Good, honest picks in the "cheap luxury" category. The maintenance costs are why most of them go for so little. Also did not realize the CLA was front wheel drive. Shocked Mercedes would go that route.
But see that comes with keeping up the Maintenance on them over time, when keeping up the maintenance, you wouldn't have to pay such a High price for damage repairs, this goes for any car off any lot

I am not car expert or dealer however I always purchase used cars and do my own maintenance. I purchased 2017 Maserati Ghibli Sq4 two years ago and only money I put into it was oil change and filter. I agree with depreciation but it’s great for people like us. Also I use mine as a daily driver and took it on few out of state trips. Ive owned a lot of cars over the years. My most memorable test drives, were, a BMW 3 series, that broke down on the test drive, the owner sitting next to me, knew exactly what to shake rattle and turned the key again and it fired right up again... funny... I walked away. I test drove a Porsche 911, the passenger compartment filled with smoke, burning oil smell... I rolled my window draw, as did the owner in the passenger seat, I asked him 'what about the smoke'...? he said "what smoke", I said "yea"... drove it back and walked away. Lesson... STAY AWAY from German cars. unless they have a full warranty, and you have a good spare car.
@Matthew Aniston MOST of the time, a 3 year old BMW will cost more to repair than its worth, Mercedes also. This is very common problem. This is why you don't see 10 year old Mercedes, or BMWs driving around, look close you will se a lot of Honda's and Toyota Camrys.. 10 15 years old.

I have a Maserati Ghibli SQ4 and the car has been awesome with 60K miles and it is a everyday driver and never had a problem but I do keep up on maintenance on the car. That is the problem with other owners. They do not keep up on maintenance. The mechanic that works on my car is from Italy and says they are a good car.
A friend lent me his Maserati Grand Tursimo for almost a year and that is a beautiful car. But maintenance is just plain ridiculous. Too many things can go wrong. A lot of plastic parts inside felt really cheap and some broke off. Plastic decorations on the exterior broke easily. Parts were ridiculously expensive to replace. Used ones don't hold much value. But it looks beautiful and that engine noise is the stuff of legend. I had an older model and there was a noticeable lag when you floored it before the power kicked in. Definitely enjoyed my time with it.
Aegina's Blog Yup correct. Import duty is hella expensive here. They did this to protect 2 major local brand. If they build with the quality of Toyota or Honda it’ justifiable but here, they build a shit car. It’s all money and politic.
If you want luxury car without super high maintenance look into Lexus or some specific Audi models ex. Their 2.0T engines are solid & there TDI engine are reliable and parts aren’t relatively too expansive compared to Benz or bmw
Yea I think Audi may be a little safer than bmw or Mercedes, a friend of mine has a 2014 A4 and hasn’t had many issues it just burns a little oil every now and then but other than that he’s been happy with the car.
I never thought I would own a Chrysler thinking back to the one my family had in the 70's and the k car era. But now having owned and still have my 2nd 300C(2006 and 2011) I have been very happy with it. No major issues thus far and with the MDS engine the fuel mileage has been good. I am on the road alot for work and has been my office on wheels. I have test drove a V6 version and eventhough it had the pickup, the Hemi is what hooked me to the vehicle.
@@Zergcerebrates You and @mohammed both got out of them before the maintenance factors set in. Smart. Italian Car Parts are cheap ........ in Italy. Not in America.

I picked up my Maserati ghilbli for $35,000 2 years ago with 12 thousand miles on it. The original price was around $100,000 in 2014. 13 thousand miles later no major problems and she still runs great.
It's always a great buy if you know how to fix on cars. And it's always a lot cheaper if you know how to buy after market parts that's equal as good or better than the original parts that's come on the car.
What's worse is the owner getting a repair estimate for $4k, so they take it to an independent and tell them do the bare minimum so they can sell it. Sure any person can do this to any car, but thinking you saved $10k on a nice luxury car will have you spending double that in the next 3 yrs... and I have second hand experience with this.
My Father picked up a 2017 Ghibli six months ago, we put over 4K miles on it and it’s running like a clock. Fingers crossed it stays that way... who am I kidding it won’t🙃
Got a ‘15 Genie 3.8 coupe a few years ago. Regular maintenance, no problems. And it dusts ever other “common” sports car on the road (except for GTRs and neck & neck with 370s). Interior and exterior still turns heads for me 😌
In a way, Mercedes makes too many models. It's hard to keep track of them. And then you have options like 4MATIC, BlueTEC, and AMG. Then there are Coup variants and Convertible variants and the same cars can come with different engine sizes or turbos. What it comes down to is that even Mercedes owners get confused as to which models/packages are more exclusive or more more expensive. Most non-Mercedes owners have no idea. So if you buy a CLA 250, most people will just see the Mercedes symbol and be impressed. The CLA-Class, the C-Class, the E-Class the S-Class... To most people, they won't know if you paid over $100,000 or $15,000 for it, used. All they know is it's a Mercedes Benz.
I have a G70 2.0 and paid 50k 100x better then my BMW 5 series I previously had.. mind you mine is fully loaded to the Max.. but I say that to say yes these are all cheap when you buy them standard.. meaning NO FEATURES

6:03 I strongly disagree on that subject
I own a Chrysler 300 myself, and saving up towards 3 other ones, including two SRT8 models with a 6.1L and a 6.4L, that's super rare, and found in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Challenger SRT8 models, including the Dodge Magnum SRT8 (6.1L)
They're very reliable vehicles, my Dad even owned three different Chargers with the same Drivetrain and Chassis as the Chrysler 300, he owned a 2006 brand new and traded it in with 120K Miles with no issues and had a 3.5L V6 Engine as well as the 4 Speed Automatic Transmission from Mercedes, for a brand new 2012 model that has the 5.7L HEMI V8 in October of 2012, that vehicle also had no issues except for just a simple water pump replacement covered by warranty, and that's it, it never leaked oil, it never had any transmission issues, he drove it pretty hard too at the Drag Strip, not one problem in sight afterwards, 93K Miles on it and almost went into 100K but it sadly got crashed by a hit and run driver, and now my Dad currently has a 2018 Charger R/T Scat Pack with the 6.4L 392 HEMI V8 with 45K Miles on it since he bought it brand new with 6 Miles, 8 Speed Automatic as well and still runs like brand new the day he bought it!
The comments you made about the Chrysler 300 being "Unreliable" is Absolutely absurd, and I for one am apart of a Community full of Chrysler 300 Owners on Forums, Social Media, Live Events, and Car Meet Ups, where we drive these cars and spend time with them everyday, including racing them, and I have yet to witness ANY Major Issues with there vehicles, INCLUDING MINE
I own a 2005 model with 250K Miles one owner that had I recently just started cracking open for high performance modifications to go in, and the cylinder walls including the internal parts were FLAWLESS, Absolutely stunning condition, the previous owner changed the oil every 3,000 Miles with AMSOIL 5W-20, and has been religiously up with maintenance on my vehicle, and has even Serviced the Transmission before I bought it!
Guys, for those who are reading this thread, it's all about how you take care of your car and keep up with the proper maintenance of your vehicle, if you neglect it, and treated like shit, you're obviously going to break down on the side of the road, and rightfully deserve it, because it was on YOU, who treat it like garbage
YOU are responsible for the ownership of your vehicle that YOU purchased, nobody's fault but YOURS, cars are like Children, don't take care of them, they'll either end up dead or in jail someday, and it all falls on YOU, as the parent, who is responsible for raising that child

Infiniti is reliable but they have outdated interiors
Good, honest picks in the "cheap luxury" category. The maintenance costs are why most of them go for so little. Also did not realize the CLA was front wheel drive. Shocked Mercedes would go that route.
For the money your better off getting a cls500 10 times better car and what the cla wants to look like

Great video except that Maserati Ghibli..... sorry you friend had to go through that but he should don’t his homework. Ghibli was launched in 2014 and let’s be honest every car manufacturer when they launch their new models or give upgrade 1st year or two comes with a lot of recalls. I think for 35k with 19k miles I got a great deal considering fact after owning it for two years it only dropper 6k if I want to trade/sell it......
I’ll stick to my Lexus.. slick, stylish, premium features and most importantly it’s never given me a problem..

@Matthew Aniston You want to see a large selection of used BMW's, go check out a Lexus used car lot, that's where BMW owners go to trade up.

Scotty Kilmer, because they are endless money pits that's why they are cheap.

2015-2017 Genesis Sedan 5.0L is a good one as well.
I worked at a Hyundai dealership when they came out with that model and they are amazing. The older model with the V8 is really good as well but good luck finding one in good condition
I knew that new Mazeratti was suspect

It's always a great buy if you know how to fix on cars. And it's always a lot cheaper if you know how to buy after market parts that's equal as good or better than the original parts that's come on the car.
Luxury cars when it’s old, it’s cheap because people are scared of repairing. You have to buy warranty.
I know right. My father can't even sell his E 350 and Accord both are 2017 model.
The genesis is such an underrated car
My Father picked up a 2017 Ghibli six months ago, we put over 4K miles on it and it’s running like a clock. Fingers crossed it stays that way... who am I kidding it won’t🙃

Got a ‘15 Genie 3.8 coupe a few years ago. Regular maintenance, no problems. And it dusts ever other “common” sports car on the road (except for GTRs and neck & neck with 370s). Interior and exterior still turns heads for me 😌
I’ve always liked the CLA 250 it looks good in many ways
