Figures the wind would die down about the time you had to leave, seems to be the way it goes lol. The fish looked great, I usually try so many pieces when I'm cooking that I'm full time it's done!
Such a beautiful content here! Keep it up my friend! You're allowed to scream, you're allowed to cry, but don't give up! Keep going! You are great with what are you doing! It deserves all success around and I don't forget to give my full support for you!💖😊🔔
I don’t know what I enjoyed more, the fishing or watching you cook the fish. I just had supper and I got hungry all over again, I bet they were delicious, sure looked it! Great job Sean. In early June go for the perch, I will tell you where….jumbo….
Man boating/kayaking in strong wind is no fun for sure. Good thing you know the pike spots. As good as the fish looked, that salad would be my go to choice. Good stuff from Mrs. Spider for sure.
Awesome catch and delicious looking meal with healthy salad 🥗 😋 thanks for sharing buddy 🙂 tight line 🎣 stay safe and stay after theme 👍 blessings from Paradise ⚓🙏
Great video Sean! Couple nice pike for eats. Thanks for sharing the recipes. Looks delicious. Love eating pike. Cleaning them is a chore but definitely worth it.
Yum! Crawling Valley report for today A tad slow - got one pike. 24" 8 pound-er. Fell out of the new Kayak, and the inflatable live vest works! I call it a test. The best cast of the day was catching my lost rod and magnet fished out my hook-out tool. Decent weather - little wind.
@@AnglingSpiders Yeah that spot clearly is good. Too bad it isnt as much of a secret anymore! But I'm sure you will find plenty more good spots in the future!
Finally! I am able to watch your video again. Nice catch! And good cooking! I like that pike meat, especially the texture after you cook them. They taste meaty and stays together, not crumble apart. Too bad I only tasted them once..love it!
.Fishing is also my hobby, especially when I catch fish, this is a great trip, I'm from Vietnam, nice to make friends, hope you don't refuse, thanks, best wishes you succeed
2 beautiful pike there and that fish keep chain is interesting definitely have seen one like that before, Easy to make at home I like it 👍🏼 As for the cook I'm not a fan of salad but as far as salad goes that actually looked not to bed I would at least try it 😅 The pike itself looked bloody amazing just looking at the meat I can tell they would be a tasty species to eat Keep up the awesome work 👍🏼
Excellent catches! Those are perfect eater size right there 👌. I love eating Pike when I have the chance... but it's not too often lol. I have never tried it that way so I have a new mission next time I catch one to eat. I have heard of folks cooking them bones and all in a pressure cooker and then grinding it up to use as patties. Never tried that either but sounds good for sure 👍. Awesome video!!!
That’s a beautiful dock there. Nice couple hour trip Sean. Nice to see the change up of a catch and cook! Great looking salad. Kelly would love this Blackened Pike!! That looked really good. Well done brother 👊
Never thought to have pike with a salad... looks fresh and delicious. We still have some ice on our lakes (May 10th). I might get to do my first cast into a lake this weekend... maybe lol. Cheers and tight lines!
@@AnglingSpiders I walked to a small lake this past weekend and caught a nice pike 28" or so. This weekend is our walleye opener and I'll be setting the kayak. It's going to be a beautiful plus 7 and mixed precipitation lol, typical May long weekend weather
That floating dock out there looks really neat. Great catches! I’d be up for that salad, looks delish!👌 I love blackened anything, but haven’t ever had blackened pike. Blackened cod is one of my favorites! Great catch and cook Sean!👏
Really didn’t think ppl eat Pike I thought the same for Carp 😂 the pike turned out looking good like how the ingredients roll off the screen as you read them off it was on time to so that a bonus for that , great video Sean Nice Catch And Cook , Kieran and you should do a catch & cook face off and let the rest of the Angling Spider Family be the judges of Tasting lol
2 in tough conditions, well done. Haven't seen a stringer like that in years, brought back some good memories :) Love blackened fish, nice recipe and looked yummy. Great job!!!
Sheltered ? Looks pretty wide open out there to me Sean and the wind is blowing. Been a windy Spring here on the East Coast and we just got home from 10 days in the Southwest. Keeping a few fish is always a good thing when you can. That second pike had some awesome marking with those angled vertical stripes as well as the bean pattern. Sweet ! I’d love to see how you fillet a pike that size sometime if you ever make an video of that . Now that’s a fine looking salad and all together a meal fit for a King. Good stuff !
The entire reservoir is sheltered by pine trees, so it keeps the waves from building to high, even when the wind is roaring. If that was out in the prairies lakes here I couldn't have even gone on the water. I will definitely consider doing a pike cleaning in the future. Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it.
I really enjoy the catch n cooks now more then any other video. I'm going to try and do more of these videos this year for sure! Everyone loves fishing and food...so combine them all the time! Good fishing!
nicely done. it sucks when you get off the lake and it becomes calm, but you have to go home. I might try some shore fishing there. see how the old 5 of diamond💎 works
Hey angling spiders! nice catches. I was just wondering what are some good spots you know in the reservoir that are easy to find ( i dont have any tech radars )

Here is Scotland we cannot cook pike . We do have better tasting fish especially the sea one , but we also protect our sport . Pike are also scavengers and feed on the easiest pray , they are part of the system . I don't mind if you eat your pike , I am cool this that . you should try Quenelle de brochet .
Is it common for people to eat pike? I caught one in Chestermere like a week ago, had no idea what to do with it, so bbq'ed it like I would a salmon, more like lemon pepper and oil, and I couldn't get over the taste. I'm more of a trout/kokanee eater from BC so not used to eating whitefish.
Yes, there are a lot of people who eat them, but people hate cleaning them because of the bones. My preferred method is to de-bone them, soak the meat in salt water for about an hour, then fry them up.
That fish looked great. If I lived near you I would defo be around yours for dinner. Your audio when on the water was so clear. And we know it was windy as hell going by those waves. My audio in that last video was nowhere as good. Give us a clue Sean.
We have a cheap foam cover on our GoPro that we picked up on Amazon. I think the link is in the description. They work fantastic in the wind. Thanks for the comment.
First time I see you keep and cook fish, nice catch out there even in windy day. Cooked with salad look delicious sean.
Thank you, we don't get to keep them very often.
Figures the wind would die down about the time you had to leave, seems to be the way it goes lol. The fish looked great, I usually try so many pieces when I'm cooking that I'm full time it's done!
I could have eaten all of it right out of the pan!

Glenmore reservoir is such an underrated local gem. 6 species of game fish and you can eat them all.
The trout have a muddy taste but the pike are 👌🏼

see how the old 5 of diamond💎 works

Hi there, what kind of fishing line were you using, and did you have a wire leader on there or was your leader also mono/flouro?
I was using 20 pound braided Spiderwire. We use wire leaders when fishing for pike

where did you get access

Can you pick up SBA baits? I went to order and the shipping was crazy! It ended up to be almost $30 dollars for a lure.
Not sure if you can pick them up - might want to check the contact page. I thought the shipping was high as well so perhaps there is another option.
