Loved your article. When I was a kid, I was fishing Buffalo Cr up by Rt. 422 in the bait fishing area. What was common was all the fishermen “surrounding “ the trout in the water. They would line up, elbow to elbow on both sides of the creek and on the upper an lower sides, effectively corralling in the trout. Then they would all be casting in the water snagging each other’s line. Then some kid would cast in a lure and snag everyone. What an experience!!!!

@@TimCammisa it is still an incredible hatch. I would say it isn’t as strong as it was 20 years ago but it holds it’s own.

HA, ha ! Tim I loved the video. Too funny. I tied some mop flies couple weeks ago in various configurations. Age (75) and weather kept me off the for a week or two. I got out the other evening tied one a chartreuse mop fly with four rubber legs and WHAMO a big bluegill hit it! Ten minutes later, another gill nailed the fly. The body was beat to heck. You sent me a mop fly two years ago. I keep it for tying references. Ha,ha.

LOVE IT WOW Tim you need a shot of the fly you used stuck in your jaw so you can show them exactly where you caught the fish. Details are important.

Sounds like the 8 year old I ran into. “Hey mister, catch any fish.” I tell him a few as he raises a stringer of 16+ inch fish. Then he proceeds to pull a 20 inch rainbow out of where I’m fish on Velveeta cheese. I appreciate the tips, Tim, but that kid was a PRO.

One thing I do and it's a real time savor...I wear one of those plastic worm holders, the kind your belt can slip through...I load that right up.....this way my worms are always ready. I think of it as a kind of worm holster.... :-)
