    I really don't understand why you're still only at 2k subs. It's weird... you're doing some solid work there, filmed really well and all these vids are really helping me map out all the things I will have to do with my own OG M2.
    Mine was an easy sub. No need to reciprocate - just keep the OG F87 content coming because there's so little of it on YT.

      @@TheHunterHofman No worries dude, I'll be tuning in. I'm kinda dreading the OFHG replacement as there's so much that can go wrong with that. So much work to do on mine but while she was a 1-owner documented highway mileage 138k on the clock at 15,500 EUR, I have maybe 5000 EUR in preventative maintenance to do... and there's a LOT to do.
      Pray for me lol

    Thank you for the video. One quick comment: you can take the foam piece out pretty much as the last step before popping out the coils, makes it much easier to get out because you just lift it off easily straight up off its little pegs without the strut brace or anything in the way. Cheers!

    good video! I also have an M2 n55 with 40,000 km and it started to misfire in cylinder 4 and cylinder 2. I replaced the coil with number 3 and 1 continues to misfire in the same cylinders. The spark plugs were changed at 28 thousand km, currently it has 40, Is it possible it was the spark plugs, given that the coils are good?.. I ask because 12 thousand km is too few in my opinion for the spark plugs to "die"

    • @TheHunterHofman
      @TheHunterHofman  7 месяцев назад

      I would agree with you, 12,000 km is a bit low for spark plugs to go out. See what replacing them does for the car, good luck!

      Update: I put in all the new spark plugs (Bosch) and the car ran without misfires. When removing the spark plugs I checked, and it seems to me that they are still the ones that come from the factory, they have the M emblem on the spark plug. thanks@@TheHunterHofman

    Nice demo. I eyeballed it and figured out what was needed but nice to watch someone else do it, just in case there’s a gotcha. The gotcha was removing the strut tower brace. It was tricky but I got it done without removing that. Ruben Goldberg lives.
    Oh and this as the first time I did this. Dealer did it under the free service at 20k or so. All my old plugs looked good, but the one closest to the firewall, the tricky one, looked less good. Hmmmm.

    • @TheHunterHofman
      @TheHunterHofman  2 года назад

      Spark plugs usually last up to 50.000 km, it would be wise to then replace them. Warranty will not be lost after replacing these no (unless you do the job wrong or put in cheap spark plugs maybe)
