There is a negative solder pad right next to the positive solder pad. You can use that for the battery terminal. You can also scratch away some of the solder mask on the positive trace next to the negative solder pad on the right to create another solder pad. Then use one set for your battery lead and the other for the camera.
I just bought 2 of the furibee f36 quads, Eachine EV800 googles and the new boldclash f-01 super mini cams. Hope I can get it all to work when the stuff arrives.
I have this and the Beecore from Banggood. Couple of things: 1. Unlike how it is advertised, the Furibee is NOT serial - it's PPM. The Beecore IS SBUS. You can definitely tell in Betaflight ... but flying ... not so much, honestly. They both work really well. The Furibee will freak out if you get it too close to your Tx (but if you can lower out Tx's output ... you can do that and it helps). If you're running a Devo Tx you'll have to fine tune the frequency in order to bind (i use a 4-in-1 and used -41ish). Finally, the Furibee has a bind button for the Tx, which is nice, but it also gets in the way of some (most?) camera mounts and the solder pads for the battery are way easier on the beecore (the final product has those strange separated battery terminals that wrap around the USB). All little nits. I'd recommend either product and the Furibee is cheeeeappppeeer and fits the E010 frame *way* better - the Beecore is SBUS
Hello, I enjoyed your UPGRADE ALERT video, I am new to the drone hobby/sport and I have a question regarding binding my FrSky Taranis Q X7 transmitter to my Furibee F3 flight controller board. In your video you said you connected yours Taranis using PPM, the only I can get to PPM is to turn off the Internal RF Mode and set the External RF Mode to PPM, form there I am lost, I have held down the bind button while plugging in the battery to no avail. Would you provide me with a step by step process for binding my transmitter to the flight controller? Thanks Melvin Running Bear
I'm trying so hard to get my x9d binded. I was at a meetup today and someone told me it couldn't be done. Can you make a vid for the binding procedure?
Can you give some details on the binding procedure and settings used to bind with your Taranis? I'm having problems and cannot seem to get it bind, but I'm not sure where I am going wrong.
I ordered that new board, plug and play motors, two frames, three sets of props and a camera mount for $25 from gearbest. Can't wait to add a second whoop. Thanks for the killer vid! If the hobby shop does not have the newer one cell connector where would you recommend looking? I have a bunch of the hubsan style but want to use the regular inductrix batteries. Thank you for the details!
I know this is an older video. I am a total newbie into the drone arena. I hear that brushed motors fail quickly and I like the ability to simply plug in new motors to the controller board versus having to solder. My hands are not all that steady to solder frequently. So my question is can I use the original F36 controller with this board? I see three different options and have no idea what they mean and if any are compatible with the original F36 controller. Thanks in advance.
This may be an obvious question. But what mode of Beta flight are you using with this Furibee F3 FC? I may not even be wording the question correctly. When you go to the Betaflight page and there is a huge list of different "titles" of different Betaflight programs for different FC, which one works with the Furibee F3? Thank you, from a frustrated newbie.
Thanks for this great video. Just getting into FPV. Tiny Whoop seems really fun. Any recommendations on a good radio to get that will work with the Furibee F3 Flight Controller?
David B : Cool, that is what I will try. I've already ordered all the parts to build a custom F36 and a couple standard F36s to just add the FPV camera to.
good morning! I ordered the board you are showing here, but the cleanflight I downloaded says that the board needs to be upgraded so I am trying to flash it. But I cannot find the board in the selection list. Can you help me with the proper selection? and you can guess I am a virgin at all this. This is my first attempt. I believe it will be furyf3 in the selection. thanks chuck
Just a heads up on those batteries you have in the description. They are "back ordered" but when I ordered them PRIOR to them being back ordered I got a email from gearbest stating that they are "discontinued". So now I have 2 of these little guys coming in the mail any day now with 0 batteries. Awesome stuff @gearbest! =(
What was your original response about the conversion? I saw it in the car when I was driving but I can't find it now haha. I have seen tons of people selling some nice 1s batteries on RCGroups.com but I didn't know if they would work for the furi-bee's connectors. Where can I find those conversions plugs? As always thanks for responding to me! I'm still horridly newb at all of this and basically following your video's as a bible on what to-s and what not to-s!
I was going to say you could convert the connector to a micro JST ( the mini white ones ), or convert to the micro 1S HUBSAN connector. Look up 1S HUBSAN connector on Amazon. You can also find more types of 1S connectors on Amazon that you can solder on. + and - pads. Pretty easy to do with a $20 soldering iron.
Great video Justin!! Not to be ridiculous but when you solder the wires on low heat, about how many watts is that? It's been a long time since I did any soldering & want to make sure I don't mess anything up
hi i just got my first furibee. i have a spectrum dx6e controller. could you do a tutorial on how to hook up the external spectrum reciever and how to program it please! This stock little controller is not the best in the world. please help.
Hi i have a question. i bougth this furibee. great little quad. i have a DX6E SPECTRUM radio what reciever would you recomend to use with this controll board? since when i bpught my radio it did not come with a reciever. Thanks from Ken
Did you ever figure out what was causing AUX 5 to freak out? I'm new to this stuff and I'm having the same thing with my taranis qx 7 and can't figure out what it is.
I am so confused about the provided pigtail...does it work with the stock furibee battery?...the connection on the pigtail makes no sense to me lol...I must be missing something because I cannot get the battery to plug in
Hey buddy, awesome vids. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Could you please help me out with some info? I'm a complete noob at this but this little machine looks like the best way to start out. I'm in Australia which means issues trying to get batteries, the best thing (and only so far) that I've been able to find locally are these - EACHINE E010 5in1 45c 150mAh Battery Charger RC Quadcopter JJRC H36 Tiny Whoop. From what I've been reading it seems these are a viable upgrade or am I on the wrong path? Your advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers.
These are definitely a viable upgrade because it opens up Cleanflight on the quad. Other boards out there that are similar cost from $30 to $75. USD. This one is about $23 at the moment. Did you buy a full size radio yet?
Drone Camps RC - Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Not as of yet, I've just ordered the F36 and it probably hasn't even left the warehouse yet. Being new to all this I'm more than happy to take any suggestions/advice you've got. My first priority at this point is batteries so I can minimize down time while charging sorry, a little off vid topic perhaps). Seems I'm a bit limited in options being in Australia but I've found these and they seem to be a viable option - "EACHINE E010 5in1 45c 150mAh Battery Charger RC Quadcopter JJRC H36 Tiny Whoop". Am I on the right track?
Hi, i just received my furibee f36 today. After few flights, one of the motors did not stop spinning. I have to pull out the battery to make it stop. Is the problem comes from the motherboard itself or the motor? Thnks.
I've just received this quad and installed a camera on it direct to the power port like every video on here and when i turn the quad on and try flying it, there is tons of lines in the screen and i can't fly it with fpv for that reason.. could you help out ??
I had the broad working with Cleanflight when I built the quad . I when back to tune and make adjustments after flying it for a while . Now I can not get CP 2104 USB to UART Bridge Controller in my zadig . I change cables and flip through Target drivers and CP 2104 USB to UART Bridge Controller is NOT listed in devices. Do I need to re flash using spracingf3 . Should I re install CP210X and STM USB VCP?
How do you open the .hex files that Beta flight is in? Is there some cheap and easy way to do that? I'm trying, but I can't find the secret to open a .hex file.
Hello, I am newer to the drone world and only have toy grade quads. I didn't realize that the controller that comes with the furibee f36 (the one I own) will not work with this upgrade. It looks like I will need to buy a new controller. I see there are many options (SBUS, DSM satellite, PPM receivers etc..) is there a simple controller that you would suggest for this upgrade for me?
oo walker it is very simple. Put i6 into bindmode. "Rx binding" Then push the bind button. Important that u keep the button pushed down. Connect battery. Keep holding bindbutton, stay like thar for 15 sec. Press cancel on your i6. To leave "rx binding" Unplug battery to quad and release bindbutton. Power off i6. Plug in the battery to your quad and start your i6. When u switch on armlever on i6 it will shine a solid green light. Off u go! :)
PauL TerLI've put an Eachine TX03 on me F36. (last two vidz on my channel). All appair ok. But today starting to fly it I had a bad result. When I give power to go up the image start to go striped, and then disappear! Just 'snow'. It fly well, images are okay at zero throttle. Can someone please help? THANX!
whats up josh i have a quick question i cant find the answer to. I recently purchased a Furibee F3 FC and i was able to flash it with SPRACINGEVO it tells me flashing complete but when i click on connect i get this messege 2017-04-22 @ 13:56:48 -- Serial port successfully closed 2017-04-22 @ 13:56:58 -- Serial port successfully opened with ID: 3 2017-04-22 @ 13:57:08 -- No configuration received within 10 seconds, communication failed i have a mac and installed all the drivers and cant figure out how to get it to work please help
I can not get this board to communicate with betaflight or cleanflight. It us showing up in zadig and i have changed it to every driver available but can not get it to connect. Ive also bridged the boot tabs with no luck either. Any help is appreciated.
Tony Peart I did fix the problem and it has to do with the target you flash. They have listed the wrong target and off the top of my head I can't remember which target I flashed to get it working right. I'll update you when I get home from work
Ok so this board uses the spracingf3 target, not the spracingf3 evo. Also make sure you have the correct drivers (CP210x_Windows_Drivers) installed. If it still won't connect then use Zadig to cycle through to the driver that works. Hope that helps and I'm still using cleanflight as it flies good with stock settings so I didnt see the need to flash to betaflight. Its just a whoop anyways lol
I just got my Furibee F36 and got the upgraded motors and FC you mentioned. When I got everything set up and put on the camera, I need to fly on basically full throttle at all times or it'll just fall to the ground. Any suggestions on how to improve this? I'm all out of ideas with what the problem could be.
This is slightly off topic, but I just got one of these and I'm not sure what happened but it wants to instantly flip as soon as throttle is applied. I tried trimming it but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there a way to reset the controller? I pull batteries out of both, but it had no effect.
Have you tried calibrating the F36? On the original flight board, after binding, make sure your whoop is on a level surface and pull both sticks down and to the left .. the lights underneath should flash for a moment. I do this everytime i start a session of flying with it
I dont see my FuriBee F3 board as a selection in Zadig even when I "list my devices" but i do see he solid blue light when I plug it in. Wish you had a setup video for that Board. Can you please help? Im a newbie :(
J Doe I don't know what you mean with 2.0 or 3.0.. Zadig should sow you (CP 2104 USB to UART Bridge Controller) when you connect the board ... Try restarting computer and start over again
Hi! I bought a Flysky fs-i6 with this flight card, but I could not bind them together, any tips? I put the i6 in AFHDS, stopped it, then started the quad holding the bind button, the blue light quickly blinking. Then I power on the transmitter holding the bind key, the blue light on the card stop blinking, but there is still a message RXBinding on the transmitter, and nothing else.
Yo Yo put the controller into bind mode. hold down the fight controller bind button while plugging in the battery. May have to try a few times but should work. happy flying
Thank you for the quick reply! I tried several time like this, but nothing :( Maybe I have to update the fs-i6, firmware is from 2015, but I have to create a usb cable for this. Thanks again.
Dude great video! Do you know the difference of the 3 versions offered in gearbest? www.gearbest.com/multi-rotor-parts/pp_590130.html From what I understand FRSKY is the best one?

Yep and ppm is totally fine with me. I have it on a lot of my quads
Hi,what board in c/f did you flash ? got mine to flash with naze but cant connect now ?any help old dog needs new tricks !!!
Kevin Hill SPRACINGF3 - no biggie not surprised it's not happy when using NAZE - you should probably check "full chip erase" when you reflash.

Hi
Do you plan to make a new video with that kind of whoops. I would like to build one
the motor upgrade posted says 5200 rpm. the stock Furibee motor says 6000 rpm
great video. can you show how to ad and bind it to a Spectrum dx6e the current controller i have.

Waltr R. you can buy connectors for just about any battery and swap it for the stock one.
Awesome review!

Great video mate!!!
Hey Justin, quick question. Will the new flight controller bind up to the original transmitter that comes with the JJRC? Thanks

Is this board compatible with Taranis Q x7? Does it have integrated FrSky D8 mode receiver? Do I need to install a separate FrSky receiver on it?
You can get it with an FRSKY, FLYSKY, or DSM2 receiver. You pick the type you want.
Great video Justin!! Not to be ridiculous but when you solder the wires on low heat, about how many watts is that? It's been a long time since I did any soldering & want to make sure I don't mess anything up
For low temp around 500 degrees.
Drone Camps RC Ok. Thanks much & Happy New Year to you & your family 🎉🎉
500? lol
500 seems a bit hot. I generally go with 350 ....
hi i just got my first furibee. i have a spectrum dx6e controller. could you do a tutorial on how to hook up the external spectrum reciever and how to program it please! This stock little controller is not the best in the world. please help.

When you speak of an external RX, can you verify that a R6D Radiolink RX will be compatible with this FC board?
It is a super duper whooper!!!!!
Did you ever figure out what was causing AUX 5 to freak out? I'm new to this stuff and I'm having the same thing with my taranis qx 7 and can't figure out what it is.
Looks like this board would fit the EO10 as well?
I am so confused about the provided pigtail...does it work with the stock furibee battery?...the connection on the pigtail makes no sense to me lol...I must be missing something because I cannot get the battery to plug in
awesome job !

Can it bind to a turnigy 9x
Hi, i just received my furibee f36 today. After few flights, one of the motors did not stop spinning. I have to pull out the battery to make it stop. Is the problem comes from the motherboard itself or the motor? Thnks.

I'm thinking your aux5 ch9 is set up for rssi.

How do you open the .hex files that Beta flight is in? Is there some cheap and easy way to do that?
I'm trying, but I can't find the secret to open a .hex file.
Do they make a flight controller board like this that is compatible with a FlySky FSi6 TX?
I have a flysky TH9X with FrSky DJT module..which F3 flight controller should I get?
The one with Frsky receiver?
Will the flysky build in receiver work with the turnigy evolution?
Hello, I am newer to the drone world and only have toy grade quads. I didn't realize that the controller that comes with the furibee f36 (the one I own) will not work with this upgrade. It looks like I will need to buy a new controller. I see there are many options (SBUS, DSM satellite, PPM receivers etc..) is there a simple controller that you would suggest for this upgrade for me?
Cyler RC they say you get a lot of bang for the buck with the flysky i6 trx. Remember to buy f3 fc with flysky protocol.
thank you!
Do you how to bind flysky i6 to furibee ? I try but it's not working
oo walker it is very simple.
Put i6 into bindmode. "Rx binding"
Then push the bind button. Important that u keep the button pushed down.
Connect battery. Keep holding bindbutton, stay like thar for 15 sec. Press cancel on your i6. To leave "rx binding"
Unplug battery to quad and release bindbutton.
Power off i6. Plug in the battery to your quad and start your i6.
When u switch on armlever on i6 it will shine a solid green light. Off u go! :)
Cyler RC. the standard white F36 controller is according to Gearbest compatible with the F3 32bit controller.
Will the radio transmitter from the F36 still work to fly it or do I need to buy a frsky radio?
PauL TerLI've put an Eachine TX03 on me F36. (last two vidz on my channel). All appair ok. But today starting to fly it I had a bad result. When I give power to go up the image start to go striped, and then disappear! Just 'snow'. It fly well, images are okay at zero throttle. Can someone please help? THANX!
Could you fix the AUX5 issue?
Does this new flight controller work with the remote it comes with?
Is the flight controller compatible with the original transmitter the F36 comes with?
whats up josh i have a quick question i cant find the answer to. I recently purchased a Furibee F3 FC and i was able to flash it with SPRACINGEVO it tells me flashing complete but when i click on connect i get this messege
2017-04-22 @ 13:56:48 -- Serial port successfully closed
2017-04-22 @ 13:56:58 -- Serial port successfully opened with ID: 3
2017-04-22 @ 13:57:08 -- No configuration received within 10 seconds, communication failed
i have a mac and installed all the drivers and cant figure out how to get it to work please help
VELCROFPV I did the same thing, you need to use the none evo version. Bridge the boot pads and reflash. I hope it helps. :)
I can not get this board to communicate with betaflight or cleanflight. It us showing up in zadig and i have changed it to every driver available but can not get it to connect. Ive also bridged the boot tabs with no luck either. Any help is appreciated.
Chad Hurd hi. Did you fix this problem? Mines the same and won't connect
Tony Peart I did fix the problem and it has to do with the target you flash. They have listed the wrong target and off the top of my head I can't remember which target I flashed to get it working right. I'll update you when I get home from work
Chad Hurd thanks Chad appreciate any help getting this board connecting
Ok so this board uses the spracingf3 target, not the spracingf3 evo. Also make sure you have the correct drivers (CP210x_Windows_Drivers) installed. If it still won't connect then use Zadig to cycle through to the driver that works. Hope that helps and I'm still using cleanflight as it flies good with stock settings so I didnt see the need to flash to betaflight. Its just a whoop anyways lol
Hi how did you boot this fc to get to flash it? I cant get it to boot with a bridge in boot pads
Can i use a racestar 6700rpm 6x150 motor on my furibee f36 out of the box? Thanks
so what would be better to get. This, or the inductrix? I really want to get into drone racing and would love to practice with one inside.
Start with this. Way Cheaper and actually better motors
sweet! thanks man I appreciate it. I look forward to enjoying this hobby.
You might need to upgrade the connector to the larger style connector. See www.tinywhoop.com
Yep, that did it. Thanks for the help!
Use the stock motors! Mine will lift two cameras!
Will this set up work with a 2.4GHz FlySky i6 5.8GHz Transmitter
It will work with original controller?
What charger are you using to charge your 1s battery's?
What does it do and why is it an upgrade?
This is slightly off topic, but I just got one of these and I'm not sure what happened but it wants to instantly flip as soon as throttle is applied. I tried trimming it but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there a way to reset the controller? I pull batteries out of both, but it had no effect.
Have you tried calibrating the F36? On the original flight board, after binding, make sure your whoop is on a level surface and pull both sticks down and to the left .. the lights underneath should flash for a moment. I do this everytime i start a session of flying with it
R.Rutherford that fixed it! Thanks!
Awesome Govenator45! Glad i could help .. i am a COMPLETE newbie .. so i am with you on the trials and tribulations!
Just asking does this fc board can bind to frsky q x7 ? I'm new with this.
Will i need a new controller
you have activated the vbat?
I dont see my FuriBee F3 board as a selection in Zadig even when I "list my devices" but i do see he solid blue light when I plug it in. Wish you had a setup video for that Board. Can you please help? Im a newbie :(
Did u tried width a different USB cable?
I tried another one I had. I assumed the only difference was 2.0 or 3.0, what are the standard widths i can choose from?
J Doe I don't know what you mean with 2.0 or 3.0.. Zadig should sow you (CP 2104 USB to UART Bridge Controller) when you connect the board ... Try restarting computer and start over again
this board can receive 8520 motors?
Hi, does this board work with the fly sky fsi6?

Can i view the vid on my phone
will it bind to a flysky I6?
he said frsky so no unless they make a flysky version
Is this flight controller compatible with a turnigy 9x? Thanks
i got the flysky version but i cant bind it with my turnigy evolution... huh???
yeah i figured that out finally... glad i still had a flysky-I6 laying around
I tried several time like this, but nothing :(
Maybe I have to update the fs-i6, firmware is from 2015, but I have to create a usb cable for this.
Thanks again.
Got it to work! I just learned how to bind and how to set an switch to rearm the motors xD
Thanks a lot for the bind process!
does this board also work on eachine e010 ?
Yep
thanks!
How did the flight characteristics compare to the stock board? Did you notice much diff?
Less twitchy. And more locked in.
Dude great video! Do you know the difference of the 3 versions offered in gearbest?

From what I understand FRSKY is the best one?
Frsky is good if you have that radio ;)
wait, is this a different controller than the one that comes with F36?
Dude! Doesn't the F36 original controller support FRSKY?
Does this support betaflight?
No I was saying in the video I thought it did. But playing with it I couldn't flash it myself. Cleanflight will have to do for the price.
Drone Camps RC ok thanks i missed that part
No worries man!
Drone Camps RC 👍🏼👍🏼😄
I got mine working with Betaflight. Just shorted the bootloader pins and flashed it. No problems here yet!
upgrade
It is a super duper whooper!!!!!
