I freaking fell in love with Bon instantly when Twitch introduced the ”art” category and started streaming Bob Ross. It was so funny and awesome! I've always noticed how Cinemassacre reviews were also made without any background music or any attempt to make it fast paced or flashy. And they're a breath of fresh air on RUclips, because of that. Now I know where James got the idea from. Keep it up man, it's one of the best channels out there.
I freaking fell in love with Bon instantly when Twitch introduced the ”art” category and started streaming Bob Ross. It was so funny and awesome! People living along with it chatting ”rip the devil!” Or ”RUINED” and just few brush strokes later calling it ”saved”. Suvh an amazing character he still is. Unforgettable personality who amazes and inspires even if you dont paint. I wish I had seen him at kid when I used to draw all the time. Perhaps he could have made me like painting more than I did. Nowadays I dont really do either....
Now we need to see if AVGN can make a nice painting on LJN Video Game Art with Bob Ross' techniques.
What a nice tribute to a wonderful TV personality. Thanks for showing us your old paintings as well, James. This is the kind of content that keeps me coming back to Cinemassacre. You're a beautiful soul.
The 2 most wholesome people from different platforms in 1 video. What a crossover, and those paintings by James are pretty impressive too!
The Clutch Canuck technically he mentioned mister Rogers so that’s three
All that was missing was Steve Irwin!
DUDE, James, the painting you held up is damn good!!!
Another one of Bob Ross' famous quotes: "Beat the devil out of it."
"The he does a stroke and you say "Awww you ruined it""
I see what you did there James....RIP Devil
I remember having a conversation almost exactly like this with a friend many years ago. You are convinced one moment that he has ruined his art with a misplaced schmear--then boom! A masterpiece.
I only recently discovered Bob Ross and his videos are so soothing. Seems like he was the sweetest man who just wanted to give people joy by sharing his gift. I can't believe he was once a drill sergeant. May need to try one of his paintings now I'm in isolation.
Your own artwork is awesome James-especially since you were so young when you did them. You should be very proud. 👍
Wait, your childhood hero was a laid back guy, who would talk in a half-sleepy way that lulled people?
I am shocked, shocked!
Paint drops on AVGN's shoe.
_"Cowa-f7cking-diarrhea-bung hole!!!!"_
4:30 HOLY SMOKES DUUUUUUDE!
This is very good.
I never learned to paint but the fact that he cared so much for animals and nature made Bob somewhat of a hero to me. Also your paintings are amazing, not even exaggerating. They really capture Bob Ross' essence and feel.
Your a badass James, when I was a kid I would watch bob ross and think “man I’d like to try that” well you actually went out and painted. I applaud you.
Me too, but paint is expensive
And with that, James reminds us that there are still some very positive, bright spots in this world. Thanks James.
Bob Ross was a personal hero of mine too, here in Costa Rica they used to air his show when I was a kid and a lot of people loved it. He was part of what made me pursue arts for a living. Thank you James, and specially... Thank you Bob.
4:20 Not Bob Ross' level, of course, but still amazing! Specially for a 11 y.o.!
