The poor guy just had to run into Jordan and then the Malice robbed him of another shot at it. But the guy was a Baller! (Yes with a capital B lol)

Derrick Rose and Grant Hill.
It’s a good list, but I would’ve only included the players who have officially retired as there’s always a possibility it can age poorly if James Harden or Chris Paul get a ring.
Barkley was so good!! On the Suns he lost to Bulls in finals. Lost to Houston who won, Lost to Utah,Sonics who lost to Bulls. He was right there every year. He tore the Bulls up in 93 Finals. Prob was he was playing peak Jordan. If paxson doesn’t hit that shot,it goes to game 7.
Brother I ain’t finished the video (you should be in tv). But ngl you should be in tv. You’re honest, and just come across as a good guy. Also ppl who are honest would get a lot of clicks from both the new and old generation of ball For content creators; you’re easily in my top 5 [Numbers in the board, the deep three (silly fellas) and some gaming is the other parts of top 5) But you are easily the most honest and least bias. For someone who got into ball right after the 3-1 comeback a lot of my opinions have changed. Hope you continue to grow and reach the polarized ppl so there’s real discussion Yea I’m glazing. Edit: I didn’t say it. But I do love that you give NBA history better than anyone I watch
Great freaking list and definitely VERY difficult for anyone to argue your overall top 10. Maybe they can argue the order you listed but not the ten players. Amen
good list, but Karl Malone should be number 1 by far, 3rd all time leading scorer, 8th all time in rebounds, 13th in steals, 2 time MVP (1 beating out MJ), 3 Finals appearances, and his advanced metrics get even crazier while also being one of the most durable players year in and year out.
Barkley at number 1 is perfect in my opinion. He's been doing TV so long now people forget he's one of the most influential players in NBA history. We always talk about LeBron being an evolution of Magic, but I argue there's really no LeBron if there's no Chuck.
Awesome video, Jonny! It's not easy to pick just 10 and rank them. While there are some who I think should be included, but weren't on this list (like McGrady and Miller), I think you have a solid and well-argued list. I especially like how you included Ewing. I don't hear about him as often, but I agree that he was a great center and one of the best. I also like your arguments for Charles Barkley. He was a smaller PF (I heard he might actually be 6'4) but he was incredible. He was tough and an excellent rebounder and hard to stop. Great video again :). Are you posting daily now? Curious bc of videos from Thurs-Sat :) Have a great day!

Great video Jonny. Your list is pretty accurate. Note: alot of these guys played in an era that included Magic, Jordan, and Kobe. Shout out to those guys. I wonder if MJ doesn't retire after the 93 season, is Akeem on this list?
If the call travels on Harden the way they called them in the '80s and '90s, he'd be a B league player at best. This is one of the reasons respect for the NBA has dropped off so much over the last ten years.
Was looking for this. Reggie was always hitting big shots, whereas harden thrived in the season and disappears in big moments. Plus, Reggie stuck it out in Indy through turmoil while James creates turmoil wherever he goes.
James harden might be a better scorer- but he only operates with iso or a high pick and roll. Shooting wise Reggie is better- if he would have taken the sheer volume of 3s that harden has taken his scoring would be close as well. Reggie wasn’t a great defender but he def gets the nod due to harden being lazy and a liability. Clutch time miller is miles ahead. Where exactly does harden make up all that ground? He lived on ticky-tac fouls and wouldn’t last in the tough era.
@Jakezimms1990 Reggie is extremely one dimensional even on offense. Harden is possibly the most versatile scorer in history with an arsenal of moves and shots. He also was a dominant facilitator when Reggie is a black hole on offense.
Chuck is absurdly underrated. People either forget or don't know that he could score 30+ points against Jordan and Pippen. That says a lot. If he didn't shot so many three point shots he could be one of the most efficient scorers in his era
To me, Elgin counts as a player without a ring. Dude only played the first few games of that championship season before he retired, and then when the Lakers offered him a ring, he refused it anyway.
I like the humbleness of Baylor, he could have taken a ring from the Lakers offer. But he said no i wasn't on that championship team. You just can't find someone like that today. I like the list, but I would agree with a lot of people on here, i would sub out Harden for Reggie!

I'm a Big Barkley fan, wtih that said, Baylor should have been number 1 on this list. The point you miss with Baylor is how many times he was in the finals. More than Barkley, Malone and Stockton combined. That speeks volumes. Good list overall.
i 100% agree with Barkley being #1. i have him around 14-15 all-time on my list and i think he's clearly the best to never win a championship. he was amazing. he just was unlucky to run into the GOAT in the finals. i would move Iverson up a bit - maybe swap with Nash.
Phew, that's a difficult list to make. When I saw some of the honorable mentions it's quite difficult to not have some of them in that list. I am also not sure about Barkley being at the top of the list, I don't think he was consistent enough for that.
CP3 was always hurt. So like Embid, I've never been surprised not to see him go through the whole thing. Harden was great during the season, not so much in the playoff. It's not the same thing than playing against MJ.
I know on the court Malone was trouble but I just wish we could at least put a permanent asterisks beside his name for reasons, I could name about 13 of them. For the sake of keeping it factual I say include it but you GOTTA mention that massive disclaimer as to why people might not rank him so highly. We can’t just act like it didn’t happen.
As a Lakers' fan since 1978, what if........CP3 trade had been allowed? Still on PurpleGold side, the game following Elgin Baylor's retirement the 33W streak started.......Most of the ringless players faced various dynasties
I agree with other commenters that this is a good video but needs to include only retired players. I would replace Harden and CP3 with Reggie Miller and Dominque Wilkins.
1. Charles Barkley 2. Karl Malone 3. Tracy McGrady 4. Steve Nash 5. James Harden 6. Chris Webber 7. Allen Iverson 8. Dominique Wilkins 9. Patrick Ewing 10. George Gervin
I was a huge Charles Barkley fan but I was a little let down when the Suns lost to the Rockets AGAIN in 1995 despite being up 3-1 in the series. I guess Charles was just not championship material.
1. Elgin Baylor (shocked he wasn't your #1 too) 2. Karl Malone 3. Chris Paul 4. Charles Barkley 5. Allen Iverson (10th?? Fr Jonny?!?!) 6. John Stockton 7. Steve Nash 8. Dominique Wilkins 9. Patrick Ewing 10. James Harden
My top 10 ringless player are 1. Karl Malone 2. Elgin Baylor 3. Charles Barkley 4. John Stockton 5. Allen Iverson 6. James Harden 7. Steve Nash 8. Chris Paul 9. Patrick Ewing 10. Russell Westbrook
I would put allen Iverson over james harden and Steve nash because unlike those 2 he actually led his team to the finals it's not all about stats and analytics
I really don’t think Harden belongs in this list. As a Houstonian I’ve seen him play often, I think he abused the rules and also his iso game, his traveling step back 3s, and baiting for the FT… it was unbearable to watch.

Yeah, I did that comparison because it’s VERY close, and sometimes I do change my mind over the course of years. I got no problem with leaning either way tbh.
Charles Barkley wasn't in the wrong era, homie was on the wrong team. If he'd been on a team with a great guard to tag team with, he woulda won att least 1-2 rings.
@@larryruecker9320he was definitely better than Ai, he clears him as playmaker and passer, the more efficient scorer, better game manager, and was better in the playoffs.
Can someone tell me if there is a stat tracking the shooting percentage of the people getting passes from a specific player? Meaning, what were the percentages of the people receiving passes from Nash, Kidd, Stockton (or any other notable passer) That would be really cool to know to compare with their regular averages. I feel like that's the ultimate goal for any PG (traditional PG); create the best possible shot within a given offense
Ight, let's see if I can guess all of them before I watch, no order Barley, Malone, Stockton, Reggie, Nash, Ewing, E.Baylar, Harden, Russ, Joel, PG, CP3 Edit: how did I forget freaking A.I, didn't think about the Ice Man either, I also noticed no one mentioned Melo
I disagree with John Stockton being above Harden and CP3. Harden was a better scorer and I'd take his scoring over Stockton's assist numbers due to them being over inflated with him playing in a system where he was made to get assists. And the steals was just because of his longevity. CP3 is 3rd soon to be second in assists and steals as well as also being a better scorer in his prime than Stockton. And I modeled my game after Stockton.

That’s interesting, because years back, you made a video saying you believe Iverson was better than Gervin
Yeah, I did that comparison because it’s VERY close, and sometimes I do change my mind over the course of years. I got no problem with leaning either way tbh.
@@jonnyarnettin your ranking you also had AI ahead of Nash, Ewing, CP3, and Harden. What happened?
Charles Barkley wasn't in the wrong era, homie was on the wrong team. If he'd been on a team with a great guard to tag team with, he woulda won att least 1-2 rings.
I don't think I can say Nash is better than AI.
Efficiently wise yes. But overall I agree with you, no way he was better than the answer!
@@larryruecker9320he was definitely better than Ai, he clears him as playmaker and passer, the more efficient scorer, better game manager, and was better in the playoffs.
Great just actually you should've done an honorable mention to be petty lol
I personally don't think it makes sense to put active players on a list like this.
I wouldn't include active players on a list like this.
As soon as I saw Iverson at number 10 you lost me
🏀
paul and harden are still playing so personally id replace them with reggie miller and vince carter
Can someone tell me if there is a stat tracking the shooting percentage of the people getting passes from a specific player?
Meaning, what were the percentages of the people receiving passes from Nash, Kidd, Stockton (or any other notable passer)
That would be really cool to know to compare with their regular averages. I feel like that's the ultimate goal for any PG (traditional PG); create the best possible shot within a given offense
Ight, let's see if I can guess all of them before I watch, no order
Barley, Malone, Stockton, Reggie, Nash, Ewing, E.Baylar, Harden, Russ, Joel, PG, CP3
Edit: how did I forget freaking A.I, didn't think about the Ice Man either, I also noticed no one mentioned Melo
8:45 peter griffin if he dunk
didnt watch it yet, but 1 better be malone or barkley...
Harden AND nash over iverson?? You missed on this one Jonny otherwise great vid
