This was exceptionally good advice and concise. We had nothing to lose and it wasn't until we tried all 4 possible solutions that we actually fixed our problem. The machine hasn't run so well in years. Wow Lou I'm now a subsciber. Thanks so much.
Lou, Thank you very much!!!! This video saved me from buying a new Keurig!!! I cleaned the metal filter and it pumps like it was brand new!!!! AWESOME!!!!!
Thank you for making this video. I was ready to trash my Keurig. I took off the top lid to find the elbow tube clogged with coffee grinds. Thanks again!
What a perfect description of how to fix my coffee maker. The first step was all I needed - but now I'm ready in case something else goes wrong. Thank you for taking time to clearly explain and demonstrate the inner workings of the Keurig plumbing.
Thank you! At first it was brewing slow and then my screen became blank. But thanks to RUclips and you, I was able to fix the screen, and realize that the top puncher hole of the Keurig was clogged with coffee grinds. Cleaned it out and brews normally again! Thank you!
Great video! FOR MINE, the issue was actually a clogged carbon filter "pouch" (looks like a teabag) that is located in the bottom of the holder. It's the tall black thing in the water reservoir that sits on top of the metal filter you showed in your video. It just pulls up and off, then I used a flat screwdriver in the notch to pull out the assembly. Ordered a six-pack of replacement filters on Amazon for $6. Runs perfect again!
I made a mistake in pulling the ring all the way over the water line elbow but was able to get it back on. I also struggled to get the black cap back on but a squeeze and a punch to the front end of the cap did the trick. Thanks - this video was a sanity-saver for me!
Thank you so much for such clear and concise information and how to troubleshoot. I descaled my machine, water would come through no problem, but it was a sad pathetic trickle of coffee attempting to brew to no avail. I had no idea that the bottom part where then lower needle is came off and after cleaning that out with some metal wire I was back to enjoying my much needed morning coffee. Thank you son much for presenting this information in such an accessible way!
Thanks for posting this video, I would have never figured out how to open that top lid myself ever. And once opened, wallah, I could see the debris blocking the outlet pipe. Now it works like a charm and you saved me over $$$, thanks for posting this great video.
puncture needle in a diff model clogged with a couple ground flakes, , , blew it out, fixed. i didnt know the cup holder actually sepreated into two pieces for cleaning. thanks
After some struggle, I managed to get the bottom off of the K-cup holder and cleaned inside it as you demonstrated. I think it helped. It's running nicely now. When I get a bit more ambitious, I'll check under the upper portion and clean out that tube.
Thank you! We've been suffering with a slow Keurig for a while. Replacing it was mentioned, but I figured I'd search to see what fixes the Hive Mind had. It was the second one. The needle - you could blow through it easily, but you couldn't easily pass a paper clip until I forced it. A big chunk of ick popped out. Though we clean the pod holder regularly, the needle clearly wasn't cleaned well enough. Hasn't worked this well in a long time! Thanks, again!
Whoa, thanks so much for this! I noticed my parents' Keurig has slowed down considerably, so tomorrow, I hope to restore it back to its former glory lol
Great video! We’re in the process of working on ours now. I like how when one step doesn’t work, you continue with other areas to fix. Wish us luck! (I’m sure we’ll get it fixed with your clear instructions.)
If it is slow, but still running, empty the tank and fill it with vinegar and make several cups of hot vinegar. The acid in the vinegar eats the calcium and lime that are clogging you up. Good luck!
Great video it helped me a lot! The mesh screen at the bottom of my water tank was clogged! Rinsed it out and descaled the machine with vinegar and it’s as good as new!!! Thanks!
Thanks Lou! The calcium in the tube was my issue. A Qtip dipped in vinegar worked well. HOWEVER it’s important to note that putting the screws back in is a tricky task for the average Joe (or Jill in this case). The screw fell inside the machine somewhere. No luck getting it out by turning the machine upside down either. So I’m using it now without the decorative black cap and hose exposed. It works fine, but I feel like that runaway screw is gonna come back and haunt me! LOL thanks again!
Fill your tank with white vinegar and brew it all through. Repeat several times until it speeds up. The acid in the vinegar eats out the calcium that is clogging your internal pipes.
Oh my. The stuff I unearthed from my Keurig looked like some kind of primordial black sea snot. So slimy! So disgusting!!! Thank you. It works great now; I just don't know how I will ever get over the thought that I was drinking coffee from that horrifying petri dish of a machine. Brrrrr.
Ok maybe I need to perform some of this in reverse as it seems a slower brew makes BETTER coffee. Some things are worth waiting for, no instant gratification. The water in these devices moves thru the grounds too fast. 2x as long would be just right.
This has to be the most information conveyed per second in all of RUclips. Bless you good sir.

Thought I'd have to say goodbye to my Keurig, followed the first 3 steps in the video and low and behold, it's as good as new, thanks a bunch!!!!

Great video! I love how he so quickly gets to the point and doesn't beg me to subcribe, like, or 'ring the bell'.
Thank you for noticing. I have 300 videos and I have never asked for likes/subs. I hate when people do that too.

Thank you Lou! Your instructions are perfect!! I had two areas of failure and now my Keurig is back running again👍🏼
Thanks Lou for such a great video & taking the time to produce this for us Keurig coffee lovers! Now I have a project to look over my Keurig : )

Nice add. Thank you.

This one video earned you a follow. Thank you. I am sure you have samed many of us the costs of a new machine all for the simple cost of a paperclip.
Thank you! We've been suffering with a slow Keurig for a while. Replacing it was mentioned, but I figured I'd search to see what fixes the Hive Mind had.

Hasn't worked this well in a long time! Thanks, again!
This came in handy this morning when I was able to fix the Keurig in our office kitchen! I'm new the office hero.
Whoa, thanks so much for this! I noticed my parents' Keurig has slowed down considerably, so tomorrow, I hope to restore it back to its former glory lol
The best and most information to fix my slow drip. Tried the paper clip - worked perfect after that - Thank you !
This is just what I needed. I cleaned the pin and it's working perfectly again. Thanks

Very helpful video. Your video saved me from having to go out and purchase a new one! Thanks!
Great video it helped me a lot! The mesh screen at the bottom of my water tank was clogged! Rinsed it out and descaled the machine with vinegar and it’s as good as new!!! Thanks!
Very well explain in just 3:00 minutes video I m lucky to find it before watch the 10:00 minutes long ones thank you 🙏
ended up picking up a busted Keurig and through this video ended up fixing it, cheers man!
Thank you. Fixed my slow drip in five minutes, removing morning frustration
Thank you for your help! Mine was not brewing because the needles that puncture the coffee cup were clogged
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! It was a big help
Another great "hack" type of video Lou. It resonates well with those of us that are not as 'handy' as you. Great job!
Thanks Big Matt! You make the Gym look easy!!
Straight to the point, for the info I needed. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this, I was able to fix my Keurig. My lower basket needle was blocked.
Thank you , this video was the first I found that described cleaning the lower needle. Solved my issue in minutes!
Excellent diagnosis! Works perfectly. Thank you.
There is a hard plastic cover over the desk with the three screws. How would you recommend removing it?
Your video fixed my Keurig!! Thank you!
I fixed our Keurig at my office. I'm everyone's hero now.
Best info my man! Ck the needle that punches through the pod. That was the problem. And of course the rest is very informative.
Thank you! Thought I was going to have to buy a new one! Running as fast as when I got it!
What size coffee Oz do I use? I have 8, 10, and 12 Oz. I either missed it (he just said "make a cup of coffee"). Does that mean the 12 Oz setting?
I was making 8oz, but it doesn’t really matter.
@@HowToLou 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ It just occurred to me that I just have to count to 20 seconds and sew about the inch. I am so ditzy sometimes!!!
We followed all of this for our recently lame Keurig & now I can cancel my Amazon order for a new one 🤣🤣🤣
Quick and to the point. Great video!
Thank you. I was just about to buy a new one. Your video was easy to follow and it worked!
I have a model with buttons on top of the casing where the water/coffee comes through. I can’t seem to do the same thing when I take the buttons off.
I am sorry. I don’t have that model. Try running vinegar through it. The acid in the vinegar eats away the calcium that is clogging the water lines.
Hey Lou! I miss being your banker : ) This video will be really helpful for my wife's Keurig. Hope you're doing well!
Hey Cray! Good to hear from you! Lucky me, something is always breaking at my house, so I can make videos 😂
Thank you!! Followed the advice and she’s up and working again. 🙌
Fantastic!
The little in between clips are so cute 😭
Thanks Lou! The calcium in the tube was my issue. A Qtip dipped in vinegar worked well. The runaway screw will be fine in there. A 25 cent replacement from the hardware store will get Average Jill’s lid back on!
Concise, easy to understand -- and it works! Thank you.
Thanks for this video. Saved my machine.
Glad it helped
You saved my coffee life! Thank you!
Thank you!!! Excellent video. Worked for me!!
Great video. Thanks man!
Concise and right to the point 👈!

Thank you very much for this help very much
I tried all those. Still comes our very slow and at the end it doesn't cycle and refill
Fill your tank with white vinegar and brew it all through. Repeat several times until it speeds up. The acid in the vinegar eats out the calcium that is clogging your internal pipes.
Nice quick video. Thank you
Great video- thanks so much!
Absolutely excellent advice and it worked 100%. Thank you!!!
Thank you blessings 🙏🏻🙌🏻✔️
Thank you so much.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you 👏🏽 I was able to get it to working again👍🏽
Feel like I’ve tried this already still only getting 2 oz when I should get 6
Brew a gallon of vinegar through, one cup at a time, a few times, until the acid from the vinegar cleans out the calcium thats clogging your pipes.
Ok I’ll try that
Quick easy string to the point love it
Very good video and really helped me
I will try this tomorrow! Thank you!
Thank you! This solved the problem for me :)
great video, thank you!
It worked! Thanks! Our needle was clogged! I am now the hero of the office! LOL Now all the grumpy people can get their freakin coffe. LOL
Nice vid.
My top spike was blocked! thanks!
Thank you!

Lol - voted best comment of the month! Yeah they get dirty!
Thank you
Paper clips did the trick!

TO PUT THE CAP BACK IN, DON'T BE AFRAID TO USE FORCE! SQUEEZE AND PUSH
I can't take that cup out of my keurig.
Or just drink Tea.. :)
Lol yeah, or take caffeine pills. Far less mess and expense.
