Put a drill bit in your dremel and it's like a router to cut out the boxes. Something i learned from trying to river surf here in wv- go to an auto parts store and look for chip and scratch resistant clearcoat in a rattle-can. I put several layers on my nose and it did wonders for my close proximity with rocks. Wet sand it smooth and repeat for any dings or scratches. I showed it to a shaper on tybee island, originally from Santa Cruz; he started using it on his longboards for the rides into the sand. Scuffs buff out with the minimalist of effort.
