I was able to tweak some of the plug features on a $17 (del) set of 5) JJR/C 260mAh 3.7V 30c batteries, which can extent flying time and/or power the camera during flight. The batteries are the same W & D size as the orig. 150mAh battery and battery cage but they are a few mm longer. I used a new sharp Xacto and sliced the corners on the rear wall of the cage to let that wall bend backward when the longer batteries are installed. The 5) batteries come with a USB charger that handles the charging of all 5 batteries at the same time. Can't wait to mod the camera on next.
Just a heads up, the "upgraded" motors that have been linked to are only 5200rpm. In the description of the f36 on GearBest it says it comes with 6000rpm motors, stock. Of course, I didn't notice until AFTER placing my order haha.
You would have to get the upgraded flight controller -- then buy a controller that would connect to it. Controller/transmitter would cost you 60-300 $$ flight controller 20 $$
Thanx for the revue Jason. Just got my Furibee flew great real stable as indoor flyer for now, weather being as it may be . But after my third flight , my battery connection to the board came undone.Looks like some bad solder points in a critical spot.Because of the close proximity battery and unit connection point , I think would work better with a pig tail connector then being hard soldered direct to the board. Dang grounded for now.Appreciate all the reviews and info you pass along to the community. Best regards.
I actually ended up purchasing the drone and camera. I did not have the camera installed, but the second flight ever, the little battery expanded and vented mid-flight! I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the quad is okay. Ended up ordering a 4 way charger pack. Another thing to note, the charger it comes with is very flimsy and broke within my backpack.
So I just got one of these and I flew it for awhile without the camera and it flew amazing. I put the camera on and It feels extremely sluggish and can barely stay in the air, are the upgraded motors really any better than stock, I'm hearing mixed reviews in the comments. I don't expect it to preform as amazing as It did, but I would like it to preform a little better than it is now.
thanks for the review. I will be ordering these items as a first time Quad purchase. can you tell me what battery charger you recommend? I want to order about five batteries and would like to charge several at a time. thanks!
I first found out about the FuriBee F36 on the GearBest RUclips channel and knew I had to get it but after watching a few videos and going through the site I found out about another drone (JJRC H36) so I couldn't decide which drone to get. After watching videos about the two drones I have come to a conclusion that I will be buying a FuriBee F36 Mini Drone. Although I might end up buying both drones. Thank you for the video and Happy New Year!
Thanks for the review. I ordered one yesterday from GB as well as a 3 gram cam from MyRCMart. I was hoping that the standard motors are powerful enough to carry the FPV Cam. Have you seen any lift test results for the standard motors vs the upgraded motors.
Just received the F3 flight control board but no instructions. Found a wiring diagram in chinese which should help but just wondering if you have used this board yet? Any advice on wiring/soldering placement would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Stubee.
Great review Justin!! It's been a long time since I last used a soldering iron. I assume you use low heat to solder the wires onto the flight controller?
Thanks for this video. It's great. I just recently got into quadcopters and wanted to try modding something for FPV. Going to give this a try. Unfortunately the goggles listed here aren't in stock. Anyone know of another brand at a similar price? I'm hoping to keep the entire purchase under $100.
I'm completely new to quads and it's this exact model I'm looking at for a tiny whoop project, I just wondered a couple of things... I know the battery life goes down with extra weight so is there any way to up that without carrying extra batteries? I know I probably sound stupid asking that but I just wondered, also... would it be possible to change the leds for different colours or somehow distribute the light under the props? Again I am totally new to this so please don't judge
Hello, I would not mess with the LEDs. As for the batteries, I would get the upgraded batteries. 3.7 45c or even better - 3.7 220 mah (you will need to solder on the connector for the 220) I have the original battery connector plus my 220mah connector solder onto my board. So I have the choice of useing two diff batteries.
I bought the f 36 s but after seeing this review is the F36s even worth it will you do a mod upgrade for it I thought it would be better but this one looks a lot more substantial just because they put a fr sky receiver that let the board antana and motors stay lame or am I wrong. Keep kickin ass and taking names your vids have saved me lots of times thank you for your time your the man
Ordered two of these for my kids for xmas (more like 2 for me since they will lose interest after day1) What batteries would you suggest for these? I'm not sure I'll get around to converting them to FPV for awhile but either way they need power! Thanks in advance @dronecampsrc!
I've just received this quad and installed a camera on it direct to the power port like every video on here and when i turn the quad on and try flying it, there is tons of lines in the screen and i can't fly it with fpv for that reason.. could you help out ??
are the upgraded motors really more powerful than the stock furibee motors? furibee stock is 43500rpm i believe and the upgrades you linked is 52000rpm but on the site it shows 5200 is it really stronger? i saw a post from someone here they upgraded the motors but got more punch from the stock?
I want to use my Hitec 1s 4 inputs charger, can you tell me what plug is on the battery, please? Great video. I bought the cam and quad on seeing your video, but I think I'll leave the motor upgrade till one of the motors burns out. Then I'll upgrade all four. Thanks again and don't forget the plug question. Subscribed John.
Very interesting stuff.. I would like to give it a like (y) but its deactivated. Dont be afraid to see the like bar. Keep it up.. I am about to buy one of this and later on, after I learn, I would like to upgrade it with a camera and maybe the motors.. Question. Wouldnt it be much easier to just cut the cables and add the female connector? so if later you want to replace a motor it would be so easy to do...
Hello, great video i subbed just bought the exact setup. I just have one question about the battery. The FuriBee F36 battery says 3.7V 150mAh 20C, and the JJRC H36 battery says 3.7V 150mAh 30C. My question is will it harm the motors because it is 30c instead of 20c, Or are they the same battery but just has the specs listed different? Just wondering because i dont want to ruin the setup in the first day of having it lol!
I bought the drone with a second battery. The second battery is not plugging into or out of the port easily. Will Gearbest help to warranty? How does someone go about contacting them?
Hi there. I like check with you on the Furibee F36. I just received my set today. This is my first drone, and pretty excited to play with it. But I realised it does not fly upwards smoothly when I push the left control joystick front. It will tend to wooble to the sides. It will take quite a bit of space to maneuver banging into walls before it gets some height. Is this normal???
hey man i just made a phantom 1 electronics into a phantom 2 shell with new motor's same kv and so i soldered on the first motor which is the back left and then i plugged everything im to test if it's spinning the right way and so then i soldered on the 2nd back right motor and also tested it then i just did the other 2 at same time and tested it and so i had to rotate the naza 180° so that the arrow will look forward and so when i put everything together and took of it just instafliped on me and i realised that the first 2 motor's i did are going into full throttle and that's what's making the flipover what do u think i should do some people told me that the drone needs to be fully calibrated with laptop do u think that will fix my problem what do u think? awesome video's btw i like yo drone collection (::
Hi, thank you for your video! May I use the battery of eachine 010 and/or JJRC H36 on this drone? I checked the link you gave for original Furibee batteries, but it is out of stock.
I just bought a JJRC H36. Its similar to this so maybe you can help My controller wont pair with drone, batterys are good I turn on remote, it flashes, pull the joystick up and nothing happens When i pull it down it beeps The drone doesnt fly,
Drone Camps RC 1. Buy the list you recommend 2. Buy Fat Shark HD3. Is that all ? Anything else to buy? Sotty but I'm a toy dron player !!! Thanks for your help in advance !!!
so you didnt c much difference? im get a set of racerstar 6mm from banggood which is rated at 59000rpm. but i also wanted to get a set something alittle slower like 54000-52000rpm. idk the equivalent to kv.
The stock motors are super fine. Better than the other "36" types, JJRC, Eachine, etc. Look at AIO cams in the < 4 gram class and you'll fly fine. Check all the videos on this model. You'll learn all you need to mod it for FPV through your house or outside on a calm day. Make a small hole in the top of the transmitter to thread the antenna through for improved distance . Easy mod.
Try removing then replacing the controller batteries ... And make sure the throttle is all the way down when you power on the controller. Worked for me.
No you will need something with 5.8Ghz module to receive the video. Like a 5.8ghz monitor or goggles. Drones that have Wifi are the ones with smartphone video. This one is using 5.8ghz video. - kindly, Justin.
Grab some wire cutters and go to town on these frames. There is way too much plastic that is not needed on these. Poke the ant. wire out the top of quad and out the top of the controller and the range is further than the little whoop cameras range.
you will need to get some expensive goggles for it. there are tutorials on how to add a dvr to these goggles. I recommend trying that if you really want that footage.

great video Justin! could you suggest another FPV camera? as the linked one is now discontinued. thanks!
Bit the bullet and just ordered the F36 and upgraded motors to start wooo. More upgrades soon. FPV FTW!
I bought 2 for $14 a piece at Gear Best. Small bullet to bite, lol. This'll beat out the Inductrix and compare the price.
OUTSTANDING review and great upgrading. SUPER.

Thanks for watching. Either one is totally good!
Another great vid man. Do you know what protocol the F36 is using? Thanks a million.
You can do flips on it press down on the right joystick and move to any side to do different types of flips
Camera is discontinued. What other camera would you recommend?
you have a nice work place and flying space 🎄 Happy new year 😎 !
Happy New Year! Welcome to the Channel!
Thanks for the review. I ordered one yesterday from GB as well as a 3 gram cam from MyRCMart. I was hoping that the standard motors are powerful enough to carry the FPV Cam. Have you seen any lift test results for the standard motors vs the upgraded motors.
John Moore the stock motors are powerful enough. it doesnt need an upgrade unless you want to fly even faster than it already is.
How did the upgraded motors compare to the stock ones? I agree the stock F36 has tons more punch than my inductrix fpv
Jeremy Caissie n
same question here...
They had more options punch out
Hello, for some reason the upgraded motors have less punch for me. But, maybe they can handle more weight?
Just received the F3 flight control board but no instructions. Found a wiring diagram in chinese which should help but just wondering if you have used this board yet? Any advice on wiring/soldering placement would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Stubee.
Great review Justin!! It's been a long time since I last used a soldering iron. I assume you use low heat to solder the wires onto the flight controller?
Yes low temp
Drone Camps RC Ok. Thanks much

Awesome Video!! Thanks for Sharing!! the Music is Hot Also! LOL this is a Wicked Little Quad! Have a Great Holiday and New year!!

if you are new then just guessing but u might not be able to solder new leds and you can get better batterys so 30c or 40c battery's

I have the JJRC H36 which is very similar to the F36, do you have any specific videos for the H36?
Great video👍 is there an alternate source other than Gear Best for the batteries?
Thanks...Dan
Need a suggestion on a cam the FuriBee F03 AIO Mini FPV Camera link is no longer in stock
cool informative review ! 👍😎
I was wondering the battery life/flight time after your FPV mod... Is it drastically different? And do you have recommendations for a battery upgrade.
I'd go with the 45C batteries in 150mAh...
I'd go with 260mah battery from Eachine, you'll only have to solder another connector, should give you about 2mins more flighttime
camera is discontinued. what other cams will work keep in mind weight
Ordered two of these for my kids for xmas (more like 2 for me since they will lose interest after day1) What batteries would you suggest for these? I'm not sure I'll get around to converting them to FPV for awhile but either way they need power! Thanks in advance @dronecampsrc!
Nvm. I didn't read through the description! lol. Thx!
I've just received this quad and installed a camera on it direct to the power port like every video on here and when i turn the quad on and try flying it, there is tons of lines in the screen and i can't fly it with fpv for that reason.. could you help out ??

Update. My charger accepts this plug and it's an eflite plug.
bought one für 10€ today to bridge the time until my fpv whoop is here - love that tiny thing :D
Would you recommend this for a 4 year old??

It won't hurt it at all. You're good to go! 30c will be better
Thanks so much for the help!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
Drone Camps RC
Drone Camps RC will more c just give it more power or more flighttime?
got a few of these bad boys coming in along with some extra batts ! Great vid man thanks.. THE WAITTTTTT1 LOL
Awesome! Happy whooping!

I just got one today and it does the same thing did you ever figure it out?
That us ground effect keep it higher off the ground and it'll work fine
any way to use a flysky fs-i6x TX with this setup? cool mods btw
What would cause furibee f36 flight board to not bind with the transmitter after attaching the camera and upgrading the motors?
is the upgrade motors better than the stock motor?
What setup is needed to record the FPV video? What's the cheapest way to get FPV and record the video?
Justin, in a race, how many of those can we have together? 4 channels, so that means only 4 f36 to have no interference?
4 to 5 from what I've seen. You could maybe do more
Is this a good buy in 2019? Anything that compares to this and connects to betaflight?
take a look at eachine e016h it has better stability , carefull with the range i lost mine ...

Sell all that mess and get this Furibee 36 with an AIO FPV cam. That's the only thing that'll make your post fit here.
Does it have enough power to have a different battery for the camera
Hi, thank you for your video! May I use the battery of eachine 010 and/or JJRC H36 on this drone?
I checked the link you gave for original Furibee batteries, but it is out of stock.
Jabon Eros yep
Is threading the tx antenna thru a hole in the top of controller a plus mod? seen it done in other vids.
Hi there, I upgraded the motors. The original motors have more punch. Why is that?
Tyler Daniels maybe you got the standard motors instead of the 52000rpm
How long did the upgrades take to get to the US?
Justin, what is the better buy the Vusion 250 beginner or the shuriken 180 pro , thanks Scarry
Larry if you want more room to grow. The Shuriken 180 Pro.
Ok,thanks Brother, what head set would you get,to start out with, that would work well with it,thanks again
I have learned a lot from you bro, good stuff
I just bought a JJRC H36. Its similar to this so maybe you can help
My controller wont pair with drone, batterys are good
I turn on remote, it flashes, pull the joystick up and nothing happens
When i pull it down it beeps
The drone doesnt fly,
Got the same first plug the battery in then turn the controller on and move the stick up and down.
***** yh ive been trying but nothing
iJamie8467x the reciever board may be busted.
iJamie8467x h36 is not the same as the f36. the f36 is wayyyy better👍
is that hot glue on your camera antenna? Is that for protection? Does that hamper your signal ?
Yep hot glue. It's an old one I used for the video. Don't do that on yours. Not needed.
where did you get the instrumental Version of this Song from? (Im from Germany by the way)
it's possible to bind it to taranis x9d plus se?
How Can I Save Videos From This Drone FPV Cam?
you need expensive goggles or you can mod your goggles to add a dvr. there are tutorials on it on youtube so just look around
Had me Rolling @ 4:55 !
May I use FatShark HD3 goggle for this cheap fpv guad? If ok I'll buy one.
Yep !
Drone Camps RC 1. Buy the list you recommend
2. Buy Fat Shark HD3.
Is that all ? Anything else to buy?
Sotty but I'm a toy dron player !!!
Thanks for your help in advance !!!
You should be good with that list! Get about 5-6 batteries to start with also
Ha ha ... I'm a toy drone mania!!!
I have many batteries as below.
3.7v 300~400mAh x 15 batts.
Thanks for your professional advice !!!
are the upgrade motors from gearbest better than stock mate?
I've heard mixed reviews. Mine seemed ok.
so you didnt c much difference? im get a set of racerstar 6mm from banggood which is rated at 59000rpm. but i also wanted to get a set something alittle slower like 54000-52000rpm. idk the equivalent to kv.
why did you upgrade the motors? If I'm not gonna use camera then should I upgrade motors? Is it need it without camera?
I want to increase Flying time so is there any upgrade battery which can replace with old one?
Yeah, u just need a battery with more than 150 mAh, just pay attention for the size of the battery.
if you don't want the camera, the stock motors work amazing. They will give you more power than you will ever need.
The motors work fine WITH a light weight FPV cam.
are the motors in the link 52000rpm? websites says only 5200
How many kv are the motors?
what a seri chip or IC ?>
DO I need 4 or 2 Motors ???
does this have the same battery connector as the jjrc h36? I'm asking because the batteries are back ordered for the f36
Yes
Ty bro. New to all this
Yw!
Kotipelto esx
Noob question: Whats up with the plastic stuff on the antenna of the camera?
Mark noob answer: I don't know.....
What charger are you using to charge your 1s battery's?
Probably a standard LiPo charger with adapters.
when changing the motors, do I need to replace all the motors?
No just the bad one
thanks!!
👍🏻
Hi. I save money for the lil quadcoptor for 1month now the upgrade cost much than that :( sad
Hey what’d you buy? I like seeing what I can get for the least amount of money
Any clue why my F36 is just slow-blinking and refuses to bind?
Did you try pushing the throttle stock all the way up. And then back down to the bottom.
sadly yes...I'm guessing its toast...spare parts at the very least
Try removing then replacing the controller batteries ... And make sure the throttle is all the way down when you power on the controller. Worked for me.
Can you connect to the camera with a phone?
No you will need something with 5.8Ghz module to receive the video. Like a 5.8ghz monitor or goggles.
Drones that have Wifi are the ones with smartphone video. This one is using 5.8ghz video. - kindly, Justin.
Drone Camps RC thanks
watch my flyes with this quad I do something like acro without preprogramed butons and without acro PCB only stock furibee :D
Whats the range of the controller?
a bit further (double?) if you put the Tx antenna vertical out of the case.
great mods
No need to upgrade motors on the F36, it fly's crazy out of the box. A perfect living room racer, LoS or FPV
Always room for an upgrade! ;)
Nice but flying time? Les then 3 min...
Grab some wire cutters and go to town on these frames. There is way too much plastic that is not needed on these. Poke the ant. wire out the top of quad and out the top of the controller and the range is further than the little whoop cameras range.
Hey know of any cheap quads like this that will connect to betaflight?
I saw this product in gear best (a site ) I gone buy this
How Can I Save Videos From This Drone FPV Cam?
you will need to get some expensive goggles for it. there are tutorials on how to add a dvr to these goggles. I recommend trying that if you really want that footage.
great mods
