- This is a project that I have been working on for some time. I sincerely hope you enjoyed it. ( :
WARNING: DO NOT look into the LED at close range when powered, it has the power to burn through your retina in seconds.
If you plan to make this, there are few things to remember;
1. depending on the parts you bought, my design may not fit perfectly.
2. you may need to drill a few holes here and there, especially when mounting the battery compartment.
3. The fan needs to be overvolted slightly to keep the LED cool, alternatively, you may use a 50W LED, and set the current to 1.5A, everything else remains the same.
4. You MUST print the Parts beyond the voltage booster in ABS or other higher temperature plastic. PLA will melt.

wow... this is a real DIY project! Nothing fake! Thanks!
That why i sub him 😘
Good
5:54 iPhone fleshlight: can’t see anything
100W DIY fleshlight: can’t see anything
Hi, this was an amazing project and I really liked it.
But one main issue is that the 3S lipo battery used does not have an over discharge protection thus causing problems.
Thus, it would be great if you fixed a BMS with balance charging for the flashlight battery and also provide charging facility.
-oh it's dark...
-wait i take my flashlight
-wtf is this? you wanna create a new sun?
hhhhhhh
😅 😅 😅
I subscribed just because of this flashlight. Amazing job, looked like you paid close attention to every little detail!
Love it your a true DIY guy and can't wait for the video for powerbank
Great print 3d. Nice video
Could have just use a potentiometer and get rid of all the gears
I mean technically that is a pot on the boost converter.
well yes but then you wouldn't have gears
Great job, looks awesome!
so much hard work man . love it
Videos are great, like them better when your explaining as your building instead of the awesome dance music. Thanks
Awesome, inspired by your work! Subbed to you for this video and the power bank one as well :)
You might be able to kill Dracula with that thing
Really Very Nice project
Can you tell me how many cells and how many volts this battery is? What battery needs at least a few volts and a few milliamperes of hours and a few cells. Thank you
i like that flashlight
Dang this is extremely well done! I really appreciate the color coordinated schematic it really helps to understand what everything does! I've been really interested in all of the videos you've put up so far! I've been planing on making my own stuff butt its really cool to see how and what someone else made. Anywho keep it up!
This is awesome. but this design can be improved.
1. replace gears with potentiometer for simpler stuff.
2. Acetone vapor to make 3D print smooth.
3. Counter sunk with black screws.
4. Thermal fuse cutoff
brother tq .i didn't know about smoothing the 3d print before.....i searched after your comment.. its amazing
@@netrapatil2169 Hi, today I came across your video again. :)
I love the work you do ,love your channel. You are one of the best diy creators on RUclips
Thats cool but i have three questions. #1. How long does the battery last? #2. How much & #3. Depending on the price i would like one for myself as long as it don't cost a ridiculous amount
@Mykel Hardin no not really. But it doesn't hurt to ask cause you never know right?
nice work. you are subscribed. greetings from germany. thx.
Two things:
One: how do I mount the voltage booster? (I ordered two, neither came with their own heatsink)
Two: what are those four lights that go directly above the voltmeter?
Awesome!
On your next projekt you could send me the wireing diagram and i could design it in fritzing
Great work! Keep making videos please!
That's awesome and great
Really you make a super bright led light. I like your project.
Nice Job. I really like the build.
1:14 Reverse polarity? ... But, it's very nice. I want to make one myself.
I think there is an error in your wiring diagram: the step-down regulator for the fan is powered from the battery, not from the output of the boost converter... The step-down wouldn't surive the voltage from the boost converter
dang i expect that flashlight in the darkest forest like the famous one in Japan (Aokigahara - ''Suicide Forest'')
Im really interested in building one by my self. I have some experience with 100w led, and from looking at heatsink your using I have to ask you if it isn’t overheating. I’m using larger heatsink and I still find it quite hot.
how do i power the converter? the battery i used overpowered the converter and broke it. also the lipo battery isnt sold anymore
I did not see what voltage was the battery?
you should start selling this staff from your website or something, I don't see myself to build this up, but i will definitely buy it.
any how you have a new subscriber
You can buy high quality flashlights that are 1/4 the size of this thing that are way brighter.
Might as well by the flashlight if you have to buy all the parts, which I’m sure each are not cheap. Lol. It’s cool though
Mujhe 1km tak (approx) distance cover karne wala chahiye torch milega kya
Excelente montaje y buen diseño. Usandola a plena potencia debe acortarse rápido la vida util de muchos componentes de la linterna pero realmente es genial y una asombrosa la potencia de esa linterna, te felicito
watt the hell this is crazy
Holy shtit wowww!! Nice Flashlight!! Nice work!!
What's a shtit? A silent tit? :-)
Nice job
But very expensive
It's cheap considering how bright it is, only expensive part here is battery pack.
I made one almost 4 years ago and it still works just fine.
@@cekpi7 how much watts do u sell
@@techit4124 What do you mean? I don't sell anything.
@@cekpi7 Probably he/she meant the watt of your flashlight. Like this video's one is 100W
Cool device, terrible music, but hey, tech is more important.
I came here for the music. . . . . . big disappointment!! :-)
how long does the battery last
Now add a zoom or focusing function to it and turn it into a badass laser beam like
Ухты нихуя себе! Никто до этого не догадался раньше. Стоммллипрдный ролик.
WOw, I need this, tired of buying crap flashlights that break in few time.
u need protection cuircut for the lipo or u will kill it with over discharge.
Have you ever thought about making your stuff as a kit diy?
How many minutes can survive torch ??
I don’t have a 3d printer how much could I buy one from u
Hai kak ingin tahu berapa ampere pada batrai lipo.?...?berapa volt berapa ampere.?..?
Superb, best diy flashlight project on youtube!
does the air from the fan blow towards the heat sink or does the fan draw air away from the heat sink ???
Blow to heatsink
i made a cob head light and i set the fan to blow towards the heatsink but someone told me the fan should be taking heat away from the heatsink and should run cooler....im using smaller heat sink and i can not run the head lamp at full current in fact only about 1 amp otherwise casing starts to get hotter
Super Awesome DIY thanks for this.
Very nice. Could you please specify a source for the optional extra lens?
you ever find it?
Can i use 5400 Lipo Battery? I don't see any 2650 batteries in Vietnam! (because I live in Vietnam).
1:54 Who might actually want to put 54 screws?
thanks..now i have my own..buy from shop
what kind of volt meter is that?
I was thinking "sweet", until you broke out the 3D printing part. I don't have a 3D printer, I don't know anyone with a 3D printer, and a 3D printer is out of my budget. Should have found a way to do the housing without the use of a technology that is still not widely available.
have you tested it out in real use like for a constant long time and see if it is stable and nothing melts?
If that's a 7.4 2650mah lipo he has like 15-20mins tops of full continous lighting
Very nice project with full details .. Also u showed by using 50watt chip.. Woow.. I wish to make the same by using 20 watts led. What will b the voltage and amp to b set??
Hi very nice project one question about which is the best way conect with the battery lipo o maybe make some block from liion pack.I not understand much about electricity. Thanks
but how long can u keep it turned on
Won't the 3D printed case (especially the led holding one) get melted because of high temperature of a heatsink ?
Which runs hotter?
A- i9 9900k
B- a nuclear power plant
C- the sun
D- oNe ShInY bOi
Does anyone know where to find a mini step down regulator that will take more than 28V input? The one he appears to use is only 28V maximum input.
Dude... this was cool... can i just buy your 100W Flashlight, or maybe you can give it to me... hehehe... thanks
A give away ??
I want to build something like this but for a head lamp helmet mounted with battery pack that can go in a vest .i work on towers at night at a ski resort in storms to go fix or to remove excess snow i need long running time and i like how u have the ability to control the brightness
What did you say at the end there? I can't see.
can i use 250watts boost converter for the project? and how will i charge the batteries? thank you
I do not have the technical capacity to build this, so I only want to ask you if this flashlight is as bright as the lighting used in a tennis court.
Good way to blind someone's eyes
2 to 56 screws is very vague
wy not using a fuse between the dc jack and the lipo for if ther is a short or does the lipo have the short protection circuit
but nice video +sub
Nice work! have you tried it during the daytime? i just wondering if it can eliminate the deep shadows made by sunlight.
Really?!
What is the name of the application you used to draw the model before making it.
Thank you, this is amazing! I am currently building it... The step-down for the fan will not step up, so it makes no sense to connect it right to the battery. Also connecting it to 32 volts booster output, it will rise to 100°C within seconds, so it will not survive it long. I decide to connect the fan directly to the battery.
I think, I will connect the step-down for the fan between battery+ and booster+, so the voltage drops by the voltage of the battery (about 10 volts). Do you think that is a bad idea? Let me know!
Nice Torch
How many minutes can flashlight shine at max output?
the flashlight consumes 100W, so a 100Wh battery will last 1w, a 50Wh battery will last 30min.
@@kralyn3d thank you
Great work nice video
outstanding! amazing job, thanks
The flash light is exactly like high beams which can blind drivers
Is it possible to recharge the flashlight when it's assembled?
What is the price of complete light
Now my homemade 200W led flashlight is nothing compared to this
Sir is torch ko sell kr skte ho
Mujhe need hoti h border pr
🤣 a new weapon against vampires.
I like your video and I love the new technology with LED where they could lower your electric bill and save money
Secure with 2-56 screws.
Can I just buy one from you?
Hi, Hello nice to meet u brother, can I get one full component with the fully finished product from you means how much it will take cost? can I get fully assembled from you for my own use???
Pls let me know if possible, and here I mentioned my whats app no for ur ref. +91 9994101516. pls, do the needful. :-)
