Watching Bob brings back so many happy childhood memories, and the reason I have so much art equipment, I'm not that good but not that bad as I did alot of partying then had a family young but its great teaching my daughter how to draw fruit, faces, very detailed eyes ect she thinks I'm the best which is amazing 🤓

Unfortunately, she caught me at the moon on the beginning. I begged her to let me watch it. We didn't have a video recorder and I wasn't allowed to record anything like that anyway. HAHA 10 years later I kept seeing episodes, but only now after 30 years - finally I found this episode. My love of painting and drawing has remained. Thanks Bob!

I just completed this painting, when Bob is explaining what he does to the canvas before he begins, I believe he means to say pthalo blue instead says green. Talk about a happy accident, the colours in the sky and water become a beautiful purple instead of the blue that you see in Bob's painting
Alizarin crimson, Phthalo blue (i’m pretty sure he meant blue not green), titanium white, cadmium yellow, yellow ocher, vandyke brown, burnt umber, and a touch of sap green. This could be done with a 1 inch brush, fan brush, A painting knife, and a liner brush. In an optional 2 inch brush for blending. I’m bout ready to tackle this one, wish me luck

I wish Bob was alive to thank him. He’d respond to all his letters sent to him. As a kid, life wasn’t easy and turmoil was relentless in my home. School was no better, bullied and never able to be at peace. These videos would come on at 5:00 on PBS here in Texas. I didn’t know at the time how he was my life support. I dozed off and had a nice nap daily to his painting, when ASMR wasn’t a thing. That buzzy, euphoric sometimes even the chills while watching him work and soothe with his voice. It’s no exaggeration, these episodes were sometimes all I had to look forward to and were my solace. He is a true gift to humanity
