If Faith had just focused, and honed her skills she could've been unstoppable. She has that natural fighting instinct and is also fearless, but she's sloppy. She could've used her anger to her advantage. She's still my fave tho
VERY SLOPPY!! She always relied on rage and sheer brute force.
Buffy's style is more of sheer counter and mix ups
Fan theory has it she somehow was more in touch with the Primal slayer. Mix that in with the trauma of her past and the accidental killing of the mayors assistant it's no wonder she got sucked into the dark side
@@luchagores interesting? Do you have a link? I’d love to read more on this!
@@FrozenRemix1 I have lost the source but cliff notes version it went more in depth with Faith's aggressive fighting style. More so when she fights against Angel I'm five by five she exhibits more strength and also how she was able to throw off all those uber vamps in the season finale and how she fights more like a demon possessed then Buffy was. I just wish that it was brought up more in the series as opposed to Faith has trauma so that's why she does XYZ.
What sucks is as they enhance the pictures for modern times to be more clear and high tech, it really shows their stunt doubles more now. Back then you couldn’t see them so you can pretend but ya can’t now.
That's the first thing I noticed too 😫
Sarah actually did some of her stunts
Yeah that sucks
@@RACHEL_CHARMSSNot many, especially in this scene. It would’ve been an insurance problem with the production, even if she wanted to do a stunt they probably wouldn’t have let her do anything that would get her hurt. If she got hurt then a lot of people would be screwed out of a job.
@@RACHEL_CHARMSSSarah did not do her on stunts hahaha sophia crawford was her stunt double and she was amazing. Sarah didn’t even do her hair stunts for IKWYDLS haha.
It’s not her fault, she had a pretty tight and fucked contract from the age of 15 to almost 30 that completely forbidden her from engaging in anything that could alter her face and body. Also some heave insurance contract enforcements
In faith’s defense Buffy should have told her about angel
Buffy And Faith is my favorite Catfight that I have been in love with! 😃
The writing had been on the wall that Buffy and Faith would be at odds and fight to the death. This was the precursor.
back when this aired I didn't notice how obvious the stunt doubles are
One of my favorite fights in the entire series ! Buffy could have wiped the floor with Faith whenever she wanted
She literally did in Graduation day
@@catarinemarques231 no she didn't
@@catarinemarques231 their fights were always 50/50. Buffy just saw a lucky opportunity with the knife in Graduation Day and took it
Buffy had the edge due to her having a more disciplined style of fighting, and a more balanced emotional mindset. Faith, on the other hand, relied on sheer brute force, and rage due to suffering from mental instability.
@@FrozenRemix1 faith can’t even sense when a vampire is a vampire or a human is a human.
Damn the lack of editing scenes with the stunt doubles back then is so obvious now. I wonder if tv and movie editors ever realized how much they’d be able to remaster things in the future 😂 they probably just heavily relied on dim lighting and shadows from things like hair covering their faces.
Nah, they definitely did not. It’s kind of a shame too, but it is what it is.
Buffy totally kicked Faith's ass here
I don't think so but also to be fair faith hasn't been a slayer for very long here
@@davlin7685 Faith had more time to train after she became an enemy of the Scoobies and moved to another apartment. Even so, she still lost badly to Buffy in the graduation fight, even though Buffy hesitated a bit in the fight.
Buffy will always be better than Faith. Recall, according to the lore Buffy was seen as a "truly exceptional" slayer.
@@gaffawebber No Buffy Protecting That Vampire
@@dequanrick2209 - she's still better than Faith, BooBoo. 1😘
I love the fights between Buffy and Faith both the actresses and even more so the stunt doubles did a great job including the great choreography. However, I can't quite agree that you can only see the stunt doubles now with the newer resolution. I think you could see earlier that Sarah Michelle Gellar hardly ever did any stunts of her own. You can take Xena as a comparison. The series even came out 1 year earlier than buffy and if you look at xena on newer televisions today, you can see the use of the stunt doubles, but not nearly as much as with buffy. On the one hand Lucy Lawless did a lot more stunts herself and on the other hand the camera was simply better there. They knew better how to hide the stunt doubles. That's my personal opinion, not badmouthing Buffy.
Congrats on 10,000! Gonna binge your content to celebrate.
Haha, awesome! Glad you enjoy the content, also, love how you changed your icon from Mai to Sophia.
@@catfightparadise
All the credit to you, man. Pretty stoked to see the channel get bigger! Yeah, I decided to change my pfp after comparing Mai’s and Sophia’s feats. Mai’s pretty awesome, but Sophia is definitely a more powerful fighter with greater stamina. She even breaks a guy’s neck with one hand, where Mai generally has to rely on guns to get the job done. Not to mention Sophia’s extreme proficiency with her sword, with which she would have absolutely killed Kamiko if not for the intervention of the plot. By comparison, Mai was pretty badly beaten by McClane. I also feel pretty confident in saying Sophia could defeat the majority of regular human combatants featured on the channel, especially using her sword.
@@tarsartica9761 If it was up to me, although a pipe dream, I'd have some sort of tournament (to the death of course!) between all the heroines / villainesses that have been featured on this channels of far... kind of like a tournament bracket type of thing like a lot of sports events do. How interesting would that be? Wish it was mainstream. Lol
@@catfightparadise
That would be pretty epic. The matchups you’ve been doing on the community tab are still pretty great, though. I like thinking through those scenarios and seeing the possibilities there. But a true tournament-esque experience sounds amazing. There’s another channel doing something like that in CG, right?
@@tarsartica9761 If I could see half the match ups I've thought up but irl (put into movie form), I'd crap my pants. Anyways, I'm not exactly sure who you're referring to unless we're talking about Multiverse Combat whom uses the WWE 2K19 as a way to model out some of these female combatants.
I love these fights 😝😝😝😝 and I love Buffy too 😍😍😍😍
Man I loved these 2 👀
Buffy has a mean left in this fight scene
Love the fight scene but the stunt doubles are obvious
Painfully so.
wasn't that obviously origionally, the 'remastered' version took away the cinema magic that made it less obvious.
0:22 This would have been appropriate to play the song "She's Lost Control" from The Arkhams especially since Eliza Dushku is in this clip.
That song was in wet along with Eliza Dushku herself it was a great game actually very good
Why the hell did they need a stunt double to be put in a headlock at 0:43 ? There is not even a stunt or athletic ability involved.
FAITH FIGHT LIKE A DUDE AND I LOVE IT 🤣✊🏾❤️
Great picture
I wanted Faith to encounter Kendra at least a reanimated one yeah.
Guy running in the background 😂
Where do you download high quality bets? In HD?
This clip integrates some of the behind the scenes footage in it because in the actual show you can't see this as much. I can tell this is edited to juxtapose both like that.
Plz post Maria Salazar VS Saya Kuroki (deadly class) that fight was lit
Both fights ep 8 & ep 10
I can see the faces of their stunt doubles
Thats why the 'remastered' version sucks.
U can see faiths stunt double... alot lol
You can see both of them actually, the choreographer / director did a terrible job at hiding the faces of the stunt women. lol
It’s made worse by the fact this is the HD remaster. This show is not meant to watched in HD.
Hummm all this fighting and not a scratch on either girl
They are both slayers so they’re pretty durable
At the end of this episode, Buffy goes to see Faith and her face is pretty busted up the next day.
Names of their stunts? I can see them more than actresses.
Just repeating myself... sorry: Sophia Crawford for Buffy and Karen Sheperd for Faith.
Congratulations to you!!

Nope
Clothing wise faith had the better outfit
@@chrispeplinski7306 True, Faith was a snazzy dresser.
both of them could of done soo much better on a fight
Very similar 💪🏻

I know it’s 18 years later but they have not aged well ar all. Either one of them.
Agreed. SMG in particular looks brutal.
It was 1998, so 24 years ago, not 18.
Buffy had the best fights and stunts until Sarah Michelle Gellar grew envious of Sophia Crawford's (OG Buffy stuntwoman) and her husband Jeff Pruitt's (stunt coordinator) recognition; she had them fired at the end of season 4.
Btw the reason you couldn't notice the stunt people before and now you can it's not because of the HD transfer. It's because Fox (before the Disney merger) didn't invest much in the HD color correction. They didn't bother to make it match the darker, more yellowish temperature of the original episodes. So that's why you can see the stuntwomen's faces. Fox made a cheap remaster and didnt make it dark enough.
Didn't know that...why would she fired them? They made her look great?
@@robertonline6543 they tried to sell the image of Sarah doing all of her stunts. Besides, Jeff and Sophia already had quite the resume and demanded their names in the end credits. That and Joss Whedon's toxic workplace antics made a recipe for disaster.
For season 5 onwards they had to hire 3 stunt women to try and recreate what Sophia Crawford did. They couldn't.
@@fonchothehottie the stunt doubles were always listed in the credits, including the ones from S5 onwards. SMG didn't have them fired. Based on what's come out on the show I'd say it was mainly the toxic workplace antics and the reactions to that (including the story Jeff Pruitt released online). Looks like water under the bridge now.
None of that is true. She absolutely had nothing to do with them being fired.
Crawford and her husband had a falling out with Joss Whedon, which led to their departure. Nothing to do with SMG
Just making shit up huh lmao
Faith >>>> Buffy
No Buffy> Faith .
