It was not mentioned that the CZ slide and rails are inside-out compared to other pistols. The CZ slide rides inside the frame. The newer P-01s have 15 round magazines (blue followers). The advantages to the CZ are: It's ergonomic, it points very naturally, there are many options for G-10 grips from thin to palm-swell in many colors/textures, and the DA SA operation, which is safer, especially in appendix carry. My P-01 has Dawson night-sights on it and it shoots a little low for me. It also has LOK palm-swell grips that make it feel as if it were designed to fit my hand. I chose the P-01 because I have other striker-fired pistols that I like better than the Glock (M&P and Sig).
I just picked up a brand new CZ P-01. It came with two 15rd magazines. My Glock 19 gen5 is now going to collect dust in my safe...until my son buys it from me next month. He wants a Glock 19 badly...so, I gave him a good deal. Anyhow, the ergos on the CZ are superior to the Glock 19. It just feels better in my hand. Good video. Keep up the good work.
This isn't even close yes I own glocks but CZ is superior to the glock even the polymer version is more comfortable in the hand and have better triggers. Every glock I own has had sights and triggers changed. If go with CZ over glock everyday of the week.
I have Glock 19 and CZ P01 Omega. Happy with both stock. But it seems a lot of CZ owners also change the sights, triggers, springs from Cajun gun works and CZ Customs who seem to do well from CZ owners upgrading just like Glock people do. So CZ isn’t perfect out of the box for a lot of people. That being said I prefer hammer fired to striker fired regardless of brand.
While no one could reasonably criticize the reliability of the 19, IMO the CZ is significantly better in almost every category. The old argument that there are more cheap parts and accessories for the Glock doesn't cut it anymore. There are several holster options for the CZ, especially when you look to pay more than $25 for some junk. Better trigger, better sights, better mags and way, way better ergonomics for the CZ. I would never tell anyone they shouldn't get a Glock, but for me there is no comparison.
Great comment man. You seem to know a lot about firearms. I'm trying to help my uncle pick out his first polymer frame striker fired pistol (probably Glock 19 size since it will be a do it all pistol for now). Any recommendations on which platform or pistol to get?
I have both. The Glock 19 is my daily carry. Although my original intention was to replace my Glock with the P01 yet to do so because the P01 is heavier, the slide is much harder to rack under stress or with sweaty bloody hands etc. The trigger unless modified is not better than the Glock because the initial trigger is long heavy and stagey. To compare the single action trigger of the P01 one to the Glock is ridiculous in my opinion. The P01 although heavier does not offer any less recall and in fact could be argued is snappier than the Glock 19. Although I see your point about Glock not having the monopoly on parts, the truth is that Glock only has 34 parts and is extremely simple for the owner to Detail strip and replace parts Him or her self without the need of a gunsmith. About the only thing that is significantly better on the P01 in my opinion is the feel in hand and grip angle. The G 19 is more concealable and easier to draw because of its grip angle. The Glocks grip angle also helps in mitigating recoil. That said I hate the grip angle and need to train for it. I want to love the P01 more but for now it’s relegated to eye candy. Once it comes back from CGW or CZC I will reevaluate lol.

Shot matches in the rain with no loss of grip with LOK grip Bogie Palm Swell/ Grenade Slim combo. Sights are upgraded from CZC. It’s a superior shooting and very accurate pistol. However , a complete disassembly and reassembly has taken me 5-6 hrs for its annual clean. The G19 is simple . If the police seize the gun after a defensive shooting , I won’t care. Ultra reliable, easy to work on. I upgraded the sights and reduced the trigger pull to 4.5 lbs. I just started to ccw the G19. It’s fine. I added talon grip tape after taking a class in the rain. The polymer grips are like grease when wet.
I own both of these pistols. I will say that in standard configuration they both leave a little to be desired. CZ in my opinion when properly upgraded is the superior pistol and is a safer option for appendix carry. The optic cut is a huge bonus for now with the Glock. Everyone that has a Glock is standing in line to change out the frame, slide, barrel, trigger and guild rod. Then it's to the range they go to show off their new gun.
" The CZ is by far a much better gun in every way." No, shit. Really?? Then why close to a million police officers and federal agents carry Glocks, just like I do. Now, even SEALS do. Holsters yes. But as far as parts the only thing you need for the CZ is sights. But the average Glock owners spend two to three hundred dollars for "Perfection". Just saying.

Just out of curiosity how would you ever shoot a round out of the p01 with the hammer completely down? I suppose you could chamber a round and then pull trigger and finger the hammer down all the way....but why would you ever do that? That being said....the double action trigger pull should always be the same. Having the hammer go all the way down on decock would just serve to give a longer heavier da trigger pull on first round.

Okay... this is gonna be a long comment so sorry about that in advance. I received this video link in a group text where a couple of military buddies of mine and I were discussing the pros and cons of this exact subject... CZ vs Glock. Having been in the military for 30 years and having spent a good deal of time with guns, I feel that I have some room to talk with authority on this subject. I am going to basically copy and paste my text back to my buddies concerning this video. I am sorry if it's somewhat harsh on the creator of the video, it wasn't meant for him, but rather it's a conversation between friends. That said, maybe he could get a couple of honest takeaways from it and therefore improve future content. -To begin with, the CZ is a cool $100 over the price of the Glock. This however can be justified if you consider the CZ looks like it comes standard with night sights, whereas a set of tritium sights for the Glock are around $100 or a little more. My second point is that, because the CZ frame is aluminum, what you get is what you get. You had better love the feel of it in your hand because there's nothing you can do about it if you don't. The Glock has a polymer frame that can be easily customized to fit your hand. Something rubs you the wrong way, grind it off. 3. First shot (most important shot) trigger pull on the Glock is better. Even bone stock the Glock's "safety" trigger beats any FRDA (First Round Double Action) gun on the planet. After that, the CZ is the clear winner because any SRSA (Second Round Single Action) gun will beat a "Safety" trigger no matter how aftermarket badass it is. 4. Goes to Glock because, although the controls, i.e. slide catch, mag release, takedown leavers are as good as the CZ in stock configuration, the Glock has a myriad of aftermarket accessories available for it that would improve it far beyond what you could ever achieve in a CZ... whom, as far as I know, no one makes anything for. Nope! Stock Glock sights suck. First mod, tritium night sights. MOS cuts on a stock Glock slide? What?... Where you at CZ?! And... your Gen 4 Glock isn't drilled for MOS sights, take it in and get it drilled. You don't love someone about your Glock, grind on it, drill it, change it. You don't like something about the CZ... live with it. This guy is killing me. How would you show a HALF-inch difference in barrel length???? How about disassemble the guns and put the barrels next to each other. What are you, new? Adjustable backstrap available on the Glock and not available on the CZ. This guy doesn't need it, good for him. Maybe he doesn't need an adjustable seat in his car either but they do come in handy for some of us. A super quick fix to the Glock being snappier is to stop being a pussy. Yes, at 5 yards a gun should be shooting low. The Glock is doing exactly what it should at that range. As you step back, your point of impact will rise substantially. He doesn't like how the trigger safety comes out away from the trigger and wishes it were flush... does anyone else see a problem with this? Ok... how do they stack up in my opinion? If you own a Glock that has been completely modified for your specific needs, it's all done and in your holster... then, if you want a CZ because it's pretty, and because more guns are never a bad thing, go get a CZ. If you don't own a Glock... go get a Glock.

The Glock 19 isn’t bad and I also have both but I’d never sell my P-01 because with the works that’s been done and it’s just so good. I don’t think anyone would go wrong with purchasing either but if it was up to buying one I’d go CZ P-01 hands down.
I have 5 CZs and 3 Glocks. There's no comparing the 2. The CZ is by far a much better gun in every way. There's a reason for so many aftermarket parts for the Glocks.
The CZ is good for Sunday clowns, not for men and women whose lives depend on what they carry on their hips. For over twenty years in law enforcement I never ever met one officer, not one whose duty weapon is CZ. So carry on, Sunday warriors, with your CZ toy.
@@hldvoyeur4709 lol a hater
@@kevinwong5513 I own two Sigs 226; one in 9mm and one in .40 with DAK trigger. But Glock 17 is my duty weapon. What do cops in Europe carry?? Glocks!! Not CZs.
@@hldvoyeur4709 The same reason the government pick Colt to get the M 16s from for so many years. They get their weapons on bids, the lowest bidder get the contract. This just happened again with Sig getting the contract for the new handgun for government. They where the lowest bidder. Glocks where the cheapest guns for years therefor they got the most contracts and still get contracts for being the cheapest gun. This is why Glocks are becoming less and less in the LE and military other Co. are producing better guns at a better price. This has been well known for many years.
@@arlissyoung8899 I own two Sigs 226; 9mm and .40 caliber. Great pistols. Still, Glock 17 is my weapon of choice to keep me safe.
Although glock is King to many, I prefer the CZ.
I don't understand how the Glock is thinner and has more capacity with polymer coated magazines. Why do the P01 metal mags only hold 14?
Mine hold 15
Both great guns, however due to the availability of parts, holsters etc I prefer Glocks.
True
Holsters yes. But as far as parts the only thing you need for the CZ is sights. But the average Glock owners spend two to three hundred dollars for "Perfection". Just saying.
1000 rounds through CZ? You don’t shoot it much at all over that time frame. Get out or the range broff 😄
I bought a P01 Steel Black from 2021 a few months ago..
Put fiber optics sights by CZ, a black LOK grip, and a Olight BaldrS that unfortunately doesn't fit my holsters.
Best gun in the world, mates.
I have a 507k on my P-01. Send it to GGW and you are good to go.
Did not know it was possible to have too many guns?
I can put a lil charm on the lanyard loop like in the movie Romeo and Juliet
Love these, p2000 is another great contender in this category
Uhhh... The Glock website lists the 19 at 21 oz. Not a Glock fanboy here; just sayin'...
Excellent guns. Personally I prefer the weight savings that polymer offers. The glock 19 and more specifically, the gen 5s are excellent pistols. Availability of parts and customization options make the glock a winner for me
Waiting for my laser machine pistol.... It's not invented yet but I'm still waiting
Havent shot alot of guns..but I can shoot the berreta 92 very well..I think because the sights are thinner..are these cz sights similar..I like the glock feel.personally
The CZ is a far better gun.
We’ll spoken and easy to listen to. Enjoyed.
Have both. CZ over Glock anyday
Try comparing the G19 to the CZP07
I'm sure if you pull either out you'll be able fend off an intruder 🤣
which one is softer shooter?
Glock 19 is less snappier
Springfield XD for me. Forget Glock. I have the CZ P01 though too.
Didn't care for the xd, tried a usp Beretta and ended up buying the sp01
Ewww an XD? You mean the one with plastic slide rails... no thx
Yep. I carry appendix. But not with a Glock.
Would a 14-15rd mag work on the cz with 10rd mag?
I believe so, yes. That should be the compact magazine.
Yes I can confirm the 14, 15 will fit the 10rd CA compliant. Also just picked up an 18rd from SP01 and it fits the p01 10 rd gun. But the p01 mags will not fit the sp01.
I don't understand that comparison. Is like comparing a Ferrari vs a Trabant.
One of these guns has a manufacturing defect and jams often and is not being recalled. The other is a Glock. Choose wisely.
Glock is for trendy people and herd followers 😂
Real independent people don’t buy plastic toys
All gun slides are milled. You are comparing apples and oranges with these guns.
🟥 CZ 14 +1. I dont like plastic guns. Just saying
You'd think so, but I perceive it to be a little lighter from the full rest. It seems a tad heavier from the decock. Just my experience and opinion.
@@theevenstevenchannel8220 My p01 is the opposite in my experience...but I own one of the Omega models so that could be the reason I suppose
I thought i was a glock fan but no, i bought a G19 and didnt like it at all, trade it for a M&P 9 Shield, and I have shoot some glocks of all sizes, got a G17 which i never use, have shoot the CZ and i reqlly like them, besides my Beretta M9, so the reason im watching this video is because i think my next gun will be the P-01
CZ all the way.
CZ the winner
I'm sorry but how do you compare a plastic gun with a military gun? I have CZ 75 SP -01AND A GLOCK 17 And while you do have a point on after market
Accessories. THE GLOCK We'll never be close to a CZ.
Okay... this is gonna be a long comment so sorry about that in advance.
I think maybe…….you just can’t shoot
Cz without a doubt

I have to laugh at all the CZ video's that try to compare to a Glock.
This is just another validation video for CZ fanboys so they feel better.
Police and military predominantly like the Glock for a reason. And in another 10 years it will still be relevant no matter how many different CZ models are thrown at it.
I was threatened by 12 men, all carrying Glock 19’s. Luckily I had my P-01 and scared them all away.

Tony, do you know anything about the government? They cut corners and go with what is cheap and some what reliable. Glock is a throw away gun and CZ and 1911 is a collectors gun. Glock is and always will be trash/throw-away guns till their made into all metal frames and magazines.
@@Nobody-dc8dp do I know anything about the government? Well I was in the 10th mountain division from 88-91 but don't know what that has to do with this conversation? Lol

You lose credibility when you say Glocks are trash when they are sued by over 60% of the police force and and issued to SOCAM teams including seals.
CZ75s and 1911 are relics from the past my friend. Try not to be so hateful next time. I'm not saying they're not good guns but they have no place on the modern battlefield.
