then I swear a lot and stomp around until I'm chill enough to paint or do something creative. My husband is my lovely support for all three options as he's the one to prep the apple juice+sprite combo, will keep a running inane conversation going when I'm not actually present, will make me laugh when I'm swearing and stomping, and then gas up the artwork too. He's amazing :)

tortle on a leash is crazy
but I would honestly enjoy it but maybe with a crestie (fr
ikr haha
When I have a bad day I just go out in nature and listen to some chill music
i need that right now
I live in Langley, BC.
I love watching patio pond builds and they just aren’t being made at the speed that I am consuming them 😂
Sorry for the info dumping essay. I really enjoy your videos. I hope you find a new and fulfilling fish obsession the way I have!
ok ty i am saving this comment and taking notes i didn't know this was possible
It might sound cheesy but my rescue from a bad mood is actually going for a walk ^^' Or cleaning my fishtank :)
I wish you a quick recovery :)
ty!
The best Monday morning show 🐟💯

Coke Zero is probably contributing to your sickness! The best way to kick a soda addiction for me was to get a sodastream and just making unflavored sparkling water... it's 20x better than regular water and also scratches that itch for bubbles. Good luck Chris!
omg xD pls noooooo
@@FishForThought You mentioned how having ice water in a cup w a straw tricks you into drinking more water - well the carbonation in the soda water does the some thing relative to coke zero. It's the best bridge. I still drink soda on the weekends or out to dinner, but "spicy water only" as I call it during the week.
The only problem I have with the leashed swimming turtle is that it's highly possible that it gets parasites from the outside.
Sweat is actually a good thing when you have a fever. It means your temperature is coming down and you are on the road to healing. YAY!
right! that's what my parents tell me too and I believe it
argh I hope you start feeling better quickly :/
qotw- it depends on the cause of the bad day.
Nostalgic food with a feel good movie.
love that
Feel better, Chirs! I feel like lately every season is flu season :/
Get well soon and try filling up the sink with warm water and wash you're face for 5mins it will help clear it out and help you to breathe
FTR with my breakfast! LETS GOOOO!!!
If I'm having a bad day I take my dogs for a walk in the woods and when I get back I tend too be in a much better frame of mind.
Love your channel! You inspired me to do a live plant natural 5gallon fish tank. I have 1 pea puffer named Chickpea and she enjoys watching your videos with me 😂😊 Hope you feel better! Also I might get a crested gecko soon. It will be my first reptile, anything I should know before I get them?
tyty!
crested gecko...
i recommend getting an automatic mister. Very not expensive and very easy to set up. amazon
@@FishForThought thank you so much! I’m getting them next week and I’ll let you know what I name them and how they’re doing!
I hope you get to feeling better, but I would go get checked out. Neck pain with fever could be something else besides the flu.
Anyway, thanks for telling me about the Threadfin rainbows! They are pretty!
tyty!
Hey there crazy FISHMAN! Feel better soon!

Chris feel better soon. Btw what kind of fish was the big one that looked like a type of puffer? The video right before the threadfin rainbow fish. Thank you
Whenever I'm having a bad day I just build gunpla. It's not a cost effective way to relax but it's very therapeutic.
yoo that's chill
I go for a hike on bad days, when I can, or I read to escape reality lol I also love to go to my LFS and look at the fish, maybe take something home to add to one of my tanks

Lemon balm and mint water, it probably won't cure you but it makes life better❤

Goldfish with neon tetras. That’s not natural. Neons like 28c water and gold fish are cold water
