I’ve had this watch for 1 year and I have put this watch through hell: sawdust , concrete, salt water, mud, glues, occasional impacts. This thing fears nothing, hell of a watch. You won’t regret it. The sapphire crystal is legit.

Casio makes watches that allow for a 40-minute tutorial. That's impressive.

Easily ... they make watches that require 40 minute videos easily .
Buy a Seiko or other mechanical watch and take ten minutes to set it up!
Yet come with instructions bigger then the bible!

I had a tough time deciding between the mudmaster and the gulfmaster, ultimately going with the mudmaster since my work is mostly terrestrial..as my first g-shock, I love the watch and your videos really helped me in learning how to operate it.. thanks man.
I was looking at gulfmaster or even the frogman but sadly they don't come with tough solar. Very strange
This watch will be my next planned purchase. After the Rangeman (which I now possess in two versions, once the standard GW-9400 and the red one GW-9400RD)
Your tutorials are very helpful in making a purchase decision. Funny how the hands of the clock move independently. Something knows not at all of normal analog clocks running purely mechanical. Can not wait for the second part to come. Thumbs up! ;)
I have gw9400 and just get gwg1000 today. Absolutely cracking watch. I loved it. You wouldn't be disappointed.

I have this exact watch but with the yellow band. It’s an incredible watch and my favorite G-Shock.
In 23 minutes I have learned more about this watch than in the delivered manual. Thx for this!!! Now I am wearing the watch again!!!
Brilliant tutorial...you sorted my mental state from going into Man Rage until followed you word for word...Love this watch use it for Mountain biking and hopefully will outlast the three I have destroyed by drowning smashing into trees and rocks...Thanks.

I got the new 2000 and it is really impressive, thanks for the great instructional videos and the head to head shoot out with the 1000, I will say that I'm glad I got 2000 the fact that the watch is slightly smaller and more muted makes the watch feel appropriate for wearing a suits. I love the watch and I made the purchase because of your review. Feels like a very expensive watch.

I have had G-Shocks and Pro Treks since 1985 when I started SCUBA. After learning how to operate the first watch the others have always been intuitive. The GWG 1000, however, is not intuitive. This video is a great tutorial. Thank you for making the operation of this watch so clear and understandable.

When I ordered my GWG-1000JA3, I had no idea the J meant Japanese, and I almost turned my pants brown because I couldn't read the Japanese in the manual. This video saved my watch and made me into a new collector. Thank you!
Recently purchased the GWG-2000 and Part 1 plus Part 2 of these tutorial videos are a great help, thanks! Had a real tough time deciding between the 1000 and 2000, as both are uniquely looking in their own right with the awesome more classic, more military look of the 1000 and the slightly refined high-tech look of the 2000. Maybe one day I'll the 1000 as well.

Just collected mine today being my birthday. Sitting going through your video and hey presto noticed the date is exactly the same. 1.23 (apart from the year being out by 1 lol) was also crapped on by a bird earlier today so definitely buying a lotto ticket. Have had this watch for years now and pretty much knew how to use it, but it's an excellent refresher course! Only a minor thing but on showing the 'hands shift' function at the end, you say they remain shifted for 60 minutes - they actually only shift for about 10 seconds...

Its a beautiful watch indeed and very reliable, yet, I sold mine since its a style over substance watch. The new Rangeman is a much superior watch.
@@MrCarpen7er I have the new Rangeman. I just don't like the crown on the new Rangeman that much. It is a bit hard to make a precious turn. Hope the next revision can solve this issue.

I've owned this exact same model for over a year now. And I still find myself going to this video if I need to reset a few things on the watch!

A massive thank you for this video. The reference book supplied is for my purposes quite useless given a poor memory and flipping between pages, for instance for the manual recall function (all in the smallest type size). A fantastic job, and I have learnt so much and have not even finished the video....

Ok, I just got my GWG repaired by Casio - the Smart Crown pulled out of the watch body, which meant that it wouldn't operate properly as it would not register the button being pushed back in. Casio Service UK replaced the part free of charge. Impressed.

I’ve watched your videos on Casio watches, bought several ( prw -2500 x 3 ) based upon your thoughts, opinion.
I did some detailed homework before purchasing in every case!
It started with buying my dad a g-shock for his birthday, treated myself to a GWG 1000 in the process!
I agree with your comments as it’s a tractor tyre for the 1000, & just recently bought a 2000 second hand in great condition.
The only thing about the 2k I like like is the light, buttons are easier to push, lcd display being better in the daytime.
Other than that, the tractor tyre wins in ruggedness.
My 1k is the 1a3, which I have modded with a GWG 1K GB resin bezel & 1a/9a strap ( owned since new ) 2k is 1a1 which I’ll sell. It’s nice, buy in my opinion you can’t beat the original!
