I was in a gun shop to buy ammo a week ago. I had never looked at CZ before this time, I am a big fan of Sig! The moment I held the P01 I had to have it! Never in my life have I held a gun that felt so much like an extension of my hand. I can't wait to pick it up this weekend.
I never thought anything of the CZ either. went with some friends to a range and buddy brought a CZ P01 with an upgraded trigger kit. Agreed to buy it from him that night. Literal tack driver for me. I have lots of other handguns and was super fond of my ported Springfield 45 but this little guy is hands down the best shooting and consistently working weapon I own.
I found one with a rail for 1913. Picking her up in 9 days. Backstory : I wanted a 45 full size for home protection. My first firearm was a Glock 17 3rd gen but I really wanted a 45, so I went to a little town and shopped around and found the famous CZ 97b 😍😍. All steel , breaks like glass and shoots accurate and soft. I love it. It seemed natural to get a P01 for CCW. I opted for the decocker
Your friend didn’t “upgrade” from his PCR to P-01, it’s really just a slightly different feature set. My PCR, is my ideal EDC. I don’t carry with a light, too bulky for my taste. So the slimmed down frame is a plus in my opinion. Snag-less sights, another plus for the PCR. Add the round in chamber indicator, which I use as a tactile “press check”. Both have the forged aluminum frame and the same trigger group. My home defense is a full size P-09 Duty, that has tritiums and a light mounted.
Glad to hear that and watch this video, being that the cz p01 was what I chose as my first handgun during the pandemic. Did a lot of research I wanted something different everyone had a Glock and the decocker feature is nice as well
I’m getting a P01 in the next few days. I’ve really enjoyed shooting the p07 and the p01 looks even better! I’ve been a big fan of 1911s but I’m finding the p07 has the best ergonomics of any pistol I’ve shot and just shoots the best for me. Great review by the way.
I've carried this pistol for 7 years, just a tip for reloads. If you slam the mag home the slide auto closes and racks the round in. Highly recommend looking into Cajun Gun Works. Takes about an hour or 2 to install their pro defensive kit. They also have great after market sight options.
Have noticed this so far with the P01 that it goes home on a hard mag hit on aggressive reload. My other carry gun that is my main is the p365xl and it also goes home on a hard mag slam on reload which I absolutely love.
@@mrtaylorhelm I carry a Springfield Hellcat that I have customized. It has the true precision barrel, volker precision micro comp mk2, holosun 407k x2, apex trigger, and tlr 7 sub hellcat. It is a very fast pistol even at 25 yards. I shoot it as well as my pcr. I am thinking about milling the pcr for a holosun as well for winter carry with my 23 round mags. I’m 6 ft 3 and a very athletic 200 lbs so I can carry full size pistols pretty easy. The hellcat is just so easy to carry. Even fully decked out it weighs less than my pcr when both are fully loaded.
@@sinqros any handgun should drop the slide if you slam in the loaded mag hard enough and it has a slide lock feature. I think it's funny that the original commenter thought that was unique to the P01 or something that should be done. It's just abusing the gun lol like yeah, if you hit the mag on the pistol hard enough, it will knock the slide loose too.
Thanks for the thorough review. As a guy with small hands, pistol ergonomics are among the most important considerations. The CZs I've tried have just sort of locked into my hands. I've been eyeing up the P01 for a while, and you might have pushed me over the edge.
I have an OLight I3T OES that's a mini edc light and I've dropped it in water, washed it in my washing machine in my jeans twice and it's never failed. Very impressive light.
Awesome pistol, agree with you, I have a cz PCR, as I didn’t need a rail, and I liked the lighter weight of no rail and the aluminum frame. I have had excellent luck with the Czech guns!
I’ve had this gun, with NATO numbers and De-cocker, for many years and I absolutely love it! I own several others handguns, and carry them all throughout the year, but this my “go to gun” and my number 1 gun if I could only have one. I’ve lost the round count to date, but I’ve never had one issue! If you have a chance to get one, do it! The only change I have made to it is replaced the factory sights with TruGlo.
The P-01 and the PCR rubberized grips are by far the greatest right out of the box. I have to agree that this weapon feels the best that I have personally felt. Workhorse of a weapon. Great video.
Outside of something bad happening(loss or breakage of the gun) this is my last pistol to buy. I've carried four different varieties: Beretta Px4 Storm, some Turkish junk(I know they have good stuff, this one wasn't one of them), S&W M&P Shield, and finally the CZ 75 P01. It's what I've wanted for years, and it is what I carry everyday. Love this pistol.
There is a detail about CZs that I noticed on my 97bd that might have something to do with how smooth they shoot. It also explains why the rear sight is so much higher than the front: When the barrel is locked (ready to fire), it isn’t parallel to the slide. It is actually pointing slightly down. When the shot goes off, the slide begins to travel rearward, and when the barrel unlocks - it drops down to parallel. In a typical Browning action, the locked barrel sits parallel to the slide, and as the slide moves rearward it tips the barrel upward as it travels. This contributes to muzzle flip. The CZ design is amazing.
Great job. Subscribed. I am saving my pennies for a Cajun Gun Works P-01. Right now the only CZ I have is a 97B .45 and both my son and grandson are IN LOVE with it. My son, having never fired it before, put 20 rounds through a 2" hole at 10 yards... first 2 mags with it. There's just something about a CZ... and this is from a 1911 guy.
The CZ 75B has been my EDC for the last year or so, before that I had a S&W 9. The CZ is heavier- a LOT heavier- but my God what a pleasure it is to shoot! And accuracy is far better too, it makes me feel like my shooting ability has dramatically increased; but it's just the gun, it goes right where I point it. So yeah, I'm a CZ fanboy! Now I've got the P01 on layby, pick it up in a week, and I'm sure looking forward to trying it out. If all goes as planned, it'll become my EDC and I'll use its bigger brother as my range gun. It feels so good in my hand! Thanks for an excellent video, I just subscribed!
i recently got back into da sa guns. all of the striker fired polymer pistols i have, have just got boring to me. i bought a cz p07 & sp01 tactical. i put the mcarbo spring kit in my p07. it reduced the da sa trigger pulls by 40 %. i sent the slide for my p07 off to have milled for a holosun 507 k. once i get it back & get the 507k mounted, i think it will be the perfect gun for me. something about the cz ergos, i can just shoot them more accurately than any of my other pistols. thanks for the awesome review. i would love to find a green p01.
I got a cz p01 (upgraded with Mcarbo trigger kid) . Love it 😍. The feeling I get holding the cz after shooting 100 rounds on a glock is like enjoying an oasis in a desert
Looking forward to getting my P-01 back. Did the CGW protection package, stainless guide rod with new spring, Tru glo pro sights, LOK grips and forest green cerakote. It was shooting great before so I imagine when I get it back it will be a real dream. Great video.
@@FL-Kaiman Other than the guide rod everything else is installed. Put 200 rounds through it last week out to 20 yards and it shoots great. Trigger is very smooth crisp reset, sights are nice. Very pleased with it.
Just switched to carrying p 01 Omega, it is replacing my Springfield Hellcat. The Hellcat is a good pistol and easy to conceal but I have switched to appendix carry and feel more comfortable with an da/as pistol
I also switched from g19 to P01. I went with the omega though. I am aware of the slightly better trigger on the non omega versions but needing no tools to fully break it down is worth the trade off for me. If it were a target pistol then it would be different. Have you considered installing a CGW kit? If you like the P01 now, you will love what CGW does to it. The wall on SA is almost 1911 like after a bit of slack. Very defined. Very crisp.
I put the m-carbo spring with great results. Single action is 3 lbs. and double action is mid 5 lbs. I chose not to install the decocker since the factory spring was great and the process to install the replacement spring was a real pain.
I love the rubber grips, but they wear and smooth out. Coarser textured G10s are the way to go. I have the Olight Baldr Mini 600 lumen torch with the green laser. I'm loving that thing.
@@thomasjames7644 Yes I have the sig also so have shot them both. The P01 is much smoother, much less snappy due to the extra weight mostly I would think. This also equates to quicker shot follow up also because with less recoil the sights are back on target that much faster. So a little extra weight, while it may be less ideal to carry every day, does have it's benefits.
Great review here, as I just purchased a used P 01 I've been learning about it what I like an dislike. I like it ! I found this pistol in a LPS and after some days of consideration I adopted my new pet , it needed a home. Now I own a SIG P210 which uses the same slide design which is a iconic feature for solid accuracy and lockup, just eats up ammo like a pig. I just couldn't pass up this pistol and like you it took a while to warm up to CZ , this is my first CZ and I'm glad I took it home, I had an itch to scratch. To explain this pistol it's a solid shooter, a classic that's going to make some history, this is a tough as hell gun that's going to take a beating. The slide takes some training but overall chambering a round is not constant nor will you experience a need to clear jams enough for this to be a problem. The grips on mine are rubber and are good but not pretty so there are options Lok grips can enhance it's somewhat boring suit. The sights were the least impressive part so that will be a definite swap for something much more visible, then there's the trigger it's DA so if you can live with it fine or you can upgrade with a Cajon Gun Works trigger kit , I understand it's a nice upgrade. The decocker is a welcome feature I like as on my P220 SIG. And last I find nothing bad about o light it's a fine light and maybe the brightest on the current market. Enjoyed your review 💪🇺🇸
When you say its "a lot" heavier than a glock 19, I just looked up the numbers. glock 19 is 23.9 ounces. The cz p01 is 28.1. With both of them being only .1 away from an even number, I think its fair to call the glock 19 at 24 ounces, and the p01 at 28 ounces. Only a 4 ounce difference. I've never carried a glock, but I couldn't see 4 ounces feeling that noticeably different when carrying in a holster on your belt. If we are talking about a pocket sized subcompact gun, then yes, 4 ounces is a pretty big difference imo. But that's not so not much difference for iwb carry.
There is a huge difference, even between a g17. My edc for years was the original CZ75 Compact, which is about 10 oz more. Now I’m sporting the new 75 compact that no longer comes with 15 round mags and has a polymer lower..
I rented a P-01 at my local gun store/range a couple of days ago. Bottom line: I'm buying one. I was an early adopter of SureFire, back when they were Laser Products Corporation and "SureFire" was a product line. But lights on pistols? Nah. Ambient light doesn't have much of a marketing budget, but it does work. For the better part of four decades, managing threats in low light conditions was just part of the job. I never came out of a situation wishing I had a light on my pistol, and I can't think of one now that would have been better handled with a light on the gun.
I’m the inventory manager at a shop and I have been trying to find one of these ever since watching your review and Sports south finally had them in stock! Placed the order today and just waiting on FedEx! It will go nicely with my OD green P-07 and my PCR!
@@OreGear I have been carrying it everyday since i got it and have put a lot of rounds down range and i absolutely love the gun! i havn't had a single malfunction yet! Thanks for the recommendation!
Been Carrying the Cz 75 B as an everyday carry. Love it so much. I just bought the cz 75 p01. Can't wait to have enough practice with it, so I can carry it everyday!!
I love my P01 and feel it’s one of my smoothest shooting handguns. Compared to most others it feels like the slide is on ball bearings and gives a pleasant recoil impulse. With that said I went back to carrying striker fired guns, particularly the Walther pdp compact 5” with holosun 507c. I feel 5” compact handguns that are optics ready are cream of the crop and offer more than regular compact handguns. Add the sweet trigger that walthers are known for and it’s a no brainer. My P01 isn’t going anywhere but it’s probably already seen it’s carry glory days.
Your p01 would be far superior to that pdp if you sent it to Cajun Gun Works or did the job yourself. Pro defensive carry package. Trigger will be better and far safer, especially for appendix carry. You can also get it cut for the holosun or whatever optic you want for like 250 bucks. I also recommend the 15 round pro mags with cz custom 10 spring follower kit. 16 +1 in a flush mag the size of a glock 19. It's about the same weight, 1 Oz more, slimmer, slightly shorter in height and length, more streamlined, faster on the draw, and I think the ergos are better. While I love the PDP I think the cz p01/ d compact pcr are the best do everything pistol ever made with just a little work.
Why am I watching your review if I already have the same CZ model!?? (LOL) But yeah, my P-01 is more accurate and comfortable to wear inside the waist than my Sig P229! I have a P09, so I know how the Omega trigger feels. My (I gen) P-01 trigger is so "broken in" already, that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between both trigger systems. Nice review!
Thank you for the video. Same here, i ignored cz for a long time and friends telling me to get one. I have the sig p229 elite enhanced. It broke after 2500 rounds within 4 months of ownership. I tried the P-01 at the range last week and loved it. A local retailer just got them in stock and i'm going to buy it.
I carried a Glock 19 for 22 yrs and absolutely loved it, still do’ it’s a fine pistol and 100% reliable’ when a CZ-75 full size model came into the shop and I handled it…….it never even made into the case, bought it right then and there and immediately called and ordered a P-01 for concealed carry’ the grips on these are one of if not the best feeling grips on a stock firearm I have handled’ the accuracy is unreal as well’ if your already a good shooter you will be an even better shooter with this’ it is well refined and thought out’ look at the NATO tests on it! If that doesn’t convert you then you are a lost cause.
Was never a fan of CZ, until I held one and shot it. Now I’m a huge fan! But I like the CZ 75 B and BD models the best and carried on my hip, or on the nightstand. The P-01 while a fine gun, is just too heavy to EDC for me in AIWB carry. I even dread my Glock 19 carried there, so I can’t imagine anything heavier than that. The P-01 is a whopping 5 ounces heavier than the G19. I carried a Beretta 92FS for years AIWB and was glad to give it up due to its length and weight. The Glock 19 felt better. Going to the P-01 or PCR alloy version is still too heavy for me in my older age. These days, I want comfort. G43X, G48 or G27 plus two spare magazines is how I usually roll with ANY gun that I carry.
Great pistols, however every single hammer fired CZ I've owned as well as my P10C has broken it's trigger return spring within the first couple months. I do ALOT of dry fire and IMO the oem TRS isn't durable enough for that kind of routine. After installing a Cajun Gun Works spring that issue is resolved and is the first upgrade I make. I've had in order, SP01 Tactical, P07, P09 SR, P10C SR and currently have a P10F SR. Out of all of them only the P10C had a breakage that stopped it..broken firing pin. CZ was absolutely fantastic to deal with and had the FP to me in two business days. I look back and have some regrets about selling the SP01, but I could've replaced it if I'd really wanted too and I haven't. Next on the CZ list is a Shadow 2.
You probably know this but you could change out the firing pin retaining pin...I even saw a guy on RUclips use a plain 1/8" x 3/4" steel pin to replace the hollow CZ pin...I could've done that but I just ordered a $6 pin online... You don't even need to strip the gun, just tap out the pin and insert a solid steel pin in and you're done... Some guy on RUclips had replaced his magazine spring and firing pin (and maybe the trigger spring too but I forgot) due to feeding issues or the round not going off... He finally looked at that retaining pin and it was all dented up... He dry fired a lot too I guess lol... Anyways if u already knew than my bad lol
I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Olight. I probably own a dozen different Olight lights and never had a problem with any. I only wish they weren't a Chinese company, but it is what it is. As for my P01, well... we're in the middle of an ammo crisis that rivals the southern border crisis. So I can't say I've put many rounds through it. I concur with your experience with it's accuracy, my first box of ammo through it at 10 yards I put a racketball sized hole in the center of the target. I changed out the grips to lokgrips frag pattern as I hated the feel of the rubber grips. But I have to admit, when my hands were sweating, the frag pattern wasn't offering as much grip. They do look amazing though. I guess I'll be buying another set of their more aggressive textured grips.
I bought my first CZ because I loved my warmed over DA/SA Sig P226 RX Legion so much. I found a new CZ RAMI BD that I sent off to Cajun Gun Works and had a trigger job & Romeo X installed (Pierce mag plate allows full grip on short mags). It is a great Sub-compact. Now for the compact, I am torn between the P-01 that I will certainly modify or the Shadow 2 Compact that comes optics ready (once the price settles down)? Both will likely become close in price as the Shadow 2 will be good to go (and old eyes like our red dots). Cheers
If you have ever got a case of hard primers in range ammo especially reman the double action is essential and makes it possible to actually use that ammo.
Nice review. I was looking for this gun at my LGS, and they did not have it. However, they had the fraternal twin -PCR. Like you, I ignored CZs for years.
I have the Omega w/decocker installed. Grips were a little big for my medium sized hands, but some slim grips fixed that. Install a 15# hammer spring and dropped the DA & SA pull weight on both. Can't decide if I like the P-01 or my P-07 better. Both great guns.
I got a used P01 late last year and really liked it...but heard about Cajun Gun works so I wanted to give them a try because the DA/SA stock trigger seemed a little heavy...got it back from Cajun last week and shot it to day for the first time. WOW!!!! Add the Pro Package trigger kit, a metal guide rod and barrel bushing......I don't think I have any desire to get a Shadow 2 Compact now. My Shadow 2 will also being to Cajun at some point. NO question.
I have a M&P 2.0 9mm compact. Thinking of trading for another P-01, S/D with 1 Decocker. My other P-01 has steel frame, thumb safety, and the CGW did-up. I never minded the weight, probably because I am in a wheelchair. Just imagine if I had to use it & it ends up on an evidence locker for 2 years; it would break my heart. Need another that I shoot & practice with. I was on the fence, you just made my day. ❤
I picked up this gun(the omega version with decocker) and love it. Very accurate and I agree that once you pick up this gun you will fall in love with it!
I’ve been thinking heavily about the P-01, my first (and so far) only handgun has been a striker fired polymer framed Glock clone, I just don’t think it’s for me. I’ve always love the look and feel of metal framed handguns, and CZs more specifically Little update: I got the ASG brand CZ SP-01 airsoft gun, trying to get more familiar with the platform before i get the real deal, and dang it’s a nice replica
I really love seeing the low recoil in the footage. Man I love CZ. I have an SP01 I'm cajunizing myself and my P01 will be part of my carry guns. I probably won't mod too much accept for the springs and maybe a green dot or night sights.
Love my p-01!!! They use the photo luminescent because they are not allowed to have the “nuclear” tritium sites in Europe I believe! What holsters have you had experience with?
Lol... Bro I KNOW EXACTLY what your meant when you said CZs kinda just flew in one ear and out the other... But I kept hearing "clone of the CZ 75..." over and over and over... Simple reasoning and logic required me to ask myself, "how could I view a firearm and it's maker on straight prejudice? Especially when it's being cloned so much, they must be doing something right." I joke but I always say "after I shot a CZ, i damn near proposed at the range" because the nuances were noticeable for someone who knows jack about firearms (myself)... Now my EDC is my Rami and it's difficult to own other firearms lol
Great/detailed review! I've heard some say on YT this tool was snappy. I found this exact tool built and customized with practically every upgrade available by CZ Custom and was wondering, "what's the recoil and return to target impulse"? I want a smooth, fast shooter. Even saw another YT reviewer compare his upgraded PO1 to an WBC EDX 9..hmm, 'it seemed' to compare fairly against WCB "IF" internals are upgraded. If so, maybe I found that cheat code item...? Is it really a soft shooter?
Love my P-01, I did do a number of upgrades. The Cajun GW "old style" trigger by itself made the trigger pull feel lighter and completely relieved the trigger bite I personally was dealing with. As my EDC I also replaced the sites with TruGlo night sights just wanting to be able to pick up that front sight as quickly as possible in need. MCarbo spring kit, very nice, replaced the cheap plastic guide rod with steel, and the cheap factory roll pin because it is a noted issue. LOK grips. With all that, what holster are you running?
Drew Evans i noticed in your reply to this video you mentioned using Mcarbo springs and Cajun parts together. I have also looked at that combo. Have you been pleased with that set up?
Yes, very, but I did all of the work myself. If you go that route, be sure to watch videos from multiple sources on RUclips. The spring kit company is not important, the videos are. The MCARBO videos were not enough for the PO1 specifically. The firing pin block spring process does not match the video and they refer to the dome side of the decocker pin which they get wrong from my perspective. To me the domed end is the round end. What they are referring to is a chamfered end. This is a potentially critical misnomer as you may punch the pin through the aluminum frame trying to set the tine washer. I had to combine research videos on the spring kit upgrade using both MCARBO and I think Apex as both had key points and clues about the upgrade (especially seer cage) that were better to know than from one source alone. Good luck.
CZ used to have aluminum or G10 grips, both of which were much thinner than factory rubber. I have medium hands and love the aluminum. On my 75B, I have G10 plastic and love those much better than original rubber. Rubber makes the grip thicker and I don't need that.
I think the reason for recessing the rail has less to do with reducing the reciprocating mass and more to do with lowering the bore axis. By bringing the axis of the slide path in recoil closer to the shooters's hands, you should reduce the torque and therefore felt recoil.
CZs don’t really have a lower bore axis than most semi autos. It only seems that way because of the way they do the rails. The slide is shorter, and the frame is taller, but the barrel just sits in the middle at about the same place as other guns.
I love this thorough review. I’ve recently been shooting different CZ’s at the range. And almost all of them were so impressive. The comfort of their grips is pretty crazy. It’s that swell that most of them come with that makes it so comfortable to hold. And the recoil was so minimal. Even for me! A new shooter and all lol. And also, not to make it awkward but I’m gonna make it awkward. Every time your shirt got caught and your belly showed when you shot…😬🥴🥵 Sorry. Not sorry.

I’ve owned the CZ75 b in .40, sold it, then in Jan 2018 bought the CZ75 PCR, still have it, I wanted the P01, but it was not there, so I got the PCR, I wonder if it’s as good as the P01?
This is a super random pro-tip but if you have a mechanical watch you don't want to be shooting with it on as the concussion can damage it. If you're rocking a Casio it's probably not a consideration but if you have a Rolex or a Jeager-LeCoultre you may want to consider taking it off first. If you have a quartz watch, don't worry about it.
Yeah, it's discouraged although the watch can endure it. Mine for example, the website specifies to avoid shock such as from playing golf, and I like to keep it clean from shooting dust, so I just remove it for more comfort.
My cajunized pro work on my Phantom is fantastic but the ergos on my cajunized P01 and PCR are much better than the Phantom. Difference is the customizable grips allowed on the aluminum frames versus the polymer frame.
I’ve been seriously considering a P01. The only thing holding me back is it doesn’t have the short reset of my Glocks. I’m not sure how that would impact my shooting

I am glad you came over to the hipster side. 😎
Thanks for watching!
I've owned the (non-Omega) P-01 for 10 or twelve years. I really like it and I shoot it well. I would LOVE it if it came with better sights!
Great job.
As far as the slide, it is important to consider that you will almost never have to rack the slide in a hurry or under stress.
Ever do malfunction drills?
@@Hellslidecompany no. I know how to rack a slide.
I don’t get why people go on about the slide….. I have 3 different CZs and working the slide is never an issue for me.
Just brought a SA only trigger for mines thinking about sending to get a red dot milled and ported by Cajun my favorite ccw by far
Love your sober mature presentation 👍👍
CZ perfection, I own 4 -
75 preB with.22 KADET, 2075 RAMI, 97.45acp, and vz52 7.62x25. ✌️☮️🇺🇲
Looking forward to getting my P-01 back. Did the CGW protection package, stainless guide rod with new spring, Tru glo pro sights, LOK grips and forest green cerakote. It was shooting great before so I imagine when I get it back it will be a real dream. Great video.
Update??
@@FL-Kaiman Other than the guide rod everything else is installed. Put 200 rounds through it last week out to 20 yards and it shoots great. Trigger is very smooth crisp reset, sights are nice. Very pleased with it.
Not sure why I'm watching this when I love my p01, carry it, and am a huge fan. Good vid nonetheless
Very crisp.
I love your calm/relaxing articulate style dude. Keep doing videos.
I appreciate it
I put the m-carbo spring with great results.
Excellent review. Clear, consise, and relevant. Your drills are also good.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching
I have the P01 Omega. It's at the top of my list of guns I'll never part with.
I'll pass mine down to my daughter someday.
Meathead would hate you for saying that.
Have you shot a p365xl, if so how do they compare?
@@thomasjames7644 Yes I have the sig also so have shot them both. The P01 is much smoother, much less snappy due to the extra weight mostly I would think. This also equates to quicker shot follow up also because with less recoil the sights are back on target that much faster. So a little extra weight, while it may be less ideal to carry every day, does have it's benefits.
@@okboomer1340 LOL, yes indeed he would. That's why he's Meathead. :)
Love CZ my ccw is a P07 I’ve carried the p365 s&w shield plus and a few others and the CZ is absolutely for me the best fit
Great choice. I shoot CZs better than any other pistol so that’s why I carry one.
Had no idea you made videos. You helped me out at Mazama this January and we talked CZ for a bit. Good video on a very nice pistol!
Good Review... I do really appreciate your info and experience.... just got bit by cz bug finally.... waiting to pick up my new 75 BD!
I love my CZ P-01 Omega …very accurate light recoil and spot on sights…
I’m the inventory manager at a shop and I have been trying to find one of these ever since watching your review and Sports south finally had them in stock! Placed the order today and just waiting on FedEx! It will go nicely with my OD green P-07 and my PCR!
That’s awesome! I wonder if our ordering guy did the same.
@@OreGear I have been carrying it everyday since i got it and have put a lot of rounds down range and i absolutely love the gun! i havn't had a single malfunction yet! Thanks for the recommendation!
I keep a couple of cheap nylon paint brushes to de-lint my guns. Whips the lint, dust, etc right off.
My CZ P-01 was a good pistol before have CZ Custom perform a trigger job with short reset on the SA. Now it’s a great pistol.
Been Carrying the Cz 75 B as an everyday carry.
Love it so much. I just bought the cz 75 p01.
Can't wait to have enough practice with it, so I can carry it everyday!!
Which do you prefer? I can't decide between the two.
@@jdsalinger73 I am in the same boat. I like po1 just because it's easier to carry because of size. But I rotate based on my clothes.
My CZ collection is the P01 Omega, P10C, P10F in .45 and my EVO scorpion micro!!! They are fantastic firearms
Love my P-01!! You should send yours to Cajun! Mine was great at factory, after Cajun Gunworks, it’s a dream!
Did you pick up the p-01? I am curious how the grip length compares to the p229. The p229 is just a bit short for my hand.
I carry apendex as well. Good choice deciding to stay center massed.
CZ ergos are second to none.
Except for Steyr
@@googlechicken Meh the Steyr's are just like a Glock but more extreme
Cheers
One of the best reviews of this pistol out there! Would love to see a review of the PCR!
CZ's make some of the finest guns!
Dam brother you have good taste I have been seriously considering picking up one myself
The P01 is such a handsome piece. Cant wait for that 712 shotgun review
I’m still trying to find a load that it can’t cycle. Not to mention ammo in general to run through it
How flat shooting is THAT!? Thanks for the demo. Great for EDC.
I have a shadow 2 comp. But thanks. This may be better for me to carry. Will look to Cajun for help as well as the Mantis system. TYVM
You say long overdue and it's evidenced by the fact that you can see your breath in a video released in July....
Lol
He’s a dragon
One fine shooting pistol. LOVE me some CZ's!
The great design before 1975 ,,, unbelievable ,,,it is my amazing gun CZ P01
I have a M&P 2.0 9mm compact. Thinking of trading for another P-01, S/D with 1 Decocker. My other P-01 has steel frame, thumb safety, and the CGW did-up. I never minded the weight, probably because I am in a wheelchair. Just imagine if I had to use it & it ends up on an evidence locker for 2 years; it would break my heart. Need another that I shoot & practice with. I was on the fence, you just made my day. ❤
Man you sure have great "recoil management" Hope to be half as good with my CZ 75 BD when I pick it up.
They are soft shooters. Easily managed. My favorite is the CZ 97b 45. Acp all steel
Woah cool! Didn't know Nick Frost started a gun channel on RUclips. Hell yea.
I’ve always love the look and feel of metal framed handguns, and CZs more specifically
Little update: I got the ASG brand CZ SP-01 airsoft gun, trying to get more familiar with the platform before i get the real deal, and dang it’s a nice replica
Especially when it's being cloned so much, they must be doing something right."
I joke but I always say "after I shot a CZ, i damn near proposed at the range" because the nuances were noticeable for someone who knows jack about firearms (myself)...
Good luck.
@@ghawk249 "tiny" washer
CZ used to have aluminum or G10 grips, both of which were much thinner than factory rubber. I have medium hands and love the aluminum. On my 75B, I have G10 plastic and love those much better than original rubber. Rubber makes the grip thicker and I don't need that.
Very good review. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.
I’ve had/have many guns but just got this one. Gladly like your knowledge, thanks
0:57 yup, good idea to clear that runny nose before the close up shots
I love this thorough review.
I’ve recently been shooting different CZ’s at the range. And almost all of them were so impressive. The comfort of their grips is pretty crazy. It’s that swell that most of them come with that makes it so comfortable to hold. And the recoil was so minimal. Even for me! A new shooter and all lol.
And also, not to make it awkward but I’m gonna make it awkward. Every time your shirt got caught and your belly showed when you shot…😬🥴🥵
Sorry. Not sorry.
Love my po1 Omega and 75b Omega---to dryfire these czs use a rubber o ring on top of firing pin and save wear and tear on the firing pin roll pin...
I just bought a shadow 2 and it shoots like a dream.
I cannot for the life of me understand why but this dude activates my spidey sense
Just bought a green p-01 on GB already have the safety version
Just sent mine out to primary machine to have a 407k mounted on it. Going to get the CGW omega kit and adjustable trigger. I'll bring it by so you can check it out when I'm finished with it
I also run a pl mini haha
Im not sure which cz i have all it says on the slide is CZ75 compact it has a safety no decocker it does have a rail and its all steel i changed the sights to truglo tfx which made a big difference its a tack driver i love it
I’ve got the omega model new and it came with 2 mec-gar 15 round mags
All the new ones we’ve had come through the shop recently have had 15 rounders as well.
I’ve owned the CZ75 b in .40, sold it, then in Jan 2018 bought the CZ75 PCR, still have it, I wanted the P01, but it was not there, so I got the PCR, I wonder if it’s as good as the P01?
Enjoyed the video very much. Great learning experience for me and you earned a new subscriber!
seller's remorse ........ Great review! This will complement your future BREN 2 MS
If we get another green one, I’ll let you know
This is a super random pro-tip but if you have a mechanical watch you don't want to be shooting with it on as the concussion can damage it. If you're rocking a Casio it's probably not a consideration but if you have a Rolex or a Jeager-LeCoultre you may want to consider taking it off first. If you have a quartz watch, don't worry about it.
I haven’t had any issues with this Citizen watch
Yeah, it's discouraged although the watch can endure it. Mine for example, the website specifies to avoid shock such as from playing golf, and I like to keep it clean from shooting dust, so I just remove it for more comfort.
I’m contemplating selling some AR build parts to finance a P01 or PCR. I love my Phantom, but want something with a smaller footprint.
PCRs are nice, but I want the ability to mount a light
cant go wrong with either
My cajunized pro work on my Phantom is fantastic but the ergos on my cajunized P01 and PCR are much better than the Phantom. Difference is the customizable grips allowed on the aluminum frames versus the polymer frame.
Thanks for making this video. What kind of appendix holster do you recommend for the P01 ?
I don't get the whole "Never use the slide stop." doctrine. If it's a quality pistol, the slide stop shouldn't be an issue at all, plus it's faster.
I’ve been seriously considering a P01. The only thing holding me back is it doesn’t have the short reset of my Glocks. I’m not sure how that would impact my shooting
