How strong of a connection will the transition cement make? Strong enough for some non pressure sewage piping to hold up long term?

It is pretty strong. Like mentioned in the video, it’s a product recommended by the manufacturer… worth checking out.

not deburing the inside and outside of the pipe.... JUST finish it in ABS is the right answer. no reason to put in PVC, the ONLY reason is if a bonding flange or drain is in PVC but the pipe is ABS or such

Absolutely, your point about finishing in ABS is valid. The problem I was trying to share is that, what happens if I a repair or renovation is much more then few fittings and I can't get a hold of all ABS. Transitioning the right way is key. Thank you for sharing your insights and watching the video. 🛠️👍🏽🔧

Do not use this glue. It does not meet the building code. You must use a mechanical connector to join dissimilar wastenlines.

100% incorrect. it meet most code requirements for residential use. depends on where you are.

Well, it is a gray area. Building codes can vary, so it's always a good idea to check with local authorities for the specific requirements in your area. I tried to showing the different approaches for this problem. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. We all learn together. 👍🏽🏡💡

@@timothywhieldon1971 So the real response is both correct and incorrect. You are right it does depend where you are.
