    I woke up dizzy a few years ago. I already knew about the Brandt Daroff exercise, so i did it straight away and it worked. I did the exercise slowly about five times. Everyone should know about this exercise in the event of having vertigo.

    I've been doing these exercises as needed the past five years or so, and they work.

    Extremely helpful thank you. However - the way the screen 'slides off in one direction' quickly is not helpful, I suggest you have a different type of change between sections.

      BD is "shotgun technique" when you don't know the ear or have tried other things and they didn't work. Watch my Epley video for a more specific technique

      Ask your dr if it’s BPPV. And you can see an ent. I had it. It’s pretty intense. Also don’t panic cuz it can give you panic attacks as well which happened to me.

      I see this often and it certainly makes it more difficult. I would recommend consulting with a vestibular therapist trained in workign with individuals with neck restrictions.

    I really desire to fix this naturally & not get this dizziness anymore. The chiropractor caused my problem cause I haven’t had this issue for along time, just since my last chiropractor visit where he turned my neck too far to the left & cracked it the 1st time & it wouldn’t budge then he did it again a bit harder & hrs later “dizziness” galore hit me!!! Now I don’t know what to do if I need a spinal alignment again? I don’t want my neck touched physically anymore!

      This same thing happened to me after I did a thai masaage where she crack my neck. The next day I woke up with vertigo which last 10 days. I went to ent and did the other maneuver but didnt work with me. I went to a neurologist and he introduce me this maneuver and it did magic. Thank you so much!

    I am suffering from BPPV for last 19 months. It occurs 3-4 times in a month.
    I am practicing this Brandt Daroff exercise 5 sets in both sides for two times in a day for more than 1 year.
    BUT MY BPPV IS NOT REDUCED/ Not relieved and no fruitful result has been gained.

    What do you mean by "strengthen the inner ear?" It's not a muscle, so how is it getting stronger? I'm trying to understand what this is actually doing.

    • @MovementProjectPT
      @MovementProjectPT  3 месяца назад

      Think of it like stimulus and response. You are trying to change the threshold at which the inner ear gets overwhelmed. Your central nervous system is what gets "strengthened". Also realize that most muscle strengthening is not the muscle, it's the nervous system

    • @MovementProjectPT
      @MovementProjectPT  Год назад +2

      Try slowing it down enough that you don't get dizzy. Wait longer in each position until the dizziness goes away before you try the next position.
