I was watching this live and it was absolutely insane, even though ShoWTimE was already down 0:3 in the series. Probably the best game i've ever seen and I have seen a loooot of games
As a Protoss player, Showtime made me a little bi nervous for 2 reasons: - not using more of the robotics bay units since they can be very efficient against roaches, ravagers, zerglings and queens - using the Stalkers for way too long and consequentialy switching to skytoss far too late Then he basically "shoot his own foot" with some bad decisions (recalling when he should not, using storms in favor of feedbacks which would probably prove more useful in his situation). But nevertheless, awesome showtime from the two of them while the protoss player definitely stood up to his name
"Who is this Lowko guy and why is he so fun?" Actual quote I said when I came across your video for the first time. I didn't really get into Starcraft too much and seeing how Lowko keeps such a high and fun energy around the game, it's making me think the community may be mature and fun to play with. Lowko, if you're reading this, you're a really awesome dude. Thanks for the fun video and end to my night.
I'm not sure why Showtime didn't hunt down the last of the queens and infestors at the end. Taking pot-shots at Serral's structures until the infestors got their energy back seemed like a bad way to go. I guess he didn't have any detection left if they burrowed. Okay nevermind, I answered my own question. 😂
Damn the endgame was wonderful. Deserving the game of the year title for sure The whole game was full of unusual(drops, Muta vs phoenixes etc)moves while not really being mistakes Thanks again for the great content 🙂
lol...I love at the end how Serral fungals Showtimes entire army like 8 times and Showtime just leaves it in a huge clump fight after fight. Like if Showtime actually split his army and microed in any of the late game fights outside of stutter steeping he would have easily won.
showtime mostly came out ahead in those fights though. serral didn't have enough anti-air to kill the fungaled army and ended up losing many infestors.

Also got to observe a lot of the top foriegn players' private matches, like Mondragon sometimes, and Tillerman in the pre-Boxer days, which was fun. I never outgrew Lost Temple. Anyway, I haven't paid attention to the SC world for 19 years now, and I have never seen SC 2 footage, have no clue who any of the players are anymore, etc. I am giving this a kinda blind watch, though. :)
Nobody's talking about how much money showtime threw away towards the end with the batteries, static defense and rebuilding that nexus over and over. I had a sinking feeling most of this game thinking that my favorite zerg serral surely would lose this. I can't believe it
@@alderweghier3935 interceptors are pretty easy to counter, I shot them down so quickly with mass hydras. They're also expensive. Carriers nowadays aren't as strong as StarCraft Broodwar's carries anymore, easily countered by many type of other units.

and he might have won, if not for a couple of moves like being late to sacrifice probes then losing too many probes, then serral realizes there must be hardly any probes left so he goes to kill every last probe... Or then at the very end, losing 1 oracle = no detection, thats huge. or just casually missing opportunity by not taking out every single creep tumor in sight by attack move stutter stepping the tempests during boring flight over creep cause they have huge range and high DPS but you cant let them idle.
At the end of the year, Lowko needs to have a tournament bracket of his "Game of the Year" videos. It's quickly turning from a bracket of 8 to a bracket of 64.
