I have the SE, took me a while to get used to using it, but wow, the thing FEELS so good, natural, expressive. Can't live without it now! I use it with strings, brass and synths to add bowing, breath or filters ect on the synth plugins.
this is the type of product that truly inspire me, because it breaks the paradigms that we’ve known up to this point in the form of tools like pitch/modwheels, etc. thanks again for sharing!
This would be the perfect tool for adding excitement and expression to my music. I love the way you can let the movement of your body make changes in the "sway" of sound. It's so fluid and natural! Would love to have one of these.
This is a must have! I think this would be really helpful for string instruments like violin and cello. Getting the right articulations is not always easy, especially since some instruments may be lacking. I hope the Touche can help with that!
I've actually set my eyes on the Touché for a while now, and I must say that watching your videos about it has been really helpful to get an idea of it's potential (and it's possible limitations). Now the real struggle is deciding between this or an Osmose preorder😅
I am getting one, I saw this a while ago and forgot what it was, I have been searching online and RUclips for a couple hours now and finally have found it! Can’t wait to record with this thing it’s so badass
I think this kind of interactivity is one of the unique ways music can move forward in our current and near future time. I'm very excited to keep seeing it evolving!
Love the versatility of Touché and the creativity it creates. I hope someday I can have this tool. I am an insipiring musician who have lots of passion for music but lack of money to buy some expensive instruments. Greetings from the Philippines, Sanjay C!
Thank you Sanjay for your reviews! Just recently started music production, a complete beginner. Your tutorials and gadget reviews has been extremely helpful to my journey! Last but not least, hoping I can win this Expressive E Touché as a Christmas present from you! Many thanks and keep up the good work!
😁🤘🌟 I cannot even begin to explain how much this will be useful to me. I recently invested in a Roli keyboard for a project and it'll be just the perfect addition to my music studio family. 🎼🎻🥁
I live in New Zealand and was thinking about the Touché BUT at $399 it was over the price threshold for importing without import duties attached and this put the price far beyond what I was prepared to go to.....The Touché SE is priced perfectly and I have one coming.
Thanks for this review, Sanjay! I'm a string player (cello, bass, guitar) and I'm naturally used to the melodic elements coming from my left hand and the rhythmic elements coming from my right. This has been an issue for me with learning keys as I find myself chording with my right hand and fingering melodies with my left, but that's wrong for piano! My right hand always wants to keep the rhythm as if I were using a pick or a bow and it's been a stumbling block for me with piano. I thought the original Touché looked interesting (if a bit gimmicky) because it seemed perfect for string players like me. I could press keys with my left hand like pressing strings or frets and use my right hand for the sound "exciter", like I'm used to. But the Touché was just too expensive and had a bunch of external synth connections I don't need. I was also concerned about VST compatibility, like the issues with the Roli Seaboard. The price point on the SE version is really good though, and I would actually consider picking one up now. 🤔
Before you put up your touché give away I was seriously looking at getting one because I am returning the roli blocks song maker kit because it feels toyish and the velocities are unstable. So thanks for possibility of winning one. And also for showing us the features.
Such a unique instrument controller nothing else like it on the market. Great marketing price compared to its bigger brother. The ideal keyboard controller companion. Great demo Sanjay.
Great video Thanks for sharing your impressions with us. I think the SE would be the best solution for my future project. So now I have to save some money to buy one of this awesome devices. Best wishes from Germany.
Great video Sanjay (didn't watch it to the end yet, so sorry if any of what follows was covered)! Was glad to notice you have both the seaboard AND the touché - for whatever reason, at least googling for both fails to produce any results that would look at using them combined. Is that impossible for some reason that eludes me, or if not, would you be nice and plug in the touché and seaboard at the same time and give us a glimpse? I mean, imagine all the expressiveness!
Combining them would create a sound vortex which would consume the galaxy! LOL! Thanks for the comment! I honestly think they feel quite different. I really like them both.
Have seem the video a while ago, very informative, didn't buy one at that time, but still a pretty interesting device, that is on my "should buy" list.
This would make a sweet addition to the studio setup as having an extra dimension of expressiveness can help give my music a needed boost. The Osmose would be very nice as well =]
