Am I surprised that neither you Robert, nor George took the time out to respond to me, a fellow Catholic in what has transpired and continues to transpire in relation to what is under discussion here? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . When both Church and State start to explicitly promote marriage and the headship of the father in families (and all that entails) I’ll start to care about other things they start to say about governance of society.
Have you compared "sovereign immunity" in US law [Alden v. Maine US 1999] as really where the divine right of kings manages to thrive surreptitiously among the nation for the last 200 years plus? They kicked God out of the theory, but the benefits are the same, and they all probably go to hell anyways. We just have to suffer it during our lives. I mean think about it. Instead of one King or Queen, every official has the divine right: eeek!
May the Holy Spirit move here . . . . . So @ around 16:15 into the presentation on the monarchy, ergo the British monarchy and your "support" for it, fair enough, but please let's have matters in perspective (if we can)? The Queen (God rest her soul) takes an oath to rule by the Law of God yet Her respective governments instituted abortion subsequent to which they have relentlessly driven that insidious legislation home and continue to do so with vengeance,. HER governments also enacted other anti-Christian legislation and the royal family maintained and maintains a Howling silence despite their claim to the headship of the Church (of England) thereby "representing" Christ on Earth. At no time in my time did the Queen ever "speak out" on such matters of God and morality, this is in order to maintain Popularity? To be "all things to all men" and thus maintain power, Elizabeth's sister Margret, was an adulterer and philanderer, dare we mention Mountbatten, Andrew etc. etc.? The Popes speak out on abortion, contraception, homosexuality etc. etc. and by the world at large they are duly, hated, ridiculed and lambasted for it. We now have a head of the Church (of England) who de facto "represents" Christ, for millions upon millions of people, who is known and readily accepted as a serial adulterer concerning which he has exhibited no remorse, regrets or conscience, a man of obscene wealth, Luke 16:19-31, and you appear to readily accept all that or certainly pass it by? You're Catholic? Then surely mediate on John the Baptist and his denouncing of Herod, think and act like Catholic's . . . . . . for you are in the Teaching Seat are you not? AVE MARIA!
