VPG lent me their V-PGT wheel for a few days. Having never seen, touched, held or used a luxury wheel before, I could hardly refuse their offer - this was as much about me as it is about them. I'll see it again further down the road for a full on review.

Man, racing the Porsche 992 gt3 R in VR with this would be my ultimate combo
I am close to buying this wondering 2 things A how do you get on with no funky switches? And B so you feel the FFB more with the all carbom Fiber? Currently use Gsi Hyper P and Simucube pro 2.
Not something we will see everyday. It would be an honour to have my thumbs broken by such an item.

It's pretty lightweight and well sized, so it goes well

No funky switches for that price is a huge oversight.
No dual clutches either - that's probably the one thing that would bar me from buying this particular wheel myself as I absolutely use dual clutches all the time, but then you're pushing the cost more and more
@dannyleeracing Yes, agreed. For me though after iRacing more or less canceled clutching on GT3's for fuel savings I rarely ever use them. Even in Pcup I find it just as easy to hold the brake and throttle. Where as the funky switch I use every race requiring a fuel stop. It's a shame because it's a beautiful wheel especially for a Porsche fan
@@robcampbell6099 thanks for your feedback. You could emulate the funky switch to go through black boxes and menus using the thumb rotaries as you'd still have 58inputs left to assign to other controls 😬
