Just put this sucker together, and it flies great! Using the stick batteries from the previous build until the 260mah ones come in.
Albert, Thank you for this great video.
I have done the same quad as you described but the motors from the eachine EO10 and I'm waiting for the camera yet. Anyway this machine is probably the stablest I have piloted in my life. It's incredible. I pilot if from a Wakera with deviation software. I guess this is THE machine to make people learn and love quadcopters. I don't know neither the original tiny whoop not the original Eachine EO10 but I have now a collection of more than 30 quads and this is a great step in the good way
I modded my props to, two bladed props. notised that I can fly longer and the quad flies better. Now i am thinking of replacing the frame to an alu frame. It is lighter than the eachine frame but a gram heavier than the inductrix frame.
Great video I just got all my parts today, gonna build it this weekend. Great video to follow. I got the same bord.
In looking at the many other TinyWhoop builds, this configuration seems to be one of the best I've seen, nice build. Fast and Insane motors should be in soon. I have the Flysky version of the BeeCore and also ordered a mullet cover to make it more crash proof. Every 1/10th of a gram matters on these micro-quads. Ordered those JJRC 260mah batteries too. I need a LOT more FPV practice and my 5" QAV-X style racer quad is way too fast for me to learn on. These little guys will be much cheaper to crash!
cybervid07 have you had any problems binding the beecore to your flysky radio? not getting any lag/latency with controls?
or is it working fine ? what flysky remote do you use man haha sorry for all the questions. i have an flysky i6 and just trying to find info on the beecore flysky bersion and no one can seem to get it to work properly
Sadly my Beecore F3 Flysky version was bad from the factory after way too many attempts. BG is sending me another one. My Flysky radio is a FS-i6 which works fine with other Flysky Rxs. When I get the replacement I'll try and let you know, but with BG that could be many weeks. I did get a Beecore F3 Spektrum/DSM version it it bound with no problems to my DX6i, and also to my cheap Spektrum MLP6DSM radio.
Damn thats no good.. yep no one seems to be able to get it working with flysky. Ahh that sucks !
Glad to hear it's good! Ordered mine back in november, the china boat needs to hit the gas pedal :p
QuadBro FPV took me 5 weeks to get mine
Waiting for this yeah !
Works great! Best it has flown
Hello!
Very good video.
Congratulations and thank you for your work.
How do you connect the station with the Frsky receiver on the board?
regards
See the manual. Instructions on how to bind are in there.
greta video, if you connect motors in the wrong position, you could fry the fc?
+INMERSO probably not.
Great video. Also can smart audio be used on the board? Thanks
Question: Where did you find the reference about "motor pwm separated from pid" and that what looks like astonishingly high frequency?
+Wholly Mindless somewhere on RCgroups. The high number is for brushed motors
Thanks!
What are the KVO Pads on the bottom of this board for? I assume G (next to antennae) is ground. I want to rig a buzzer.
Probably a stupid question, but could you use this board with 8.5x20mm motors for a micro build? Does it have any range issues? Thx Dod.
I'm not sure what the FETs are rated to but it's entirely possible. I don't know the range and I would not go any further than the distance I flew at the park in this video. I think that's far enough. :)
Great vid ! Thank You.
How to monitoring battery?
Hey Albert,
Why do you check: motor pwm speed seperate from PID speed? And Why 16000?
Because its brushed motors and not brushless. I just usually put in 16000 most of the time and it works. Values between 1000 to 32000 are valid for brushed motors.
Can we change the motor direction on this board??? If so how to do it??? Thanks Albert, all the best
You can't change motor direction on brushed boards. Also running brushed motors in a reverse direction than it was built for damages the motor.
Thanks man, I knew something was wrong with reversed direction on a Whoop... I saw it on a High V3locity vid and thought it would work on my BeeCore but didi´nt went through with it, had to ask my "GO_TO_GUY" first, eh eh...
great video man. I had actually just purchased that same board and the rtf eo10...like 10 minutes before i watched this video. Do you know if the motors that come with the e010 will plug right into the beecore?
The motors in the E010 are soldered on the board it comes with. It doesn't come with plugs. Also, those E010 motors are very weak. I would get the upgraded Spintechs.
ahh crap. Ok thanks. I will just order the ones you listed.
Hi Albert, great video! I used it as a reference for my build. And I can call it a success! :-) My question is, if it is possible to setup LEDs to blink, when the battery is going low. Thanks!
I think it does change when the voltage drops below the threshold.. Maybe goes from green to red? I've never checked that... perhaps you could take a look if the LED changes based on the voltage.
Thanks for so quick answer! :-) No, it does not change. As I flashed the BetaFlight 3.1 onto it, I lost the LED strip settings. All LEDs remains the same oll the time. As the battery gets low, it slowly drops from the sky. It would be nice to find somebody with the unmodified CleanFlight and extract the LED settings from there. And yes, I should save the CF settings. Noobs mistake here... :-)
Hi Albert, did you end up changing the PID's for the Beecore E010 after flying it? I'm just now setting up a Beecore F3 DSM E010 and copying your Betaflight settings here and hope to fly it today.
I haven't changed the PIDs. I did increase the rates on roll and decreased it on yaw to agree with my flying style and feel. You should adjust yours to the way you like it as most people don't like the rates I use (too fast or too slow)
Thanks Albert. Been using thos PID's flying it today after building it and did play with the rates. Up at 2 the roll and pitch were way too fast for me. Backed it down to 1.5 on yaw and 1 on P&R. Thanks for all your help!
Is it possible to add a buzzer to this board? Or any way to get a camera for this with an OSD? Thanks!
Sorry, I don't think so.
Be nice to find a video of the BeecoreF3 Flysky version, since I am unable to bind mine to my FS-I6 radio in AFHDS mode per the manual instructions. My Super Whoop is built, just can't bind it. Most Beecore vids out there are FrSky and those seem to work, lucky dogs.
My QX70 is the Flysky version and it's very difficult to bind. My advice is to bridge the solder pads or have someone help you. Also make sure the radio is in bind mode FIRST, then power on the board with the bind pads bridged. You can power on with USB or battery. I used USB. It took me 20-30 attempts before it finally worked. A real PITA!
I did solder the bind pads, and bind the FS-I6 after, and also the other
way too, many times. I even got the green LED to do somewhat the right
thing per the poor manual, but it still is not bound. I guess I haven't
done it 20 or 30 times yet, so I better get busy ;) I have a QX70 Flysky
version arriving any day too, so I guess I have that to look forward to
;( I want to make FLysky work because I have a Turnigy Evo on the way
too based on reviews.
I thought I read/saw/heard there was a way to go into bind mode in Betaflight 3.0.1 via the CLI?
By the way the Turnigy Evo won't work with those receivers. Evo only works with 2A compatible receivers. Those receivers are 1A only. On your i6 I would double check that your output mode is correct. I believe it has to be PPM.
Good to know on the TurniEvo. I'll probably just use it with my Wizard X220 on S-BUS. Thanks for mentioning the mode, I was running on S-BUS for the Wizard model on the FS-I6, and need to make sure the TinyWhp model I made is on PPM. It is on AFHDS.
hello ive followed this step by step several times over however i just cant seem to get my frsky beecore to bind with my taranis
It's very tricky. First make sure the Taranis is in D8 mode and it is in bind mode. When you connect power to the board, the two bind pads have to be shorted. I think I had to do mine many times to finally get it done. The bind pads are covered in a little solder so you might have to scrape a little of the layer of flux off the top to make good contact.
Well thats awkward didnt even know there was bind pads haha where abouts are they top of board or bottom of board ?
Here's a link to the manual... goo.gl/ZOmNzF
There is a photo on the first page.
Thank you used a stanley knife on the bind pads fixed straight away , flew it all of 10metres and crash
I'm new to the hooby and I was wondering if there are there any good guides that give an in-depth analysis of all the settings in cleanfight & betaflight? OP went over the variables really quick without analysis, which is cool because he obviously didnt make the video for noobies but I'm totally at a loss at the configuration.
For someone who is new to the hobby I would not recommend this build. Too much that can go wrong. Instead, I highly recommend getting the Inductrix FPV instead - goo.gl/FNUfdB. No need to learn Betaflight and it's just as much fun.
Does it have failsafe? I just ordered two last Saturday .😊 I wish I would have known about the battery/battery connector before ordering though. Oh well stick packs it is.
Yes, I think it has failsafe. Most FrSky receivers will have this.
I got flysky, so it could be different.
I wanted to use the same camera you used but it was out of stock. So I ended up going with the x 73 camera.
I can't figure out how to get my Beecore to bind to my flysky TX. Would you be able to explain the procedure to me? Thanks a ton
Still Don't have mine yet. Usps says it should be delivered on Friday. So fingers crossed
Dear Albert. What is wrong if I get message after flash Firmware: No response from the bootloader, programming:FAILED ?Thank you for your opinion
You have a USB driver conflict. Try Zadig to fix the driver.
does it exist for osx? thank you
Finally got the board but I had a problem :(...
Can I use a battery with a 2.0 connector with this board? I just tried to with the Strix stix 220mAh 1s batteries and some smoke came out and the board's leds do not turn on but gets warm. I used a multimeter to check continuity and do not have any problems there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Smoke is not a good sign. I usually say the board is fried or at least unreliable. If it gets warm perhaps the voltage regulator is broken. There could be a lot of things wrong here. Even if I had the board in my hands and could test it, I'm not sure I could find the problem. I recommend just getting a new one.
thanks for the tip. I will see if banggood will replace it. Could the battery connector have been the problem? The one it came with is different. Thanks again!
Как настроить E010S ( FrSky),c аппаратурой Turnigy 9XR (FrSky) ?
I cannot re-flash my beeCore on my windows pc. I have the suggested drivers from betaflight but when I try it says no Serial port but it connects in configuration. Any help would be great! The same happens on CleanFlight but their Firmware is not the latest.
Hmmm, usually if it says no serial port you can't connect at all. It let's you connect but you can't configure it? That's really weird!
I finally got it to Flash. Seems my pc lost the Zadig driver! UGhhhh. Now my DX8 Gen2 is being a Real well.... To get all 3 Air Modes to work!
Do you know how to put the receiver into "no pulse" mode so failsafe works correctly?
are those good PIDs
So far so good. Working well for me.
i tried them and i can't get my rates high enough to do flips and stuff
You mentioned possibly changing your PID values, did you? Or do you think the ones from Cleanflight are fine?
The one's I used in the video are the same. I haven't changed it yet. I might play with it again later but I've got a bunch of other reviews I need to work on first.
I had some luck with the Beebrain PIDS, thanks for the reply
I have a question about this Beecore F3 controller. I can get it working with Betaflight, no problem. But sometimes when I go back to Betaflight with the same board, Betaflight won't recogize it. I have to go through the Bootloader driver sequence and then re-configure it with Betaflight again. And of course all the settings on BetaF were lost.
Is there something to do to keep this from happening, or is it just a characteristic of these less expensive brushed FCs?
THanks
Did you have to short out the boot pins to flash betaflight?
I did't have to.
can't get mine to flash... it disconnects the USB but nothing happens after that. no progress bar.
also my versions of spracingf3evo seem all different
Would I be able to use the stock Blade Inductrix controller or the Spektrum DX6i with this setup?
IF you get the DSM version of the board. I am using the FrSky version and that one is not compatible.
Gotcha
Hey Albert, Is it possible to use the flysky micro Rx with the Beecore?
I haven't been able to find the connection points to the UART that is needed on the BeeCore.
There is a Flysky option for Beecore is the old protocol AFHDS and not AFHDS 2A (so no Turnigy Evolution), however it flies pretty well with it.
Their new update has 2A on it. Bought it on Banggood to bind with my Turnigy, pretty excited!
can you do a review of this fc: FlyColor Raptor 390 Tower
OK, you're the first to ask about that one. If I get more interest I'll consider buying it.
this looks like a great product, i forget who used it but i vaguely recall it needed an external bec for cam or osd interference.... hopefully somebody sends you the raptor 390 tower so we can get an idea of value and ease of build etc.
I have one but before i put it together i wanted so good advice.
I have it and have a video on it but haven't put it in a build yet... Haven't had the time lately :/
You've been reviewing a lot lately! :)
I can bind the Flysky version to my FS-i6 right?
witch FC is best for whoop and why thank you ;)
Albert need you help . ..which one I should go eachine beecore f3 or furibee f3 ?
+Fadrick Jim they're both good... Depends on where you want the USB port
On performance which one is better
+Fadrick Jim about the same or I can't tell the difference
Ok thank by the way
can i add a FS-A8S receiver to this?
+VELCROFPV not this one. Try the FuribeeF3
ok thanks
For the beecore v2 is it the same spracingf3evo as I can’t find anything on the internet on what to flash? I have the flysky version and I was trying to use betaflightf3 which I thought was right but as I can’t get it to work I’m not sure.
What do you think about using, 150mah 45c batteries, thekingkong q25 camera+vtx and chaoli upgraded motors instead? Along with the Beecore. Thanks!
Don't know anything about those batteries. C ratings mean nothing. They're all made up. The KingKong camera is too heavy for this setup. I would stick with the Spintech motors. They are better than the Chaoli's
Good day Albert! I new in tiny whoop . don't know which fc controller should buy, this one or beebrain that easy for me! cheers man
BeeCore is better.
Ok thank man..
Hey Albert, need your help again, eh eh... I bought the Furibee F36s and the FC is pretty similar to this one but comes with cleanflight firmware, I tryed a bunch of times to flash betaflight on it but I cant seem to get the FC on DFU mode, tryed with ZADIG but after I search all devices I cant find the bootloader on the tab... Help me pleaseeeeeee...
Okay, just got it sorted out with the help of our good friend John Cuppi... Flashed betaflight by choosing SPRACING F3, BF 3.01, baud rate of 115200 with full chip erase selected. No boot-pad loader shorting required... Thanks any way because you always have helped me in the past with other issues,, all the best and big hug
Wait a minute, now when I plug the battery the motors start to spin and it does not allow me to arn or do anything...How do I fix this???
Jesus, sorry for being such a pain with these stupid questions... I had to change the motor protocol for BRUSHED, eh eh... I´m still learning and sometimes something so evident makes me go around and around when the fix it´s right in front of my face, once again sorry Albert... Big hug
keep getting this : Failed to open serial port
you probably have a driver problem. Search google for "cleanflight zadig"
Albert Kim ok will do
Can't get Beta to flash:/
Cleanflight works
Beta recognizes comm7
I select F3 evo
Latest Verizon beta
Baud rate 256000
Full chip erase
Load firmware
And it disconnects
I'm having trouble flashing my beecore with any other firmware. I've tried everything.
Same here, I tried to load the BeeCoreF3 with the same settings and versions that Albert used, but no connection while trying to flash and won't flash. Cleanflight connects just fine and even Betaflight connects in CLI mode, but no flashing??? Tried in Win10 and XP with all the latest drivers loaded.
Try watching this video to troubleshoot. You have a computer driver problem - ruclips.net/video/m4ygG6Y5zXI/видео.html
Try watching this video to troubleshoot. You have a computer driver problem - ruclips.net/video/m4ygG6Y5zXI/видео.html
Thanks Albert! Watched the vid, sorted my driver issues in Win10 and sucessfully flashed my BeecoreF3 in DFU mode and it is a VCP board. Went from Cleanflight to Betaflight 3.0.1, yipee! I used tweezers to short the "boot" pads on the Beecore then plugged into USB and DFU mode came up in Betaflight Configurator, and flashed just fine.
By attempting to flash betaflight it goes not into dfu mode, whats wrong here? Normal connection in cleanfight works fine
You need to update your com port driver with zadig.
if you cant flash go to singularity.impulserc.com/ and run the ImpulseRC Driver Fixer. then it works :D
Hi Albert, do you by chance know what flight board config will work with the turnigy evolution?
Thanks for all the info
+HIGH FLYA ACAYA flight board config? Not sure what you're asking...
will the flysky board bind with a turnigy evolution?
Ah... unfortunately no. The flysky version of the BeeCore is 1A FlySky only. Evolution is 2A
What kind of flight times on the batteries you listed? Thanks
About 4 minutes
Thanks. That's decent time. Does it have punch for flips and such while keeping altitude? I got a similar camera from Amazon, Crazypony with same model# and similar antenna. MM's coming for my E010. Have the BeeCore F3 ready.
It can but I need to increase my roll rates as it's too slow to roll without some altitude loss. But I prefer to fly this more low to the ground proximity flying. With higher rates this kind of flying is a lot harder.
Hi do you know if the flysky one is afhds 2a compatible ? Thanks
I think that one is only 1A compatible.
Hey Albert, my beecore is keep flipping at full throttle from motor2 to motor3 direction... i've tried many ways with PID setting.. and I still can't figure it out...please help me out.
+young wan Kim have you tried replacing the motors?
of course, i have bunch set of 19000kv+ motors... it would still do the same thing...
everything else is fine when its not at full throttle..
+young wan Kim I think the FC might be bad.
+young wan Kim what is your pwm value?
has anyone succesfully got the beecore flysky version working ? cant find any info on the flysky version only problems. not sure if i should purchase it as it seems faulty, can anyone confirm?
Did you change your radio setting to mode 1A? It defaults to 2A which is incompatible.
no i havent actually got it yet its in the mail i was just wondering if anyone is using the beecore flysky succesfully as i cant seem to find anyone that has figured it out.
I did exacly same build, but with 260mah battery i 've got 1-2min flytime, after that time drone starts to barly hover with full throtlle. Is it normal?
+Dominik Frukacz not normal. Something might be wrong with the battery, battery connector, or motors. What kind of motors are on it?
I used those www.banggood.com/4X-Chaoli-CL-615-Upgraded-6x15mm-59000-RPM-Coreless-Motor-for-FPV-Racer-Blade-Inductrix-Tiny-Whoop-p-1102956.html
+Dominik Frukacz how much does your build weigh? It might be too heavy. How many flights did you have on those motors?
quad is 22q and battery 7g, i did only 3 flights
and they were not very long;)
can the flysky version work with the t6?
If the T6 works with the 1st gen protocol then it should be compatible. The receiver on this is not compatible with the 2A protocol in the i6S radio.
Albert Kim tq
I was wondering g if you may be able to help I can't seem to get this board to connect to my win 7 PC I have a jjrc p200 and a tarott 130 which connect fine threw the same USB cable and port when I connect beecore cleanflight and beta flight just say connecting? Is there a driver that I need to download I remember I had to download one for the tarrot thak you In advance
+Antonio Plaza search zadig on Google. You need to replace the USB driver for that board.
Hey man thank you for the feedback I tried Zadig asnd no luck not sure what it could be I followed the link you had posted to QuadBro FPV, I have some time off right now for christmass vacation so ive been able to fly the Tarot 130 and the JJRC P200 however on both the FPV camera are not that great do you know of any option exspecailly for the Tarot 130 everyone says the camera is bad with light which i agree but i cant find any post of any one changing it out I was even thinking of running a run cam on the top frame if possible as the 130 flys great the JJRC P200 its more of an angle issue and ive even swaped the lens for a gopro lens but still not to happy any ideas thanks man!!
Not sure about an alternative camera for the Tarot. I don't have that one so not sure what would fit. Have you tried searching on RCGroups?
Yes i have that whats weird i cant find any one who has swapped it its such a small camera but there has to be other options im leaning towards mounting one on the top deck
Albert Kim Thank you so much for the feedback I followed the link you posted to another users comme
hello therei just setup my new beecore with cleaflight and bound it ti my spectrum DX6I. when i go to fly it seems like the motor spin full speed out of controll. any help
you forgot to set motor_pwm_rate higher than 1000. I usually set mine to 16000
Albert Kim ok ill try that thank you
Still goes like full power and flips out. I've double checked the motor oranition over and over. My reciver works on cleanflight. I haven't add a camera yet
+mark Davis check in CLI, type get protocol. What is it set to?
Albert Kim how do I type that in. "get protocol" I get invalid name
한국 아재임?
죄송합니다. 영어로 써주시겠어요?
I'm sorry but are you Korean?
would this work with flysky fs-i6?
Yes
