What are some other cool camera accessories that speed up the video production process????
Honestly it is a very cool technology, but I only see it being very useful in scenarios where you have a very tight turn around and you have an editor and shooter. I think it could be very useful for sports shooters that need to get highlights out with speed.
I like that they made an ecosystem where you can add on extra hardware features vs making a new monitor. That way you can keep using the monitor you own.
Yeah, and the Ninja V has been around for a LONG time too
@@SidneyDiongzon Ive had mine for like 4 years and they keep adding firmware updates with extra options. Even adding ability to record Prores Raw and h.265 when it never even came with it. Super handy tool.

Hi, you should have try with realistic file, no ones is gonna rec 5s.
I just need an SDI in and since they no longer makes Atomx SDI they redirect us to the connect and for me the biggest cons is that you can't use a cage and sunhood with the atomos connect on.

SIDNEY please help with a monitor question. Trying to find a monitor for my a7iv where I can see the AF square box, face tracking and tapping for autofocus ON the actual external monitor as well as the sony lcd screen while recording video. Can't seem to find any monitor that supports this. I've seen the portkeys monitor that supports touch to autofocus but I find it so strange that there isn't one monitor on the market that shows the touch tracking box on it. I feel like I would constantly be looking at the LCD screen which defeats the whole purpose of a monitor. Any advice?

Great content Sidney. Other alternative is to Just use Davinci Resolve and collaborate your project on the cloud in real time. I am curious though...I have the Ninja V+. Does that record proxies at the same time? If so that would make this recorder that much cooler now. Thanks!

Never tried a hotspot!
How do you swipe the proxie media to the original? Even if they have the same name, one is pulling from frame, and the original files will come from the computer.

Love the Atomos Connect for Ninja V, and what it makes better than the Atomos Zato is the H265 upload vs an H264 upload. However, for live streaming I really want PIP and overlays, too. A shame that this is not possible with the Atomos Connect & Ninja V. Greets from Berlin!
All good, but I was hoping I didn't require internet while on wilderness locations to use this feature. I need to just stream directly to my laptop so others can see the photos and video. I hate that these companies tie us down to their proprietary stuff.
I don’t have the ability to use sdi on my ninja v nor is there a wifi option… latest firmware shooting on Komodo x
Do you know if you can enable live viewing, to say like an iPad? Highly considering this if I can give my client my iPad and they can see what I’m recording in real-time so we don’t have to preview the clips
Hollyland M1 is a monitor that transmits to iPad without any additional transmitter.
No recording on the monitor itself.
What about audio issues, I keep hearing jingling sounds with mine when live streaming
Guys i have a sony fs5 and ninja v+ i wanna know if the atomos connect is same like the Module SDi AtomX for the sdi fonction nothing are different still get the prores raw and 12 bit ?
What did you do in the end ? From the Atomos support itself, yes pairing a ninja V+ and atomos connect will record prores raw. The thing is that you only have SDI in and you don't have SDI out (compared to shogun) but if you don't need to send sdi out from your monitor it's ok.
I asked the support about it cause I have an FS700. (oh and pro tip, you can use the master caddy II with the atomos connect, you just have to take of the rear panel out of the caddy)

Really annoying that they cancelled production of the rear SDI module to push this thing with one port and no compatibility with cages we already have for our Ninja V's.

This device is internet based. If I am in a location where there is no internet service, this device will not work. Very limited options.

*This test is totally incomplete. The only thing you have accomplished is that the Atomos Connect (I have one too) can remotely upload and create Proxy files. Great ! 👍 However, we're not finished yet are we ? Now, pull down (More than one file Thank You !) and perform an edit with one's favourite editing platform (Final Cut ? DaVinci Resolve ? Avid Media Composer ? Adobe Premiere ?) and place those proxies into editing platform's custom clip bins (Especially with Media Composer !), then after the edit has been performed, and a completed sequence is ready, > I will believe you when I can see > and not some B.S. Smoke and mirrors dude !*
