To me Kendra & Buffy fought so well together after they got over their initial issues. Whereas Faith & Buffy were like oil and water. Buffy and Kendra really respected each other. A shame they killed her off in such a wack way. Would of been cool to see all three slayers dynamic together

True! But only cuz she was in a coma for a good couple months and then jail. But I do give her credit facing the Beast, and the war with the First and still surviving. She deff deserved a spin off

In her 5 years as the slayer on the show, she was in a coma for 9 months and in prison for almost 3 years. Not exactly fighting evil everyday like Buffy

Buffy and Kendra were a great pair, I think they would have been unstoppable together, in the following seasons.
I agree. I really hate the fact that they killed Kendra off. I am sure that she and Buffy would have become great friends and a powerhouse team otherwise.
Honestly loved all of the Slayers on the show, Kendra, Faith, Buffy... and how different they all are. Represented different upbringings and ideals, also different interpretations of how to take on the Slayer role.

I would of liked it if Kendra wouldn’t of died I really liked her and would’ve liked to see more of her storyline unfold I mean I liked Faith and all but Kendra was just awesome and amazing
I'm ok with her dieing because it was a HUGE moment in the series, it marked Drusilia as a threat and it made room for Faith to come in, I just wish Kendra had been given more screen time so we got to know her better before they killed her off, if we'd got more attatched to her that death would have been much more impacting.
@@juliankanzuki2013 when they unalive her, it really hit me. I actually cried because I liked the character. I don’t know why they couldn’t just put faith in the less screen time role. I wasn’t a huge faith fan. I don’t like that Buffy and all of her friends were showing her what she needed, which was love and compassion for everything that she went through and then throw it in their face and spit back at them, and take up for the mayor and then the stuff that she did to Buffy in the fifth season and really made me sick and it made me sick that Angel took up for her. Then Angel wound up having to come to Sunnydale and actually apologize to her not wanting to fully understand the real reason why Buffy was so mad in the first place Faith basically

I openly admit I didn't like Kendra at first but she grew on me. I would've liked to have seen more of her and hoped that she'd have become a sort of long-term reaccuring character. The only downside to that would've been that we probablg wouldn't have had much of (or none of) Eliza's Faith as her character was also kick-ass but she had her story line with the corrupt mayor
Actually, i liked Kendra more than Faith. She was much more loyal to her duty

Buffy is superior on hand to hand combat than Kendra. Kendra is a good fighter too but she is no match against spike instead Buffy can handle spike most of the time in every of their encounter except on their encounter on season 2 where Joyce Summers save Buffy from spike. I still love both of them I just wish that they made Kendra's appearance longer just like they did to Faith. I want to know who's more superior when Faith and Kendra fights.
Kendra is also much more of a novice at being an actual slayer, although she did have combat training as a potential.
She is closer to where Buffy was at the start of the series.
At the beginning of Season 1, Buffy probably would not have been much of a match for Spike.
She was lucky enough to have at least half a year to gain experience, improve her technique, and grow her confidence
before having to face Mr. The Bloody.
Kendra was more technical, follow the rules, exact forms learned from her watcher etc. Buffy always had the advantage because she was resourceful and would improvise. Faith would be all the way to extreme side of wild fighting with brutality being the biggest focus. So really Buffy would be middle of the road compared to both extremes. Even if Faith was stronger and brutal, Buffy kept coming back from the dead and kicking ass. So, Buffy would be #1
@@Iamlightning333 It seems to be a repeating trope with Joss. Kendra too rule bound. Faith too out of control. Buffy just in the happy middle ground.
In Firefly and Serenity, the Alliance was too rule bound, the Reavers too out of control, our Big Damn Heroes, again right at the sweet spot in the middle.
Buffy is a fighter when Faith is a brawler. They are equal in strength however Faith may be a lil stronger than Buffy in my opinion. Buffy was more grounded wit family and friends who wanna tag along and have kept her from dying more lol. Buffy has actually died 3 times in Season 6 Dark Willow saved her after she died. Buffy throws herself more into her destiny then Faith. Buffy is more resourceful tho using everything to hurt a vampire
Faith wasn't even doing "slayer stuff" for years, she was just drifting around causing mayhem when she wasn't busy being a coma or in jail.
I'd say buffy was probably a bit stronger, maybe just because she had more experiance.. But their fights were fairly even most of the time, but I think buffy won more often than Faith.

Yeah this era sucks. The 90s was bomb. I’m so lucky to have been born in ‘88, so I got to experience the 90s as a child. Kids these days have no idea how terrible the world is now, and society. Babies with smartphones smh. It’s only gonna get worse from here.

Spice Williams-Crosby was great as Patrice, and I believe it would have been harder for Sarah and Bianca to beat her if it had been a real fight😅!

Lol idk, I got it from a random site at the time, along with the other Buffy vids.
I haven't seen this show, especially season 2 in almost a year, so my memory may be a bit fucked. Why the actual fuck would the cop want the vampire slayer's full attention while in close proximity. She's going to be faster than any normie woman, cop she may be. Unfortunately, Buffy isn't doing great either. Instead of crushing Patrice's hands at the start to end the fight she just backs away to save other people, a noble decision that completely forgets how fast and strong she is. Even at this early stage in her training she was able to crush a lock with her bare hands. Anyways, moving on. The fight is fine until Buffy knocks Patrice and her gun to the ground. The weapon is the midpoint between buffy and a slowly getting back up Patrice and buffy just stands there. Which is what Kendra does after saving Buffy instead of neutralising the threat.
Not an actual cop, she's more of an undercover / bounty hunter type.

@@patrickbliss9264 it’s been a while since I’ve watched this episode. But I do believe she’s part of a human-esque assassins for hire by the vampires… since I believe there was more than a couple of them to take out Buffy. Not a 100% sure, but it’s something like that.

Tbf, in general when it comes to plot-armor, many superhuman-based characters have been injured, overpowered or even offed when the “right story” comes along, so… logic is pretty much up in the air in terms of these sort of encounters.

She was an assassin, I believe she had more than one weapon.. in which she could've easily used to take down Buffy if I'm not stating the obvious, yes.

Tbf, the show was made in the late 90's and the whole "tom boy" thing was still around (it technically still is to a certain extent), so.. I always assumed Buffy dressed that way because it was easier than dressing up like Cordelia Chase for example who always over-dressed to get attention. Buffy's just not that same chick. Then again, when she wants to, she gets dressed up and makes Cordelia look subpar in comparison. lol

Laurie Faith Prescott They dressed Buffy that way to make the difference between her and Kendra more obvious. They usually use the outfits as a way to expose the characters personality. Later on, Buffy begins to wear more delicate outfits to contrast with Faith
