I always thought that watch was over expensive, but having now seen this video, i can understand why it cost that much. The attention to detail and quality of parts seem very good. A really interesting video.
This was an outstanding video. I have no intention of ever trying to disassemble my GWG-2000, but to watch you do it, and to wonder at how you KNOW how to do it, is terrific. Thank you.
The technology and machinery on these g shocks is amazing to me, and way better than most of swiss mechanical watchs which will cost couple thousands more.
That's because they're meant for different purpose, they buy a Patek because they're an art form. Can't say the same about some G-Shock models. But they're high tech beasts on the wrist
First I agree that a Patek is a different animal with different priorities. Cost aside it still would not survive what you can do to a G-Shock, but it represents perfection of an art form. But even within their own price range, I've found G's to be very carefully designed for durability. I also had a carbon fiber Luminox, which bills itself as a military grade watch, but when I opened it to replace a battery, it was essentially a Ronda movement suspended in a very typical way. None of the layers of protection you see in a GShock.
IMHO the Mudmaster should've been full titanium body with screw back, similar to the Frogman models. At this price point I want Casio to make them uncompromisingly though like the old screw back square G - Shocks. It might drive the Mudmaster's price a bit, but it will be so worth it. It will be right up there with the GWF - D1000 Frogman.
Since the production and upload of this video, this limited camo version has gone up crazy in price. Just now, mid October 2020, I saw it on Amazon for $2500 new. I truly and very much appreciate this video and the awesome insight that comes along with it. At the same time it hurts to see this limited Mudmaster dismantled like this. But any Mudmaster really.
Very cool video. I would NEVER try to do this BUT I am glad you have the skill, tools and knowledge to do so. As a result of your videos, I have a greater appreciation for my MudMaster as well as my other Casio watches. I have 2 Frogman Casio, the Pro Trek and the Rangeman GPR 81000..very well done video and extremely interesting...thank you gshock
I disected a fake GG1000 which was a perfect replica from the outside...all functions were working also. The first difference is the screws on the strap, they were not even threaded and just hold via friction...they also dont have gaskets. The second major difference is the battery, the fake uses a single CR2025, the original has two smaller batteries...then the buttons were crap on the fake...they corroded when subjected to moisture... there was also not much of a gasket on the buttons... the glass was also a clear plastic on the fake...

Cool demonstration. One of my best purchases ever. Something that I wear 2/3 of the year. Absolute tank of a watch. Going to order a new bezel and watch band to have a little variation for it. Although I love the Hunter Green color I have.
There has to be a weak point on the band for safety reasons. If you get your wrist caught or the watch band caught on something moving or rotating, you really want to have a breakaway feature. So I understand why they did that with the buckle it self. Great video sir, and I subscribe. I could never do this watch justice in a video on my channel the way you do. Outstanding video sir.
I've been using mine as a daily for 5 years. That weak point on the band has just failed. And that was my first thought. Engineered failure point. Easily replaceable part away from the main body.

Hey ... I know this is a couple of year late but ... when you reassemble a watch, do you clean the components? If so, with what? This was really interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Hello - I am asking for advice - I wanted to replace the bezel in my 4-year-old GWG and clean it. After removing the bezel, the plate with holes protecting the sensor was very dirty, so I unscrewed it and cleaned it. Rather, I correctly attached the round bezel to the sensor and screwed on both plates. Then I sealed the plate with the sensor hole with a piece of insulating tape and started cleaning the clock with a soft brush with a little water and soap. After washing and drying the watch, I peeled off the insulating tape under which it was dry so no water got into the sensor. However, when checking it, it turned out that after turning on the barometer, thermometer and altimeter, an error appears. I thought that maybe I screwed the badges on the sensor wrong, but trying again did not help. The sensor itself was not moved, only after removing the plates it was dry - inside it is like a sponge or a membrane that was wet, maybe drying it caused, or maybe sticking the plate with the holes with tape. Maybe it is possible to reset the watch by removing the battery. I would rather not do it myself, and maybe there is some other way - thank you in advance for any tip.

For all the screws and pins in the straps ... if the single spring bar in the buckle fails, you drop the watch. Should have been a continuous buckle ... what were they thinking?
You need a break point on a watch for safety purposes. Just in case it got stuck somewhere. Often times they choose the buckle which is the cheapest to fix/replace. Regardless, when you wrap the watch on wrist, it integrated together better thus stronger
There are a few reports of sticky buttons and moisture getting in this model. Is it a common problem with the model? Or is it happening to those users who purposely abuse the watch. The gwg 1000, 2000 and B 1000 are on my shortlist so want to check before I pull the trigger. My use case would be wearing the watch 24x7 all year round and I just use 1 watch. Glad to know this was helpful, thank you very much for watching!. About watch parts, I usually bought a used model for cheap and scrap for parts instead of getting a new parts. Casio will charge you quite a lot for any interior parts especially the engine, might go around 100-150usd even if they have it in stock. 😬🙏🙏

I have the Casio Mudmaster gwg 1000 1a3 triple sensor, unfortunately the crown is broken and the warranty period is over 😥. any idea where i can buy the crown only please ?
The watch hands after hand adjust stop at 5:50 and not 12.00 also the mode hand is out by 2 marks, so the analogue and digital are out by 6 hours 10 mins and the mode hand never shows end correct mode. I’ve tried everything to correct it, any suggestions or is it gong to need a new module ?
Are the sensor elements “inside” the watch case or are they “ External” to the case with a ribbon pass through? In other words are the active functional pressure altimeter element parts directly in fluid intimate contact with the inside or outside of the watch. I know that if inside they may still function. Due to minor volumetric changes in air pressure with the watches sufficient volume. I am wondering due to determining if the triple or Quad sensor would be able to be Hydro-Mod filled. Thank you for your great videos!! Well done!
Water can't get inside, even when the sensor is somewhat placed outside the case..they shouldn't be leaking out as well, logically. With all the gasket placed on every button connections & around the sensor cover.
My watch works and functions (keeps time) as it should, except for the mode and alt buttons, they for some reason are not responding, i asked a local watch repairman what the issue is, he says it's a $80 dollar fix....Can I fix the problem myself ?
Honestly i doubt that you can fix it by your self. Probably some part is broken and it needs to be replaced. Considering that this watch is 500 usd/eur i recomend that you give it to profesional watch mechanic to fix it.
Hey man.. i did everything just like u said.. but when in the end i get ERR when trying to use baro temo alti.. can u help me plz.. i dont want to lose my mudmaster .. thank you
Send it away is easier. Any watch made by Casio these days that has barometer function, share the same exact sensor. So looking for donor parts shouldn't be as expensive
really nice one, while i wonder how to remove the strap/band on gba-800, maybe later you can show us, as it has new style of strap then other gshock.... thanks man
Depends on how you’ll be using it afterwards. If it is really your concern I would advise for you to apply some silocone grease. That would make the watch much better at WR than brand new.
Owned one of these for three years, and worn it more or less everyday - needless to say I am a big fan, and loved this video!

Fantastic video. Thank you 😊
Thanks great to see all that.
You’re welcome!
The watch is very good, reliable like a tank Joseph Stalin, thanks to the author for the work done. From Russia with love.
Great video, super image, thank you.
With all the gasket placed on every button connections & around the sensor cover.
gshock highfashion thank you! If you had a choice between the quad or triple sensor variant, for size and overall use, which variant would you pick?
Love your video. Thanks for sharing this video
You’re welcome! Glad to always see your comments.
Do you think that mudmaster engine can fit the case of gravity master?
My watch works and functions (keeps time) as it should, except for the mode and alt buttons, they for some reason are not responding, i asked a local watch repairman what the issue is, he says it's a $80 dollar fix....Can I fix the problem myself ?
Honestly i doubt that you can fix it by your self. Probably some part is broken and it needs to be replaced. Considering that this watch is 500 usd/eur i recomend that you give it to profesional watch mechanic to fix it.
Hey man.. i did everything just like u said.. but when in the end i get ERR when trying to use baro temo alti.. can u help me plz.. i dont want to lose my mudmaster .. thank you
Love your work & thanks for sharing (obviously not worried about your warranty 🤔👍)
Cheers 🍻
Ps: is the Gulfmaster next?
I don’t think this would affect the warranty. The warranty is already expired anyway. I’m good.
gshock highfashion I think by now, you could be an Authorised repairer!!👍
I damaged the triple sensor while cleaning my watch. Where can I order just the new sensor or do I need to send it to casio?
Send it away is easier. Any watch made by Casio these days that has barometer function, share the same exact sensor. So looking for donor parts shouldn't be as expensive
Hello.
Is it OK to push buttons under the water please?
Regards.
really nice one, while i wonder how to remove the strap/band on gba-800, maybe later you can show us, as it has new style of strap then other gshock.... thanks man
sorry did not mean to downvote :( excellent video :) keep them coming
Thanks for watching!
Does the new gwg2000 have Alpha gel? It doesn’t say vibration resistant
How do you water seal it like by just reassemble the watch and it would be 200m water resistan again?
Depends on how you’ll be using it afterwards. If it is really your concern I would advise for you to apply some silocone grease. That would make the watch much better at WR than brand new.
Is the glass of gg-b100 and this watch the same size?
Is this Mudmaster (or GWG 2000) still water resistant with the crown screwed (not pulled) out?
Did you put it all back together afterwards, and did it still work?
Yes sir I did and of course you it work just fine up to this day. Here is the video: ruclips.net/video/yCysfXwdDTo/видео.html
.... excellent video... subbed!
