@@ZimbrickEuropean I'm looking for Mercedes Benz GLE 43 OR GLC 300 COUP'E PRICE PLEASE MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP IN UNION NJ SAID THEY DONT HAVE ANYMORE GLE 43 OR THEY DISCONTINUED IT SO IT'S A 53 NOW PRICE PLEASE ON BOTH IM CAR SHOPPING
I purchased my first Mercedes this spring, a GLC 43 AMG. As a lifelong and very loyal Lexus buyer, I was a bit reluctant to make the leap. But a friend of mine surprised everyone when he purchased his "retirement" car - an AMG E 63 S - at the bargain price of just $140,000. When you're buying at that end of the market, Mercedes throws in a free into course at the AMG RACING SCHOOL, and he thought it was about the most fun he'd ever had with this clothes on! After shopping quite a bit, and trying to figure out the Mercedes Line (which is no small feat), I settled on the AMG 43. I really, REALLY, like this car and could go on-and-on, but let me limit myself to these key points: 1. The power and drive train in this thing is off-the-hook. 375 hp, 374 ft lb torque, it is just a SCREAMER. Plus the AMG smart suspension is technology that comes right out of the F1 program and it's just stunning how versatile, smart and useful it is. 2. The GLC 43 is 4 inches shorter than my Lexus RX 350, which doesn't sound like much. But I love this more compact size. It fits in my garage better, its a bit easier to park, but mainly it's got an "agile" / sporty feel to it that's just darn fun to drive. 3. Be sure you get the MBUX system, whatever Mercedes you might buy. This is the Mercedes User Experience Infotainment System, and it is a winner. It is new for 2020, so beware if you're buying a used model (which I'm a big fan of) that you will be sacrificing a significant technology upgrade. One of the comments below said Mercedes had "saved his life" more than once. Well... on Halloween I just went out to get a couple bags of Candy in case any of the kids were trick-or-treating, and there was a HUGE accident in front of me. This drunk plowed head-long into two stopped vehicles that were turning left, and accelerated to try to flee the scene - driving the whole pile into my lane. I had the car in SPORT mode (see #1 above), which may have saved my life. My only option to clear the oncoming mass was to PUNCH IT, and I had enough torque to get past the guy by barely an inch. (It was so close that I blurted a gleeful OH MY GOD! when I realized there would be no actual collision). But avoidance move put me barreling towards a brick wall at (say) 60mph, requiring a ridiculous brake-swerve-swerve maneuver that I thought, for sure, would tip over the car. No problem! I went up-and-over a city curb and did $5,000 damage to the rims and the front suspension - but if I'd been in my wife's MINI I would have been sandwiched between his Pickup truck Bumper and the Telephone Pole that he cracked when he smashed into it. The torque and the unbelievable 4Matic Suspension saved my butt not once, but twice! IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are considering and AMG model, they have a much, much stiffer ride than a traditional SUV. This is a race-tuned car and is a different animal than your average family car. You guy buy this and find yourself in a situation where you love it - but your spouse hates it!\ Also noteworthy... while my car was in the shop for 2 mos, I drove a GLB 250. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Really comfortable, the ride is more traditional but not sloppy. Nice and peppy off the line (it's no AMG, but then... what is?), and I was really impressed with the transmission. We live in the Seattle area and I drove it up to Snoqualmie Pass, which means you go from sea level to over 3,000 feet in about 40 miles. This is where most 4 cylinder engines become a pain-in-the-ass, because they constantly shifting into low to handle the additional load. Not so with the GLB. Whatever shifting was taking place was smooth and seamless making the the ride-up-the-big-hill just as pleasant as a trip to COSTCO. Again, this is where Mercedes engineering shines this was definitely a step ahead of my Lexus RX. Sorry for the long post. I don't know how this happens? I was just going to say a few words. Anyway... thanks for the nice overview of the Mercedes Line. I was just promoting the GLB to a friend of mine (who got hit by some other drunk) and I'll pass this along to her.
Thank you so much for this detailed comment. So glad you are safe after that frightening encounter. I also had to comment because I'm just about to make a big step and get a new car (just had a baby and life with carseats begins!) I am also an extremely loyal Lexus fan, had 2 cars from them since 2014 (currently drive an RC 350- adore it, but a NIGHTMARE with a carseat) and I'm finding it hard to turn my back on them. I thought if I had to, I should either go to Mercedes or BMW. I've driven cars from both in the past and I have to say Mercedes feels best. As great as they are, I feel a bit bored with the Lexus style especially the interior (although there are some changes in the upcoming new '22 NX and RX models). So not to ramble further, are you happy with you conversion from lexus to mercedes? Would you advise me to do this in my current situation? Is everything from the driving to the service as smooth and hassle free as lexus?
@mrpotter315 - I was looking at buying a GLB 250 until I test drove one and walked away unimpressed with the vehicle. This car is far from a real luxury car for many reasons, the seats too small and uncomfortable as well there is lack of space and legroom since the center console is too wide. The car drove poorly especially over small bumps which were felt and made the car jittery and felt unpleasant - the steering is weird not luxury at all and the overall look and feel of the cabin also looks too glim and glam like some silly disco light show - no thanks
I checked out the G Wagon, the price tag is up there but it is one darn good vehicle. That G Wagon is built like tank big time. Which is not a bad a bad thing. But as far as maintenance I am guessing it will be too dollar. I would love to see where that tank can actually go and where it can't go. I am Army vet and tested the UNIMOG 417 for the Army and MB representatives along with some Brass that was there. They asked me how I liked it ? I told them it sucked . I told them that I can dig deeper and faster and go places with my J.D. 410 backhoe than this thing.

How do you like it. Do you like it better then the x3. I just got a x3 as well. And I was thinking it's to small for me. I'm use to the big body X5. I was thinking of trading it into. What u think?
@@sophalawson6337 … Well, as for ride quality, I like the ride quality of the GLC better than the X3. The GLC is geared more towards comfort, which is what I prefer. The X3 and the GLC has similar interior dimensions, although the GLC somehow looks bigger than the X3, but it’s not. If you feel cramped in the X3, you might feel the same with the GLC. If that’s the case, you may look into the GLE.
i spent 3 weeks going through bmw and audi suvs videos and building models. but having a well done video i think i am going to get a Mercedes. Very detailed and thanks for taking the time to actually show people the cars since dealers almost always don't have them available for show/drive sessions.
The GLE 350 is better for me. I prefer 4cylinder and like that it has the Fontaine unit in the dash and not stinking out. The GLE 350 has the style similar to what I have now a 2021 luxury crossover. Yep in couple of years will get a GLE 350 in polar white, with d Spare tire, and I don’t want a sun roof, and it’s a 4cylinder. Will have this on my next purchase soon.
I like my GLE 350 but I will be trading up to the GLE 450 I would be happy with Warp speed . The GLE AMG would be fun but I don't want Trans Warp drive it would cause me a few speeding tickets 😁

Great video as Benz designations had been a mystery to me for years. My wife is really liking the look of the GLE350, but as a loyal Subaru owner she is a bit apprehensive giving up the "Mom Mobile" with her full time AWD. She is about 5'1 so seeing over the hood is always a concern for her and why we had to ditch her Pathdfinder. Hope to take her for a test drive soon and see if she likes it. Thanks for making a great video!!!
