I bought a CLA250, 4matic with the AMG sport package in Jan. of this year. It’s a 2015 CPO and had just over 33k on it. So far, it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Amazing pick-up, very good on gas and just an incredible vehicle for the money. My only real complaint is the ride is a little stiff so, on bad roads you feel every bump however, put it on some smooth pavement and it rides like it’s on a cloud. I’ve owned Lexus and while it is a good car, it’s no Mercedes. I’m a Mercedes Benz driver for the rest of my life.
Congrats. After our first Merc, a 2005 6 speed C Coupe purchased new, now my wife and I have two of them; she has a magnificent E class and I have one of the very rare late model 6 speed manual SLKs, a 2014. They are just magnificent cars.
If you dont have the money dont buy it. A Toyota or a honda is the car for you. A little cheaper to maintain and less breakdowns. Im not saying they dont break at all. Just way less.
@@WillieArmerOfficial yeah ive seen used 25 thousand dollar bmws and Mercedes breaking down in such bad ways it made the car almost worthless in a split second. 20 thousand bucks gone in a second. That blue C300 is gorgeous. Even though these newer automatics are super quick shifting and super fuel efficient, I’d love a three pedal version, especially in the coupe. So much fun rowing gears in a boosted four banger.
Agree, and in the states I’m seeing a ton of W205 zipping around as the resale makes them accessible now. I actually picked up a 2018 C300 Cabriolet as CPO earlier this year. Just make sure it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, still boggles my mind that package wasn’t standard in the W205.
I have a E-Class this car cost as much as a Accord to maintain 🤷🏾♂️ now if you go to Mercedes for repairs it's definitely expensive. But if you learn a bit about the car it's really really easy to maintain. Also don't use the 10k mile oil change interval. 7k or 5k for spirited drivers and if you are just hard on cars definitely 3k miles. Also change the trans fluid regularly and ahead of schedule. Never go below a quarter tank to preserve the fuel pump. Also if you live on the East coast in snowy areas, consider the Nokian WR G4 they are All Weather tires not All Season. I've been up to 130mph, no issues. If you swap Summer/Winter cool. I prefer these over the Continental DWS06. I haven't tried the plus yet but from what I've read the DWS is still a really soft tire. These are slightly firmer. They do seem to last a bit longer too even though they have the same rating.
I know have a set of DWS06 Plus. Night and Day difference, these tires are as grippy as summer tires for normal driving especially good in the wet compared to the Nokian WRG4. These have a AA traction rating, the Nokians have a A traction rating and don't have sizes bigger than 245/40 in 18in. My rears are 265/35 18. Grip is no issue in the wet and my car is RWD only. Planning to swap to Michelin AS4 for winter.
If you buy a Mercedes that doesn’t have four wheel drive, then fitting winter tyres is essential. Without them, driving in snow or ice is dangerous. I believe that all new cars sold in Germany have winter tyres fitted as standard. So I was told anyway .
I always feel bad for such beautiful cars where dealers don't put up a cover to protect it from snow & rain. Perhaps they only care about sale numbers and not for the cars itself.

The black on black 4matic E class was 650 a month. Ouch.

The C class is stylish but a bit too small and I don’t want a turbo. I’m in love with the E class with its nimble size and sexy styling plus the engine is peppy and economical. The S class is definitely classic if you want a looker and a bit more maintenance but it is more luxurious. If I wanted an SUV it would have to be the GL since I am used to more space and hauling capacity. I am the oldest of five sons and my mom had her first Suburban in 1975. Came in handy hauling us around with our friends to school and sports practice. When she went to her assisted living apartment I started driving her last SUV which is an excellent GMC Yukon. It’s a very comfortable and well built vehicle but not a Mercedes. Been driving Cadillacs since 1970 and Mercedes since 1980. Love them both! 😎

Unless you put a lot of miles on a car a warranty on a used car is not important. I bought a 5-year-old Mercedies and it already was out of warranty, so you get a 3- or 4-year-old used car you may only have 1 or 2 years of warranty. There is some sweet spot millage on and planned millage added during warranty, it has 50K and I plan to put 30K on it the year and a half of remaining warranty, I see it. I would prefer an out of warranty car with 22K like I got and I planned to add under 10K to that if I had a theoretical year and a half left on the warranty. That year and a half is up for me and I put a lot less than 10K on the car, nothing broke as expected for such a low millage and relatively young vehicle. The vehicle a year younger with warranty (not much more than a year) had more milage and were $5000 more, and to get another year or warranty it would be another $5000, it might have had less millage.
I own a lexus NX and i absolutely love it, but i do like the mercedes E class and will probably look at a 2 to 3 year old e class for our next vehicle, or another lexus , we are not sure at this stage.
Yeah, Lexus tends to be very conservative re the interior and performance. My last car was the Lexus CT200. Loved it but lacking in acceleration (hybrid..expected) but smooth and stiff handling which I loved in traffic and hwy turns. Considering now the Mercedes C300 and BMW 330i or 340i.
I got one of those for a loaner from MB .... CLA 250 .... I did not like them... I had to take my right boot off because my foot did not fit between the brake and the console tunnel..... A size 12 ???? it was noisy slow and cramped inside.... but it sure looked good.... When I got my ML350 back from the dealer andf gave back the loaner cla 250 it was a relief.... the ML350 bluetec was quieter, more comfortable, way more roomier, quite a bit faster, more versitile, way way more powerful, just far superior even though it was an SUV or considered a light truck..... But what the heck I got to drive a Cla250 for couple days for free and I loved it when I first saw it and after a couple days of driving it I did not like it anymore.... LOL... And I sure totally detest that golf cart option that shuts the engine off at traffic lights.... and stopping... So for what MB has to offer is the low dog of the high end Benzes.... and it sucks for a MB...
Awd is the way to go. Mercedes lose so much money used so makes it good value for people who know about them and can fix them when the regular issues come about. Don't like the firm seats and most have a harder ride compared to say lexus which is gold in the NVH category.
Once again a thorough report of the value and the differences in the recent higher Mercedes Benz models with performance luxury and all wheel drive Thank you 😊 brilliant And congratulations

Thanks for the video. Just one question, why go for a C class coupe when there is the sedan version? You have more space in the back, people in the back can easily access.
You can’t get a C Class 2018 for 20k US they are in the mid to high 30s maybe if you lucky you can find a 4 cylinder for high 20s US, E classes are everywhere now

Mb tried so hard to get me out my 212 and when I found out it was a 4 cylinder I walked away from the deal and kept my e class.
That was very helpful!!! Thank You 😊
Could you make a video about the best/reliable AMG cars next video?
I can speak to that
I got one of those for a loaner from MB ....
You're the bomb, thanx
Thanks so much for the info !
You are welcome
Very informative! Thank you
You are most welcome
Awd is the way to go. Mercedes lose so much money used so makes it good value for people who know about them and can fix them when the regular issues come about. Don't like the firm seats and most have a harder ride compared to say lexus which is gold in the NVH category.
Thanks for sharing
You forgot the best part of c300; the heat vents ,sounds crazy but I can’t get over the thought they put into something nobody thinks about
What’s it about the vent details?
Once again a thorough report of the value and the differences in the recent higher Mercedes Benz models with performance luxury and all wheel drive
Thank you 😊 brilliant
And congratulations
Really interested in a A-Class/ E-Class because of the Ambient lights not sure on if their reliable though.
E class are in the middle but do your research, and dont buy a 4-cylinder. I have an E350 luxury 6cylinder I'm totally in love with mine.
Got the A180 amg line love it great car
@@janetpinkpoodle3946 why don’t buy a 4 cylinder?
hi. what's your thoughts on W204 C250. thinking to buy for my weekend use, im 53 years old. thanks
I'm looking at a 2014 glk 350 with one owner and has 51 thousand miles. Are this motor reliable? Appreciate if you reply thanks
This is like asking should I buy a suburban when gas is $4 a gallon
Used Mercedes C300 or BMW 330i??
My last car was a Lexus CT200. Great hybrid but open to change.
Both are a bit of a risk, but my money goes to the Benz, I bought a C300 coupe for my wife
I have a 2018 Mercedes’ Benz c300 4matic with amg package currently I have put 72,000miles on it no issues just regular service of course expensive I’m due for service in about 2000miles lol 😂 but runs good 👍🏾
Cool

Hi is Mercedes’ GLC 250 274 2.0 petrol 2016 reliable?
I should’ve watched this before I purchased mines
Thanks for the video.
Just one question, why go for a C class coupe when there is the sedan version? You have more space in the back, people in the back can easily access.
2015 GLK350 with 149 miles for 26k USD. Good value?
Yes, but be happy with service records
@@ECPP is it expensive to maintain
You can’t get a C Class 2018 for 20k US they are in the mid to high 30s maybe if you lucky you can find a 4 cylinder for high 20s US, E classes are everywhere now
True idk wtf this man is taking about their still 28k minimum with crashes
I got a gla 180 and it’s sooooo good
Nice
ASSUMING you take very good care of them while they still are under warranty...will Mercedes just start breaking randomly after that 4-6-7 year mark?. (Major breakdowns)
I bought a 2011 450 gl with 150 k miles
Car fax said plugs changed at 75 k miles.. brake fluid changed at 85 miles..
I changed two front airmatic struts
Only 1200 for both..
Any items i should be checking.. i only drive 4500 miles a year.
Is it necessary to change plugs again?
Thanks
Do a video on mercedes benz GLC 63 coupe 2020 or 2019
Why do people call the Mercedes emblem a three pointed star? It’s a propeller!!!!
I’m looking at buying a 2015 E400 Coupe. It’s got 30.000 miles, I drive an average of 5.000 miles a year. It has the M276 turbo engine. Would you say it’s a reliable car that would just need regular maintenance or would there be a lot of other issues that come up? I’m currently driving a 2013 Audi TTS roadster which I’ve had from new and it’s been great but I miss driving a larger car
Most of these Mercs are automatic, can we get manual Mercs ? Please make a video about Manual gear Mercedes available ..
Thanks for this video.
Not many for sure
The older SLKs have manual 6 speeds.
Hey man, was wondering where you get your cars
Love Mercedes Benz
Cheers
Mercedes stopped making decent cars in the 90s.... After the 140 and 124 it was all downhill.
Cheers
Hi,Your opinion is important to me!!!What do you think about F01 740i N55 Thinking to buy one for my Wife? Thank you in advance.
Good choice except the 740i would have the B58 turbo 6 which is an even better engine than the N55 in my opinion.
@@ECPP I like your videos thank you for your feedback. Merry Christmas good bless you and your family!!!
What C300 2006 model how get it. Thanks
