Where was this video 2 years ago? I used Kuerig for years, got 2 years tops out of them and tossed them for this very reason. I even purchased the office grade unit, same problem. Finally bought a Cuisinart, never looked back, have had mine 3 years, works as good as the day I bought it. Getting to the point, this is fantastic info, thanks for posting, this will help save many people money, this is why I continue to watch you tube. There are many clever people out there, and you are one of them.
Two years later and you're still helping. I've been struggling for about a month with mine making less and less coffee. I'll have to run it 4times before I got half a cup. Your advice got me back to a full cup in one try. I'm so grateful.
@@Journeyman-Fixit Just wants to say "Thanks". The wife was banging the daylights out of the coffee maker. Lifted that reservoir out and it was bad. Cleaned that valve assembly and working as good as new.
I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge on how you fixed your non working Keurig coffee maker. I was on the brink of throwing mine away but went to RUclips, once again and there you were showing what you did to yours. I did the exact thing and now mine works perfect. You are very innovative and once again thanks for helping so many by sharing your knowledge.
Did the trick. We’ve had ours for about a year. Husband was ready to toss it and buy another one. These machines are not cheap. Runs like brand new now thank you.
Spent more time putting my machine back together listening to others bad advice. This slick trick worked immediately. LISTEN TO THIS MAN, it works. Thanks!
This is the best fix EVER on RUclips! I did all the descaling and needle paper clip stuff for over a year with no results. This fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes... No more double and triple Pumping!
Thanks for your kind feedback, I discovered that fix after throwing two other Keurigs away and my Wife had "descaled" the third one 5 times in a row with no results! Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.
Thank you so much, sir! I had my Keurig sitting by the door to go to the trash. I figured it was 12 years old, it was time for another one. I did go get an “emergency” cheap drip coffee maker from Walmart (this happened in the middle of the week when I didn’t have time to think about it, and I can’t go one day without coffee!) but YUCK!, I guess I am spoiled on Keurig coffee. I thought, what the heck, I’ll Google and see if this is a common problem and could it be fixed. Found your video, tried it, and Wala, it’s fixed! You saved me a lot of money and saved the landfill from one more Keurig sitting in it! Thank you!!
Hello! I found the issue after my poor Wife spent what seemed to be an endless amount of time descaling our Keurig (she said about six descaling cycles) and still no results. I looked at it (my father was a Plumber) I stated thinking "valve" and the rest was history. You are so welcome, and thank you for taking the time to share your story!
Bravo, thanks a bunch. This did the trick. I took off the bottom plate, and the tubing and all looked very clean even though it is several years old. I cleaned the needles with a paper clip and took off the top cover as another video had suggested, but all was AOK. Your comment did the trick. Thanks again.
This works. The only downside is that miserably unhappy people who were unable to get their morning coffee come here and it’s slightly painful to get a minutes worth of info stretched out to four and a half minutes. Thank you nonetheless!
Hopefully they are somewhat awake (and are in a good state of mind) when looking for a fix here on RUclips! But to your point one can never be totally certain of anything... I hope I helped in some small way - thank you. (BTW: In the future I will try to be more brief). Thanks for stopping by! 😊
This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
I retrieve the same coffee machine from my grandson’s room, when he moved out of my ex-wife‘s house. It had sat on the shelf for at least two years I replace the water tank and almost threw the machine out when it wasn’t working. While my wife was doing a return on Amazon. I looked in my iPad at your video. I gave it a try and lo and behold it worked. Thanks for saving me a few bucks on replacing the coffee maker.
WOW You just saved me from buying a new Keurig coffee maker. I tried descaling as well and nothing was improving. I cleaned that reservoir valve and it started flowing normally again. Thank You So Much!! 😀
How in the WORLD did you ever discover this???? I had descaled our coffee maker at work and thought it was just too soon for it to STOP PUMPING. I did this and BAM, back in business. Thanks a bunch.
Hi Wanda, my dear sweet Wife was going crazy descaling ours to no avail. So glad to hear you are back up and running again. Thank for your thoughtful feedback!
A friend had a keurig and it quit working. He destroyed it taking it apart but found what he thought was black bugs in the hose between the tanks. I was about to tear mine apart but thought I'd check youtube first. I tried the toothbrush trick and it's working perfect again. It pumps water for 10 or 15 seconds now when before it took about 2 minutes to pump water into the internal tank. Last year I called keurig about it and they said to descale it. I told her I used distilled water and she said in that case no I didn't need to descale it. THANK YOU very much Journeyman!!!
Kerrigan stopped brewing this AM. Found your video. Thanks for saving me from tossing out my machine! Your video was spot on. Took a few minutes, now running like new.
You saved my soul and life found this video late on a Saturday evening after ours broke! My wife would have killed me without her coffee! Your a true hero
You saved my Keurig from going into the trash. I've watched a few youtube videos and non that would help mine. My machine now works. You've made me very. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this simple solution. I noticed that sometimes removing the tank and putting it back helped but did not check the valve and spring. Of course descaling sometimes helps too but for now this is my problem. I am amazed how people taking "time" of their schedules to post videos helps us all.
I thought it would be helpful to others as per the owner's manual it mentions descaling (my wife descaled ours six times before coming to me and saying that it was not helping) upon further observation I discovered the valve issue. Thanks for your feedback!
Thanks for sharing this information. It fixed the issue with my Keurig and definitely saved me the time and frustration associated with tearing it down and possibly never getting it back together. I noticed a number of other commenters saying that they were close to throwing their coffee maker away and replacing it with another. Considering that Keurig is the market leader by a wide margin in the single pod coffee business, they are HOPING that we will chuck our failing makers and pop for another one made by Keurig. I've only used mine for six months and the fact that the valve was clogging up indicates to me that it is a design failure. Your discovery and generous attitude in sharing it here is greatly appreciated but if my Keurig quits working again and I can't easily remedy the issue, I'm quitting the pod life.
I hear you Steve, I fix things because over the years it adds up to countless dollars of budget savings for my hard-working family. I have old things that are still working because they are made out of more superior materials. I remember years ago the old percolator coffee pot and loved the smell of the coffee (and it really woke me up when I needed the caffeine), it might be time to go back to that. Thanks for the feedback, knowing I may have helped save someone else frustration made my day!
FOLKS, don't use soap to descale your machines! Always use vinegar and run it through multiple times. Just a few cups. After that, fill the entire vessel with only water and run that through the machine. Do this at least twice a year if you're a daily user of these machines.
Thank you for this video for all us coffee drinker addicts! I’ve had my same Keurig for probably10 years now. Just when I thought I was going to have to get a new one. RUclips to the rescue once more!
Right in the middle of descaling, filling the cups until the blue light comes on, and my Keurig quits pumping. I had cleaned the piercer with a paper clip to no avail, I took the top cover off and cleaned the check valve and it ran one cup and quit. Finally I found this posting and cleaned the outlet on the bottom of the reservoir. Afterward I was able to finish the descaling and flushed out the tank. The Keurig works great now, no excessive noise trying to pump water and it works much faster. Thanks Journeyman.
Yay! It worked! Should've saw how sad my husband looked when he couldnt fix it at first. Shoulders slumps n sighs. Itll be a nice surprise when he gets back from his work trip. Thanks for taking the time to record n share!
I tried several other suggested fixes, never would have thought this would have been the issue but your suggestion worked! Thanks very much for sharing!
I own the single cup Keurig, the water tank being only 1 inch high, with some dark residue on the inside of the tank over the small wire mesh filter. It was pumping slow, leaving about 1/8 inch of water still in the tank, then nothing. Had to lift the handle again and drop it to complete the process, then the whole cup came out. I flushed the inside with hot water (no soap) and also used the brush by hand for a few minutes on the inside, a little on the bottom ejection. Poured another cup of water into the tank and watched it pump faster with a full cup. Many thanks sir for your help.
I found that in my unit, it wasn't the valve causing the issue. It was the fine mesh screen inside the reservoir that needed cleaning. and we use distilled water! You led me in the right direction, for that, tip of hat to you sir!
After watching countless videos, descalling it a few times, cursing at it more than a few times; I'm happy to say that it was fixed instantly after watching your video. I was dreading buying another one, so I'm happy this worked. Thank you!
Thank you! My son gave me one for my birthday. My husband descaled it 2 times and the descale light was still on. This was after using it for 3 mos. Husband said, throw it away and I'll get the old one from the garage. NOOOOOO, I can't go back! lol. It started doing what you said this morning. Luckily my husband is not here. I'm going to try this and let ya'll know....It worked!!! I just pushed the spring several times as it had plastic cover around it. It didn't appear to be dirty or slimy. Now if I can find a video on how to get the descale light off!
I had the same issues today with my Keurig. I was worried, that I had would have to replace this one, or would have to open up the machine. I did a RUclips search, and I found your video. I didn't have an electric toothbrush. I used an old regular toothbrush. I put a little dish soap on the toothbrush, and I scrubbed the area for a few minutes. I have ran my Keurig machine, a few times, and so far, it's working again like before. You are a genius! This really does work. Thanks for posting this video. 👍
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! I've been without my Keurig for two weeks trying to find a fix, and this worked perfectly! I'm amazed and so grateful! I can put the french press away now :)
Oh my! Our Keurig is going to be 7 years old in 2 weeks and I was hoping to limp past the new year dripping 1/2 cup x 2 for a full cup. LOL! However, your solution worked perfectly. I worked a toothbrush in and around the place you demonstrated, with just a little Dawn and some hot water. The screen there was FILTHY and the more I brushed it, the cleaner it got. Thank you so much!!!
Elizabeth, I'm impressed to see a Keurig that has been around that long. Thanks for the update and feedback, with the holidays approaching we will probably need our Keurigs more than ever. I hope you get many more cups in the future! 😊
@@Journeyman-Fixit I kept thinking this was the end, started working on the eulogy for this very faithful servant, and had already begun scoping out prices online. Finding your video saved me well over $100! I'm still stunned. ❤️
Thanks for the tip ... seems to be working fine now. Like you, we don't have any hard water problems where we live, so I've never descaled the machine. Had it for about 8 years and still works great. Thanks again.
Worked for me. I had watched the other vids and tried those suggestions. Didn’t expect this to work either cause I didn’t see anything on the valve. Used the toothbrush for cleaning, then also an Allen wrench to plunge the spring loaded valve a few times. I’ve got coffee now, thank you!
It actually worked! Thanks! It was for the one at my job so I didn't have access to an electric toothbrush. I used the bristles of the bottle brush cleaner we have at the office and just scrubbed best I could. Again, thanks! Just saved my office from having to purchase a new one.
IT WORKED! thank you so much. My keurig has been broke for months and months and this video just helped me fix it in like 2 seconds lol. I was about to toss it!
You are so welcome! I love helping others keep their hard-earned money to spend on other things than just repeat-buying (of things they already own). I am so glad to have helped, thank you so much for leaving your kind/generous feedback!
Thanks for the help. Whenever my kerig burns out, I will not purchase another one. This is the 2nd time that I was able to find a solution to a problem with my kerig on RUclips. Kerig has never disclosed, as far as I know, problems and/or solutions to their product. Kudos to you!👍
Thank you so much! I just wanted to let you know that your solution is still helping people. I have the same model of machine as you do and your suggestion of cleaning that valve worked perfectly. I don't have an electric toothbrush but I found that scrubbing with a regular toothbrush worked just as well. Thank you again!
Dear Faz, I am so glad you took the time to share your "fix" and put your comment in, it makes me so happy to read these and even more to see that "the fix" was able to help someone else. happy holidays to you and yours!
Thank you so much for this video! Ours basically stopped pumping any water. I followed this video a couple of times and it now flows almost like new. We descaled as well and it worked most of the time. We have had our unit for 5 years so really are thankful it works at all... :) Thanks again!
Perfect! That did the trick. I also used a can of compressed air (cause I happened to have such a thing) and blew out the receiver for that valve. We're back in business. Thanks a bunch!
I was so mad when my 4 month old Keurig stopped working. Yours was first video I came to....I did exactly what you said and it works perfectly. You are a savior of our morning peace! LOL Thank you.
Thank you soooo much for taking the time to make this video it has brought my frustration level for Keurig back down. Did not need the simple task of descaling sending me out on Christmas Eve to get a new coffee maker so glad I found your video. Best wishes
Had exactly the same problem, thanks for the tip. Thast why I come to RUclips when I need advice cause someone has already had the same issue that is bothering me. Thanks again, great video, short and to the point.
Thanks! We just bought a used keurig machine just like yours at goodwill for 6 bucks....took it home and it didnt work, but turns out that valve you show with spring was stuck, and it wouldnt pump water!! Fixed it and works great! Thanks again
Can't wait to try this!! This is exactly the problem I was having with the same model! You, good sir, are a HERO! I love my Keurig, up til this point it had never failed me. Now I can get another few years out of it I bet. Thanks again!
Thank you are equally great for sending me such nice feedback. In our journey with these Keurigs I think we went through two of them before we found this issue. Ouch - LOL!
Thanks for taking the time to show this fix! Similar to you, I was getting gradually smaller cups of coffee and then no pumping at all. Cleaned the valve with a sink brush and this amazingly simple fix worked perfectly for me. Now operating in top form. Tried a toilet brush first but it made the coffee taste funny.
LOL, Toilet brush??? All humor aside, thanks for your kind feedback. Coffee is one thing I simply cannot live without! Glad to hear you are back up and running! 😊
This worked for our Keurig-K Duo. All the lights were lit solid ... nothing was happening. Unplugging for "a few hours" did nothing (an actual recommendation) and cleaning every piece and crevice did nothing. I treated the valve in the water reservoir -- exactly as shown in this video AND everything works! Thank you for taking the time to share this!
Yes like you we had issues, my wife de-scaled our Keurig six times with no results. I feel fortunate to have found the valve clogged and wanted to share it with others. Thanks for the feedback, I hope you get a good amount of service yet from your Keurig! 😊
Omg thank you so much for this video! You’ve saved my sanity! I tried EVERYTHING then I came across your video! I cleaned out that water valve and just like that, VOILA!
Thank you so much for posting that video. I just started having that problem yesterday and this morning it was much worse. Now its fine. I just used an old manual toothbrush for about a minute and then depressed the valve and held it under hot running tap water for another minute . its good to know I can fix it when it happens again. Also, its really an outrage that Keurig doesn't describe this fix. I had another unit some years ago and wound up trashing when this happened.
Mine was about 2 years old and I dealt with this problem for weeks. Holding down the top of the Keurig thinking it was holding the pod properly only to waste pods and get about a half ounce of coffee. UGH! HOWEVER I DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID AND IT WORKS AGAIN!! PEOPLE THIS ACTUALLY WORKS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM COFFEE LOVERS AROUND THE 🌎!!!!
Thank you!! Fixed in 10 secs!! Work in a dusty environment & that valve was just clogged!! BTW do NOT take these units completely apart!! Did that with our last one to replace heating unit & took forever & still didn't work properly.
OMG!!! Thank you so much!!!!! I didn't realize that this was NOT the norm until I used my friends (exact same) machine and received a full cup of coffee! You tubed a search and viola! There you are! Again, thank you! You made my day!
Thanks for the feedback Lori! Yes it is a good fix from the standpoint that we have received a lot more mileage from our Keurig also. RUclips is a great tool for all of us in our "fix-its" for our homes and property property - love it! Have a great day! 😊
Thank you Journeyman. My situation was almost identical to yours and your cleaning of that water valve advice worked for me as well. Thank you for sharing. Cincinnati Bob
Wow, i did everything and nothing worked. Did your fix and BANG it worked !!! Was going to go and buy a new one today. You saved me $$$$ Thank you for the fix
Thank you so very much for that. I love my Keurig and I am the fool who has gone out and bought more than one because they quit working. I'm smart enough to have saved them so I will clean them all out now
Just had this same problem and your video was the first I watched. Took me a couple tries but after the second cleaning my Keurig is back to normal-THANK YOU!!
Thanks so much, this worked immediately after I tried your method ! Better than the other videos out there! Awesome fix, Keurig should pay you for helping all of us since there’s absolutely no video put out by them. I bet so many people just ran out and purchased new coffee machines! Maybe that’s the plan! Thanks again!
Hey Just did this treatment with a regular toothbrush and some Dawn dish soap. WORKS LIKE A CHAMP!!! Our model is an older one than your but the process was the same. Now enjoying a good cup of coffee again thanks to you. Best Wishes.
thank you, I have never thought about cleaning the bottom like that. So far I haven't had any problems but I think I am going to take it apart this weekend & clean it anyway.
We have a Cuisinart SS-10 Premium Single Serve unit that has a filter in it. But I can see and have read that "that" particular water inlet valve has caused problems - even on my unit. We also use filtered water (used to store it in the refrigerator but not anymore) to keep the reservoir filled. When I change the water filter (it's a Pur water pitcher) I also clean the coffee maker. Thanks for sharing your info with all of us. It is videos like these that make life easier for all of us.
It's great to help others hopefully get a longer life out of their appliances. I hope you get a lot of use out of your Cuisinart. Thanks for your helpful addition of information Ray, it seems one can never learn enough when it comes to this kind of challenge! ☺
OMG I was just about to spend 200+ on a new Keurig, BUT Thanks to you :) my Keurig is pumping again and it also is MUCH quieter I cant Thank You enough !!!!
I was about to purchase another coffee pot, specifically an old school one until I watched this video (As I happily write this review sipping my nice cup of coffee). Thank you! You fixed it!
You made me feel so stupid! I'm on my third Keurig machine. The previous 2, I did not know how to fix it, so I just throw both away. This time thanks to your so simple fix, I got my Keurig up and running in five minutes - Thank you for sharing!
Worked perfectly! There is also a screen on the inside of the reservoir. I simply used a small craft paint brush , moved it around over the screen & rinsed. Works perfectly now
Had mine for 7.2 years, and just today, for the first time, the motor is running but won't produce coffee. I de-scaled it a few months ago for the first time since I had it, so doubt that's the issue (atleast internally). I will give this a try first thing tomorrow morning when I make my coffee. Thank you, and please keep your fingers crossed!
So many other videos and this was my fix. The motor sounded like it was dry and when looking into the tank i could see the intake valve was barely dripping water. After feeling inside the tank it was slimey and i could see the nasty algae type stuff. I did what you did and i went a step further by unscrewing the piece from inside the tank and cleaning it all my hand. I was just about to throw this thing away and you saved me. Thank you
Also, do the same where the female valve is on the machine itself where the water tank/male valve makes contact. Mine was actually hanging up there. I had to blow a bit of air into it while depressing it. Works great again.
Wow! Thank you so much for this. My sister is coming to visit and the day before her arrival my maker was acting funny. I descaled it even though it had only been about five weeks, but I’m a coffee connoisseur and I use the machine quite a bit. After I descaled everything got out of sync after that. I watched another video on how to reset the computer and then I did what you said here and now my machine is working! Thank you thank you ! I’m one grateful coffee connoisseur👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻☕️☕️☕️
Great! Was just about to completely open mine and investigate the same problem, will try to go this route and see if it fixes it this way. Way to go and thank you!!!
Thank you so much! You video solved my problem! I had watched 2 other videos did what they did with no help. I went to Keurig’s website with very little help there too. My coffee maker is running like new again. It was making this horrible sound along with not making any coffee. I thought I was going to have to throw it out, and buy a new one.
Your welcome Jessica, I can't tell you how rewarding it feels to get your positive feedback. :) It seems these machines work OK for a while and then after about two years (in our experience) we started to have issues. My Wife descaled the unit we had following the manual's instructions as many as six times to no avail whatsoever. I discovered the little valve (circular spring) gets black mildew buildup kind of like something you would see in a wet area (like a bathroom shower or bathtub). Glad you to hear you are up and running again! ☺
Thank you for your help. I tried descaling, didn’t work. I only use distilled water in it. Did what you suggested (minus the electric toothbrush) and yay!!!! Thank you for keeping me caffeinated without having to buy another machine. God bless you.

I told her I used distilled water and she said in that case no I didn't need to descale it. THANK YOU very much Journeyman!!!
Your more than welcome, it is great knowing I could be of help. Thanks for the feedback, it's great to hear when someone has got a "Fix!".
Kerrigan stopped brewing this AM. Found your video. Thanks for saving me from tossing out my machine! Your video was spot on. Took a few minutes, now running like new.
I love hearing this Dave, thanks for your kind feedback!
😊
Once you finish cleaning your machine please leave the top lid open so the vinegar smell can evaporate. If not, your coffee will test like vinegar
You saved my soul and life found this video late on a Saturday evening after ours broke! My wife would have killed me without her coffee! Your a true hero
You saved my Keurig from going into the trash. I've watched a few youtube videos and non that would help mine. My machine now works. You've made me very. Thank you!
Susan, Great news - Thank you for your kind feedback.
Happy Labor Day!
😊
Thanks for using the term "DESIGN FAILURE"!
FOLKS, don't use soap to descale your machines! Always use vinegar and run it through multiple times. Just a few cups. After that, fill the entire vessel with only water and run that through the machine. Do this at least twice a year if you're a daily user of these machines.
I bought the actual Keurig brand Descaling Kit. Does this solution have vinegar in it and or work good for cleaning it?
I don’t personally have experience with the descaling solution, but it looks like it’s composed of citric acid as the main ingredient
My pleasure, I am humbled by your creative, kind and thoughtful feedback. I'm really happy your Keurig is working again. Thank you so much! 😊
I tried several other suggested fixes, never would have thought this would have been the issue but your suggestion worked! Thanks very much for sharing!
Rick, Always a nice thing to hear feedback from others that have been helped. Thank you!
😊
I own the single cup Keurig, the water tank being only 1 inch high, with some dark residue on the inside of the tank over the small wire mesh filter. It was pumping slow, leaving about 1/8 inch of water still in the tank, then nothing. Had to lift the handle again and drop it to complete the process, then the whole cup came out. I flushed the inside with hot water (no soap) and also used the brush by hand for a few minutes on the inside, a little on the bottom ejection. Poured another cup of water into the tank and watched it pump faster with a full cup. Many thanks sir for your help.
Sounds like you have it fairly clean again, glad to hear it is working, thank you for the feedback!
😊
Threw my last Automatic coffee maker away 4 years ago. Now using an Electric Corning Perk from the 1970's. Still works like new.
I tried this, no luck for mine. But I still find your info invaluable, thank you! Easy enough first step in troubleshooting!!
You are welcome!
Thank you!
Great to hear, thank you!
Thank you for your great feedback it motivates me to look for more ways that I can help people keep their appliances working longer and better!
I have bought 4 new machine in the last three years ..seems they only work well anywhere between 3-8 months..😢
Thank you. Just saved me 60 plus dollars and i love my keurig again
Glad to hear it Ellen, thanks for your kind feedback!
😊
I had the same issues today with my Keurig. I was worried, that I had would have to replace this one, or would have to open up the machine. I did a RUclips search, and I found your video. I didn't have an electric toothbrush. I used an old regular toothbrush. I put a little dish soap on the toothbrush, and I scrubbed the area for a few minutes. I have ran my Keurig machine, a few times, and so far, it's working again like before. You are a genius! This really does work. Thanks for posting this video. 👍
Great to hear Mark, hank you for the feedback! ☺
You just saved me $200!!! We have this exact one in red and it’s AT LEAST 4yrs old. This worked like magic!! Thank you so much!!
Thanks for your kind feedback!
Elizabeth,
I'm impressed to see a Keurig that has been around that long.
Glad to help, thanks!
Just had this problem with ours. Your video saved us so much money. My wife wanted to tear down the machine like a mad scientist. Thank you!
Glad to hear you have your Keurig running again Scott and thank you for the feedback!
😊
Worked for me. I had watched the other vids and tried those suggestions. Didn’t expect this to work either cause I didn’t see anything on the valve. Used the toothbrush for cleaning, then also an Allen wrench to plunge the spring loaded valve a few times. I’ve got coffee now, thank you!
Glad it helped
Thank you SO much, my keurig almost had a new home with the local trash service! Now it makes a full cup of coffee again, you are wonderful!!!!
You are so welcome, your words and feedback are greatly appreciated!
It actually worked! Thanks! It was for the one at my job so I didn't have access to an electric toothbrush. I used the bristles of the bottle brush cleaner we have at the office and just scrubbed best I could. Again, thanks! Just saved my office from having to purchase a new one.
Lisa, of course it worked! I love my RUclips viewers and so happy you are making coffee again.
Thanks very much for your valued feedback!
😊
THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
A tired pediatric nurse who was missing her caffeine fix ♥️
Helping someone in your profession in your state is an honor for me! Thank you for your kind feedback!
😊
IT WORKED! thank you so much.
Kudos to you!👍
Sorry for your issues with your Keurig Nikki! Thank you for the feedback! ☺
Dear Faz,
I am so glad you took the time to share your "fix" and put your comment in, it makes me so happy to read these and even more to see that "the fix" was able to help someone else. happy holidays to you and yours!
Thank you so much for this video! Ours basically stopped pumping any water. I followed this video a couple of times and it now flows almost like new. We descaled as well and it worked most of the time. We have had our unit for 5 years so really are thankful it works at all... :) Thanks again!
You are welcome!
Perfect! That did the trick. I also used a can of compressed air (cause I happened to have such a thing) and blew out the receiver for that valve. We're back in business. Thanks a bunch!
I just watched this video and cleaned that valve at the bottom of the water tank! Success!! It’s making coffee again!! Thanks!
You are very welcome, thanks for your kind feedback. It helped us not having replace our Keurigs as often!
You are a keurig life saver. My final hope for this keurig before it went to keurig heaven. LOL It worked. YAY!!!
So glad to be of help. Thanks for your kind feedback! ☺
Best wishes
Diane,
So glad you have your Keurig up and running again. Thanks for the kind feedback. Merry Christmas!
😊
Had exactly the same problem, thanks for the tip. Thast why I come to RUclips when I need advice cause someone has already had the same issue that is bothering me. Thanks again, great video, short and to the point.
Thanks! We just bought a used keurig machine just like yours at goodwill for 6 bucks....took it home and it didnt work, but turns out that valve you show with spring was stuck, and it wouldnt pump water!! Fixed it and works great!
Thanks again
Thank you for the feedback, I hope you enjoy your Keurig!
😊
Can't wait to try this!! This is exactly the problem I was having with the same model! You, good sir, are a HERO! I love my Keurig, up til this point it had never failed me. Now I can get another few years out of it I bet. Thanks again!
I was.making 3 cups of coffee and I'm glad for this video 😊 thanks
You are a genius! I’ve been trying to solve this issue for five days ! Eureka ……… brushed out that spring valve and it’s as good as new. Many thanks
😊
Mine did the same exactly.
😂Nutty ?
👍 my Keurig started this tonight. Not surprised that RUclips had a fix. Thanks dom!
Glad to help
You're welcome, great to hear. Thanks for your kind feedback!
😊
Amazing fix! I was ready to buy a new machine, but your method worked after only a bit of cleaning. I used a regular toothbrush. Wow! Thank so much!
You're welcome!
Thanks so much for your great feedback TaraLaBelle. Glad to be of help. I can't live without my coffee either! ☺
It is just crazy, or an oversight, or a way to keep selling those machines....at any rate, this hack is a charm!
Same problem tried everything same as you did. Cleaned the water tank valve and BINGO. You are the man.
Thank you for the great feedback, glad you are working again!
Glad to hear you are up and running again. Thanks for your feedback! 😊
It's well worth it for great folks like you!
That absolutely fixed it!! The small screws were a pain in the a$$, but it’s putting out like new now!! Thank you!!
Glad to hear about your "Fix" Thank you!
Thank you!! Fixed in 10 secs!! Work in a dusty environment & that valve was just clogged!! BTW do NOT take these units completely apart!! Did that with our last one to replace heating unit & took forever & still didn't work properly.
Thanks for the feedback, yes they aren't made that well. I remember my first Keurig was mostly made of metal, glad you are back up and running!
Thank you, thank you! My husband has always taken our machine apart, but I thought I'd give your quick-fix a try. It worked!
Great to hear Nancy, appreciate your feedback!
Glad it helped!
Wow, i did everything and nothing worked. Did your fix and BANG it worked !!! Was going to go and buy a new one today. You saved me $$$$ Thank you for the fix
Ray, Glad to hear it! Every dollar saved is my motto...
Thanks for your feedback!
😊
Thank you so very much for that. I love my Keurig and I am the fool who has gone out and bought more than one because they quit working. I'm smart enough to have saved them so I will clean them all out now
No harm, no foul Vicky - we did the same thing. Thanks for stopping by and I hope your Keurig stays healthy for you!
Just had this same problem and your video was the first I watched. Took me a couple tries but after the second cleaning my Keurig is back to normal-THANK YOU!!
Your welcome - thanks for the feedback!
😊
Thank you, thank you! I used dish soap and a regular toothbrush; scrubbed it good and it works great.
Great Barbara, we tried descaling and it never worked!
😊
Thanks so much, this worked immediately after I tried your method ! Better than the other videos out there! Awesome fix, Keurig should pay you for helping all of us since there’s absolutely no video put out by them. I bet so many people just ran out and purchased new coffee machines! Maybe that’s the plan! Thanks again!
Glad it helped
For the longest time I’ve been needing to clean my keurig every 3 days... You litterally saved me my dude. Thank you!
You're welcome, great to hear. Thanks for your kind feedback!
😊
Hey Just did this treatment with a regular toothbrush and some Dawn dish soap. WORKS LIKE A CHAMP!!! Our model is an older one than your but the process was the same. Now enjoying a good cup of coffee again thanks to you. Best Wishes.
Thanks for the feedback!
thank you, I have never thought about cleaning the bottom like that.
THIS WORKED! THANKS FOR SAVING MONEY ON NOT BUYING A NEW ONE. P.s. i used my wifes electronic toothbrush and not mine so we are good.
Glad to hear it Marshall, save that money for something else!
😆😆😆
😂😂😂😂😂😂
haha
Worked for me! Thanks for the video.
Fixed daughters. Used a baster to blast through where spring is and toothpick to scrape gunk. Easy fix and saved buying a new Keurig. Thx!
Glad you are up and running again!
Worked perfectly, used this to fix my moms keurig that’s she’s had for almost 10 years:)
Thanks:)
Wow, ten years - that is great to hear. Glad to help, thanks for your feedback!
😊

OMG I was just about to spend 200+ on a new Keurig, BUT Thanks to you :) my Keurig is pumping again and it also is MUCH quieter I cant Thank You enough !!!!
You are quite welcome!
😊
Man I was JUST about to buy a new one. You also gotta make sure that it's ALWAYS full of water. Thanks!
Just went through your steps in cleaning the diaphragm...had my machine working like new in about 60 seconds. Thank you.
Glad it helped
I was about to purchase another coffee pot, specifically an old school one until I watched this video (As I happily write this review sipping my nice cup of coffee). Thank you! You fixed it!
Great to hear Darryl, appreciate your feedback too! ☺
Works perfectly now
I also cleaned the screen inside the reservoir with a small bottle brush with a little bit of dish soap and rinsed.
I hope it works for you!
@@Journeyman-Fixit -- Yes, it worked!! Thank you so much, I forgot to come back and comment, thanks for the reminder.
@@Nenezilla I am so glad you have your Keurig working again, I hope you have a great new year!
😊
@@Journeyman-Fixit You too!
I really didn't think any fix this simple was the answer, a quick brush, and its pumping water like new! Thanks
You're welcome!
Thank you
Glad you saved it, sorry for your issues!
@@Journeyman-Fixit hey its all good. Thank you for your help!
Also, do the same where the female valve is on the machine itself where the water tank/male valve makes contact. Mine was actually hanging up there. I had to blow a bit of air into it while depressing it. Works great again.
Glad to hear you have it working again!
Great to see that your are once again in operation. Your feedback is so appreciated!
😊
Thank you as I looked and mine had some orange bits in the spring.
so grateful for this video! did the paper clip trick and the toothbrush cleaning and now i have a working keurig! gotta love youtube
I am glad your Keurig is working again Justin!
Thanks for leaving feedback...
😊
Great! Was just about to completely open mine and investigate the same problem, will try to go this route and see if it fixes it this way. Way to go and thank you!!!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback Ed! Great meeting folks on RUclips and sharing videos. Hope you are back up and running ASAP!
Same here gonna try this also and thanks for sharing
Yep! That worked-easy fix. Used an old traditional toothbrush. From 3-4oz back to a full cup on one try. Thanks!!!!
You're welcome, thanks for leaving feedback!
It seems these machines work OK for a while and then after about two years (in our experience) we started to have issues.
Glad it helped Sharmaine - so appreciate the feedback!
@@Journeyman-Fixit you are most welcome. Myself, along with many others, truly appreciated it when we came across your video. Blessings.
