The fact that IU's character story in My Mister is so familiar with her real story makes me even more sad with the kdrama, good thing they both had good lives after all

@@ann07ps49 I have watched it a good dozen of times, and every time I watch it I notice a detail I haven't noticed before. For example, the moments when Park Dong Hoon stops and just stay breathing for a while, the reason why Ji An runs to him is because he's thinking about dying.. those are moments where he stops to breathe and think "should I end with it or just keep living this way"
I think shin ha kyun was a masterpiece in beyond evil he was having a mixture of all emotions his eyes were sad even though he was smiling at times I though that he was completely evil .he was at his best in beyond evil he is a legend
His acting was legendary! His eyes reflect literally every raw emotion and make us feel with him. Totally feel his pain and resignation, his guilt, everything 😢😢 Beyond Evil was such a great drama frfr

Beyond evil is really incredible. If you like mystery/crime/thriller would totally recommend this drama. You never get bored, plus the main character gives you chills and also makes you support him.
Beyond Evil was such a long series but i was not bored at all throughout the series
The main character made me doubt him at first but man... the more about him was revealed, the stronger my urge to give him a very long hug 😢

I can't describe how much Beyond Evil shocked my mom and me. Watching that drama was a massive rollercoaster because I was constantly divided between supporting the main character or not, and as we learned more about his story I couldn't help but cry. This drama is amazing, definitely one of my favorites (it's #2 in my top 5) and I can't wait to watch it again. A masterpiece.
Flower of evil is such a underrated masterpiece and is far better than most of the top dramas
Flower of Evil is very popular internationally (for good reasons) and i was seriously hooked watching it...

"Secret" was very emotionally tormenting to watch. She wasted so many years of her life on a dude who essentially was just a weasel. The whole show was a crash course on toxic relationships. While the male lead had 'some' redeeming qualities, he too was overall a shitty dude. It is eventually revealed that all bad things that happened to her were orchestrated by her boyfriend- who didn't want to lose his career over a hit and run case. However, the male lead too, nonetheless, did some really shitty things to her and it just broke my heart. Even though they ended up dating at the end, it was still toxic.
I still can't fathom the fact that they ended up dating after all of that... After watching that show I had swore that I would never ever compensate my own well being for any other guy hahaa just... no.
Wanted to punch both of the men in this show 🙅

I really Pitty her character so much she wasted her 12 years on her ex-boyfriend, wating for him and even she earned for him 7 years😔 really she deserves better life.
I loved my mister! I didn’t know what what to expect from that drama, so it blew me off. The very last scene where IU meets ajushi again is sooo heartwarming
Omo. Truly. A masterpiece. An emotional roller coaster. My Mister and Reply 1988 were the only dramas that made me very emotional.
My Mister was so, so good 😢 Not a typically seen drama and I'm glad that it really showed us heartwarming human relationships that are not necessarily romances 🥰

Of all my 20 years watching kdramas, Kang Yoo Jung ( Secret, 2013) got to be the MOST miserable, tormented, pitiful character. The story is extraordinary that it should be one of the greatest Korean Dramas of All Time.
When I first saw the drama years back, I can tell this drama is nothing but pain given how puffy yoo jung’s eyes were and how every scene I see she is always crying just from the trailers, teasers, and previews. Too sad for my weak heart.
True, I don't know how I could stand watching it way back then when I was a young teenager. I cried like all the time and my mother asked me what was wrong with me. It was so depressing and I still view it as the most miserable life of a kdrama character
I think the characters in Mouse also deserve a spot here. Not saying anymore as it might spoil the series for everyone.
I mean, I was about to add ONE character in Mouse. He's not the /main/ character though!
@@BbaliDrama Agreed. One more than the others. But if you see the plight of each of the main character, it does seem to be a bad fate. Misunderstanding and facing judgement is bad enough, to be toyed with because of people's whims is also horrible. Losing your closest family member, being branded as something you are not. All are equally painful to face.

The pain in Lee Hi Ahn, Lee Dong shik and Do Hyun soo's eyes are so real. I still cry over My mister though it has been years since I watched it

Also, Jung Ba reum from Mouse had a very difficult life who was born as a psychopath. Then later when he came to know that he had killed innocent lives, he was suffering miserably. And he also ended up killing his own psychopath father. At the end he died bt at least he was happy that he didn't die as a monster.
To be very honest I almost put Mouse. Though I would choose Yo Han over Ba Reum,,,

Yeah. Honestly, almost all the main casts' back stories were really tragic. I just feel bad for everyone. Though even if Bareum died, at least he got his prayers answered. But like, seeing the pain in his eyes as he last talked to Bongyi was so heartbreaking-

I didn't watch the k-drama "I'm sorry I love you" but still, just listening two lines about the story I got tears in my eyes 🥺........ it's so heart wrenching 💔💔for those who watched it till the end.

I'm still thinking about if the old friends of her didn't saw her face saying 'save me' she will still living in the miserable lives...I love how a second of scene can change a person's life
I would add both main characters from Between Lovers, they both experienced trauma at young ages, plus the female lead was accused by her own family for the death of her younger sister. Meanwhile the male lead struggles to live with that trauma and with no family or money.
Go Mu Chi from Mouse has the most miserable life I’ve ever seen. The way the actor portrays his emotions is superb
I think sufferings of Do Jung Woo of Awaken drama makes him a great candidate of this list.... Treated as a lab rat even when he wasn't born, born only as a test subject, having experimented by his own mother, suppressing his own demons, having guilt for life time for what his other personality did in village, leading a life with messed up brain, and not able to let his emotion out in front of anyone or even trying to feel emtions in his life because of his demons..... Woah he really deserves a place

I watched I am Sorry I Love You when i just a teenager, it broke my heart till this day... Then i remember there is another movie of Seo Ji Sub with Han Hyo Joo where at the end he also donated his eye... I was like this guy is an angel... Seo Ji Sub is my fave actor till this day....

I actually love this drama. Every character in Secret Love is tragic. They all suffer betrayal, lies, disappointment, etc. It’s very well written and acted, one of my all time favorite dramas.
Do hyun soo never lost his memories. He was playing a trick on his family to lighten the mood
It's like bringing shin ha kyun character from sympathy for mr vengeance to the beyond evil drama with stories murderer kinda similar like memories of murders movie
Also the FL (female lead) from save me! Her life was a LIVING HELL and also the FL from youth may, her life was pretty hard an sad :/

“I’m sorry I love you” was one of the first kdramas I have seen. It’s really heartbreaking
I want to say the character Kim Yoonhee(by Kim Hyunjoo) from Glass Slippers got quiet bad fate.
In "The princess's Man ", the two main leads suffer a lot but it was not as bad as the ones from this video.And "loving you a thousand times ',the female lead got such a pitiful life.
Lastly, the female lead from " All about Eve ",the villian will always stab her in the back
Female leads in older dramas are seriously tormented mercilessly 😢 I couldn't finish Glass Slippers 😢
Itaewon class's character specially main hero and villain both had terrible past
Park Saeroyi sure had suffered terribly... for the villain, I'd say that he was.. kind of brainwashed by his terrible, terrible father but that really did not excuse for a lot of his behaviors 😿

Do Hyun Soo from Flower of Evil had a truly sad and messed up life. It was heart breaking how everyone treated him a psycho just bcoz his father was one.💔😢
But I also wanted to add Eun Youngro of Snowdrop. She is literally the saddest character in the drama, and even probably one of the most miserable among all the dramas I've watched. Her mother died when she was 10, her father remarried, her step-mom was evil so she and her brother were forced to live with their grandma. She got scholarship and lives in a Girls' Dorm even tho her father is wealthy. Her brother was sent to military and ended up being killed while on patrol. The first man she ever loved turned out to be a NK spy and held her with all the ppl in the dorm hostage. Later all the students in the dorm found out her identity and got mad at her, even her friends hated her.
Lastly her father got in prison, her lover died, her friends still didn't forgive her and the whole nation knows her as the ANSP Director's daughter who hid a spy and was seen partially responsible for the dorm hostage taking. Even through the very end of last ep, Youngro was crying. She had no one left and was trying hard to live as per her lover's wish tho her life is nothing but a living hell at this point.
“Third Charm” was like getting punched in the gut for me. Still have not gotten over that totally sad drama!
Just seeing the clip of Lee Ji An made me tearful again 😭😭😭
In my opinion, I would say one character and it's Min Seol Ah of Penthouse 1.
Beyond Evil was a masterpiece! I loved the actors sm.
I gotta say that I actually loved how wicked and manipulative was Jo Min Hyeok in Secret (maybe because he's played by Ji Sung, who's awfully charismatic so you can't help but love him). How he tormented the FL and how he falls for her was what kept me watching. However, I was hoping that they didn't end up dating. The perfect ending to me would've been Min Hyeok apologizing to her, realizing that after what he's done he doesn't deserve to be with her and them just going their separate ways. But no! Poor Yoo Jung went from a terrible relationship to another (slightly less) terrible relationship...
Secret Love is very heartbreaking. I cried many times watching it. Flower of Evil is the same. Now, I want to watch all of the dramas listed especially Beyond Evil. I'm into searching Thriller/Suspense kdramas to add on my list with Tunnel, Signal and others. I hope I can find time to watch.

Do Hyun Soo was not wrongfully diagnosed though. They maintained his diagnosis until the end.
Secret had me in tears the whole time I was watching it did show growth of every character ....the end was satisfying in my opinion with that jerk of a boyfriend behind bars

I loved the plot twist in that drama. The surprise that she had suffered too but had blocked it all out when the earlier episodes led you to think it was only the male lead that suffered. Very good writing!
