Sirene actully just means Siren. A mermaid is a type of Siren, a Siren is not necessarily a Mermaid though. /nitpick Great vid! Oh yeah one more thing though, the 'One' screen was way too loud for headphone users xD
Gamer Geek World Last time I checked the Arduboy store it said that they are now in stock which is good news for anyone thinking of picking one up. As always thanks for watching mate. Have a great week.
Depends on the complexity of your game and what you set it to, I saw a few tutorials that used a refresh rate of 60 or 75 fps. So that's pretty good! (Could be they skip a frame here and there, haven't tested them or anything.)
Garvals, their website now says that they are in stock so if international shipping hasn't started it should do very soon. It's taken a while but things now seem to be moving along quickly with getting Arduboy's out for the world to enjoy. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, have a great week.
Cool :) that Amy girl game with zombies reminded me a lot about zombies on the snes or zombies ate my neighbors that it's called also. I want one of those I think. Gonna have a look at your other video you talked about a bit in the beginning of the vid. I just subscribed to you! :)
Ellinor, Hey thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment. Yes if your thinking of getting one check out our other video in which I tell you all about the Arduboy and how to install games on to it. It's fairly easy once you know how and get used to it and the good news is that all the games are free to download. Also the last time I checked the Arduboy website they were now in stock. Thanks for the sub we really appreciate it.
I have this and it definitely has that cool factor but I had issues getting games on the device. It was also kind of annoying that you can only load one game at the time!
@@Letstalkretro Well 2 of those arent even boards thyre just the handheld console already finished. Im just doing research. But i was really curious to see how would the arduino perform for gaming. There is another open source board that is from china the orange pi. Something affordable and open source would be the best.
I get a throw back and a short flash back to the good ol days.. But how can any person actually play an 8 bit game for an extended period of time in 2018, with all of the crazy tech and gaming rigs we have available.. Like really how much time can you guys spend on one of these without thinking of grabbing a smartphone with 1080p+ resolution.. I get that feeling just watching this video.
Hi it’s totally community driven and you should have no probs finding and source code. Feel free to let us know how you get on if you make any cool mods of games.
Can you put gb games on this or is it just creating and downloading user made games? I bet there are some people who have made exact clones of gb games.
Ya, not impressed. ...Sorry. I'm sure that electronics nerds will love this but as for a retro gaming console in this day & age I don't see the point in creating anything sub-NES. And this is coming from someone who had a monochrome computer with no graphics capability. I played text games growing up. Should have gave it color, more pixels & some better graphics capabilities. These games are to monotonous for me.

Hope that you guys are doing ok.
I hope the screen has a fast refresh. lol. I love this little game system, I'll get one one day.

Virus LQP-79 is a clone of the snes and master system game Zombies Ate My Neighbors
You should do a new video for best FX games. Castle Boy looks great but I haven't played it yet. Just got mine in the mail today.
Bigger screen would be good for us old guys
The background music got annoying very very quickly
squario :D :D :D hahahahah...buying this console wtf.
I know Justin Cyr! Met him when he was still at Ubisoft. Glad to see he is still working on games!
What is Kiko Vader?
Can't wait to get Arduboy! Wonder if its available for international shipping already...

Waiting for "F-29 Retaliator" with 1 bit color graphics.
Now that would be good. Maybe.
how is that number 1?

8:58 RIP my ears :-P
Virus is a game I have been looking to play on the Arduboy... I was looking for Gameboy like games because essentially this is a wallet size Gameboy!
I have this and it definitely has that cool factor but I had issues getting games on the device. It was also kind of annoying that you can only load one game at the time!
Great video! How long does the battery last?
How to put the games here
some games looking good! Just need to buy an Arduboy :D
Well i guess arduino is not great for portable consoles. Im thinking of a pocky 32 or a raspberry with an lcd screen in a case or an mp5 for gaming.
Hi. Sounds like a great project. If you make a start I’d love to follow your progress. Thanks for watching.

Do these games come with source code? is it community driven?

TeamARG obviously sets the standard but I'm surprised these guys didn't mention Star Honor.
Any chance of a follow-up? :D
thank you for this video
RocketRaccoon thank you and thanks to you for watching and taking the time to comment, we really appreciate it.
эммм... баловство все это какое-то, с таким же успехом, во многие из подобных игр можно играть на ipod nano 2gen например, с прошивкой rockbox... )))
arduboy is superbly designed. impressive
Porque no le ponen un NYAN CAT
:v
Because they don’t put a Nyan cat. I’m sorry I don’t understand but thanks for watching.

OpTic KTG Hi, it's all user made games but yes there are lots of clones of old games available. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
But can it run doom?
I’m sure someone somewhere is making a port. Thanks for watching take care.
This is a nice video, but the music you used for the countdown was really droning and grating to me.
8:27
Kirby
So this is like the wonder swan??? :)
not really, the wonderswan had a better screen and better games.
Wonder swan is basically like playing a first gen game boy advance. The games still hold up pretty well actually
>arduboy
>must play
choose one
Arduboy=Atari 2600 👎

Chris Turnblom eeeehhhm gotta agree with you. will gameboy advance do ?
I guess.
Then don’t buy one.
