The Tetris one you showed off was really cool already, but having an entire library makes this 10x times better!
Agreed, and I want to look into how to create games for it during the winter when things slow down, but in the meantime it's amazing to see what the community has created for it. There are even shooters that play in TATE mode!

Yeah, I really hope that over time they are able to resupply so they could get back in stock so it can be more accessible. This chip shortage is brutal.
Excellent video. I wanted one of these things really bad. I got into Pico-8 development for a while and I want to develop for a handheld gaming device with an open architecture. The Play Date is just too expensive for me to get into, but the regular ticket price of 60 bucks is perfect for this thing. .. too bad its always sold out.
Thanks, and yeah I'm hoping that it comes back in stock. The Steam Deck surpassed manufacturing expectations and I'm hoping that's a sign that the chip shortage is starting to get better, but we'll see.

Looks great but the fact that 200 games come preloaded kind of kills it for me.
That's the main draw of the FX model, if you get the base one I think it doesn't come with any games. Also I haven't tried it, but I think you might be able to remove the ones that come on this one to customize it more.
Agreed. This little critter is why I'm NOT buying the playdate.

They seemed to be having trouble filling orders during the chip shortage, but it's good to see Arduboy thriving again! These make great stocking stuffers!
