It's dyno day for our super cheap Porsche 924. Jack, Ethan and Edwin will find out if the cheapest Porsche on the internet still has all the power it left the factory with, or if leaving it as an abandoned barn find in a field for 20 years didn't do it any good. Then we'll start preparing the car for it's supercharger kit install and make even less progress than anticipated.

i love that absolutely nothing gets done the first week or so, just like everywhere that has 3 friends trying to do a big project.
Yeah this series is exactly the right amount of project car-ness :p
It's been said many times already but loving seeing Edwin as a presenter in the videos, rewatching some super old CT vids he's been about a while and a great add to the crew. Very genuine and gives real car enthusiast vibes that I think could make even a non car person enjoy
Edwin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the other guy that left
I stand with Edwin, the amount you've got out its the best time to clean that bay out and make it look fresh
plus with all the rust and shit they've got out of it, it'll probably make more power lol
In todays episode of Car Throttle, Edwin displays signs of ADHD, Jack does nothing but complain and Ethan cleans some things
So a normal episode then 😊
Bonus: a producer gets punched
Bro moment dat can never happen with a dumb EV
@@evilweasilhahaha me too brooo me too
Meanwhile….
This Channel is thriving again! Love it!
100% agree with Edwin. It’s gonna look mint brother!
Now I understand why it took so long. Also: more of this, please! More. Of this. Please.
When you ask Edwin to fix your car and he rebuilds it instead. Classic
I love having Edwin on the channel, I know he's a mechanic and he knows what he's doing but him just diving in head first and even if it goes wrong he just makes doing mechanics less daunting. Which for me as an aspiring mechanic is refreshing and fills me with hope for my future.
Car Throttle videos are the golden shining light of the subscription page. These -cleaning- rebuild videos are ace, always enjoying seeing mates have a laugh together on a project.
Im with edwin on the cleaning. Do everything and make a 1 day job a whole week ordeal
I wonder how many waiver forms you guys had to fill out to use his dyno
Probably none, because a handshake and common sense in the UK means more than a thousand letigious waivers in the US...
Why would they need waivers? I think I'm missing something.
@@StephenButlerOne Nah, I’m just being a smart mouth and being silly
This was like the fly episode in breaking bad.....I think you were padding this one out 😂
@@cardiacdrummer5443 oh right. I'm usually quicker than this 👍
Edwin is killing it, absolutely great work boys! Super entertaining if not overly productive. Cheers 🇨🇦
I would have happily watched an hour long episode 😢
I have this kit on my 924 - Ciprian’s done an amazing job designing and manufacturing it. Really pleased with the quality, and the noise it makes is incredible!
Edwin’s love for old broken things is so infectious 😂. Also, editor, you’re killing it
Been waiting for some 924 content and you didn't disappoint!!!
Edwin and Jack's quick witty responses always have me in stitches!!
Actually love that this is moving from a bodge job to an actual proper project …. Not there yet, but we’re heading into that direction
The word is botch
Edwin is the definition of "oh, while im in here..." and I absolutely love it! 😅
His attention to detail makes those videos even better and more enjoyable to watch
Loving this. I wasn't sure about Edwin in the mix at first, but he is really proving to work well. This would be me too. Spending countless hours making things shiny unnecessarily....even stuff that I would be knowingly replacing!
Was genuinely sad when the video ended, can't wait for the next ep!
I have to say, that was a clean job.
I shames me to say this, but when Alex left I lost hope in CT. I wasn’t that into the videos that were posted, but in the last 5 months I’ve just been enjoying the channel more and more. Edwin is such a wild man and he is wonderful on camera. I think Jack does a wonderful job as the lead and Ethan is just precious ❤️
Excited to see how this Porsche fares, hope you do can do a bit of a respray too! Edwin constantly cleaning had me rolling lol
man, that thing is looking _clean!_
so hard to wait week to week. I love this build.
Hats down for the edditor and all prople involved of the video its amazing. Thank you for all the fun amd positive emergy.
This is top of the car series oit now.
Keep up. ❤
Oddly enough this has to be one of my favorite episodes of car throttle, feels very relatable aswell but love to see y'all restoring something basically ❤
The new videos are so good! Love seeing you guys work in cars together.
I know it's just cleaning, but damn it feels good to see this car get some damn good progress. Cant wait for the next one
8:05 "This one has the van engine." Timeless words of wisdom.
I am getting major Roadkill vibes from this video. "Putting way too nice parts on way too bad cars". Love it
Lovely chemistry once again lads
Timing rope, bloody brilliant. 😂😂😂😂
Glad you are sponsored by Car Vertical.
My sister recently bought a car and after deciding it wasn't for her, went to sell it.
Turns out it was written off and put back on the road.
The car is safe, but she's just had a grand of it's value taken away.
Keep up the good work, guys.
I'll also give you £100 for the Porsche.
Edwin lowkey carrying the channel!
This is the best car rebuild/tart-up series I've watched - keep em coming!
“If you remove your washers then you can take off bonnet” then they immediately cut to a shot of them making a sandwich is the epitome of this channel 😭
I didn't want this video to end.. Can't wait for next week. Also, Edwin is the man! Engine bay gotta look as good as it sounds with the supercharger 👊🏽
You guys are putting out some great videos again lately keep it up 👌 loving the Porsche build!
This is an incredible episode, very fun. Keep up the good work :) 👍
On my 944S, replacing a simple sensor and vacuum line turned into an entire engine vacuum system overhaul, and cosmetic refresh of the entire engine. Painted the valve cover silver (with the Porsche script hand painted black) and the intake manifold a matching silver.
Note for those who cared to read: my car’s name is Wurm (worm in German) on account I found dried earth worms under the intake manifold on the side of the block. No idea how they got there.
Right, am I the only one to spot the possible Volvo wagon (estate) in the background 10:10 and think of the wagon they had on about a year ago and want to see more of there project wagon?
Absolutely loving this build… the general principal (old Porsche) and the way you are going all-in on it!
This was genuinely such a good video! It doesn’t happen often that I’m laughing out loud due to a yt video.
I love these videos fixing up special cars, the workshop scenes are so funny and you can really see the chemistry between everyone. Edwin and Jack are a great combo 😂
I once felt sorry for Edwin spending 8 hours cleaning Percy the Pig (VW Passat). Now I know he was loving every minute of it
Great video lads. Loving this series.
Alex who?
Edwin is nuts.
This is fantastic. I have an ‘80 924 (not supercharged) and so many of these little details hit home. Down to the detail of the ignition coil bolt breaking.
Damn, halfway through the video I realised the bonnet was used as blackboard hahaha! Great video again!
i like the idea that you took the channel into more mechanical stuff
Back to being one of the best automotive channels on RUclips. The last few videos you guys have put out have been absolutely brilliant.
The best line on car Throttle since its inception, >< Jack:- "Guys get your timing rope changed". Great vid chaps.
Even without Alex, you three have such a good dynamic. I can't wait to see you new contents. Whatever you do together is funny, so keep up the good work.
I didn't like alex so its W's all round
That outro was proper tv show quality more of that in future olease 👍
Car Throttle with the banging content these days. Edwin is fantastic.
I didn't know I needed a fast paced hammering montage inside an engine bay until this moment in time. Love the videos gents
Loving the subtle editting quirks like the gun shot/muzzle flash on the wiper arms, easter eggs are king
I love this kind of content.. same thing with the Golf GTI. In an era where most of youtube channels are just people smashing cars this is actually really good! :)
Ever since you guys went to the car yard and toyed with the idea of picking up that 60s car, I’ve been craving a super old restoration. Love this content, love the projects but it’s only natural to tackle an oldie soon. An MGB would be killer
These three have great chemistry, add the sweet editing on top and you have my favourite car channel on youtube
Really nice, relaxed pace. Very enjoyable.
A nice change from 1 billion hours condensed into 22 minutes!
Such a tragic project car for the fun of it. Been there myself! 🤣
Jacks annoyance at Edwin cleaning gives off "James, STOP FILING" vibes
really enjoying this build guys, best thing since alex left :P
15:06 it got me. I noticed it Mr editor 👀
I agree with Edwin on the cleaning. You really do need to clean all you can so you can see better if anything leaks etc. And it's gonna be a LOT more fun to work on the car if you don't need to be afraid of getting a gonoherpesyphilis every time you touch anything.
As someone who cant stop cleaning once they start, I understand the struggle of Edwin.
Let’s go, thought this was scrapped 😂
They've mentioned about supercharging it many times in their previous videos 😂
That would be the smart thing to so and this is car throttle
I enjoy this car throttle so much more than the old one with Alex. Jack and Edwin are a great combo imo.
Can’t wait for the next video! The supercharger wind at the end is just beautiful!
I’m sorry but the gunshot at 15:08 has creased me 😂
Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.
My first Porsche was a 81 928 I bought for the equivalent of 650 pounds. Served me well for 8 years until the head gaskets finally let go. Still have it, but it's in pieces. Gotta say that cheap Porsches are the fun ones!
I much prefer these in depth episodes that show what working on cars is really like (procrastination and things going wrong) to the ones where the work is glossed over

Jack : SLOOOWWWW
Edwin : OH LOVELY!!! xD
Cracked me up hard!
Always great when you see a notification and it's acar throttle new vid 😊😊😊
I was sad when Alex left but I kinda love that we get at least one Alex video a week and on CT video.
Great episode. Really enjoying the 924 content as I love these cars. So wanted to buy one, but never happened. And seeing you guys do the work to make it run that I would never be able to do is very cool.
Loving car throttle content right now, you guys are winning! 👏
Brilliant! Can’t wait to see next episode. Helping me through a difficult time 🙌🏻
Who else is excited when you see that car throttle uplouded
clicked so fast.
It was a pleasure to watch. It feels like you've found the way anew - this video has its unique taste and style. Keep this going!!!
I have to say this is the first CT video post Alex I’ve really enjoyed. The vibe, the editing and the presenting combo really works. Maybe this is where you exactly should be, see lots of positive comments here to the same. Nice one lads
I love the cheap porsche series, please upload more of it :D
TIYG! i used to work there when I was 18! Haha, i hope Dicks still working there, lovely chap!
Love it! Great series guys. You had me smiling the whole way through. I don’t know how many times I’ve set out to do a thing on an old car then ended up stripping it and all the bits round it down, cleaning them…. And then forgetting how the went back together!
Quality. Top Gear never came close to the chemistry CT have got going on. Nice to see the Porsche getting some love as well, poor old beast has had a tough time until now.
Big up Horsham Developments, they do all the bits to my s13, great bunch of people!
Brilliant watch, the dynamic between you boys is ace
I feel Edwin 100%, cleaning is fun and the instant results are always so satisfying.
Great episode. I'm so invested in this build, an hour of this would be amazing and you could fill 40 minutes with cleaning!
Bless you Edwin.. 21:58 so satisfying to look at
Now this is a proper restoration!
One of the most entertaining videos from CT of lately! Really enjoyable project and content guys 👌
I like how you're actually working on the project cars you buy!
this is one of the best series on te entire You Tube right now!
I say you paint the 924 the green of the bonnet, it looks the dogs bollocks and is a rare colour 👌
Going to keep commenting for another video on Ethan's Mk1 Octavia. Would really like to see more content on it!
Thanks lads, I had one of these late 80s. Not the quickest but handled really well and looked great. Underrated. Silver btw 😁
Genuinely one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long while, keep it up
You guys are single-handedly keeping this is your garage in business.
