It's a crazy expectations of the fans. It is insane really. I think if they should band together and all just started openly dating and all go on strike if fans behave like owners of a slave. If no actors around then what do the fans do?
I'm not sure if that's necessarily true. I think many people are having a hard time finding a partner because of how people are in today's society. Many women don't want to marry and have kids they want independence.

True, but it starts with the industry being the adults in this situation and telling the star-struck teen/young adult fans and toxic netizens to sit down and be quiet. The adults must stand up and be the adults. I’m an American G’mother. We don’t have this here because we won’t tolerate this nor let children dictate the situation. I really don’t understand this unnatural obsession that the agencies encourage them to be quiet about dating and then when it’s discovered that they’re dating fans get upset. It’s so weird.
I don’t understand why fans are encouraged to run actors lives with the threat of boycotting them if they choose to have a life. Do these fans really live in a Cinderella fantasy where they think their idol is going to come in and marry them?
@siouxsan5705 Exactly. Companies need to start telling fans to get a life. These Companies pander to the fans, and that's why the fans never change their odd behavior
Agencies think that they have more appeal if their fans think they have a chance with them. If they start dating then it ruins that parasocial relationship the fans have that the agencies want to exploit
The truth is fans have the power to ruin their careers. I’m talking in Korea, obviously. I’m in American and yeah, it’s very different over here for stars to be dating and get married so it took a while to be able to wrap my head around this cultural phenomenon of fans thinking, they own the stars and can dictate their lives

Imo, change is needed. Many celebs should come out dating publicly, by making it as seem normal. When 1st idol or actor comes out, he will be criticized, that's for sure. Next if other one comes out, he will be also criticised, but one after other comes out about dating, at one point public stops minding it and seems it as normal. Before in kpop some trends are seemed as taboo, but they became quiet common now. So, like that, this should also be normalized. Its takes some time but the things can change in long term.
They have the most insane fans who turn against them if they fall in love with someone. They apologize for loving someone. The netizens are beyond crazy and controlling.
Korean society is too problematic in lots of sense - bullying, over possessiveness, not respecting others privacy.... These people needs too learn being human in real sense.
I agree but I also disagree since I'm American and I find that we aren't much better when it comes to celebrity privacy so we shouldn't really be judging one society if we haven't really fixed our own all cultures have issues within there industries especially the music toxic fan bases and toxic labels are two of those thing that are international they are in every country and they are reasons why celebrities can't live normally date normally or some even die yet there is lack of accountability on those fan bases and industries when shit hits the fan all the time

As someone in the US I will never understand the possessiveness over celebrities like I have seen in South Korea. And I'm not saying we don't have fans like that here but it feels like 100x more intense for SK celebrities. They are human beings and deserve to be happy with the person they like or love. Why is there so much hate spewed at them when they are found out to be dating????
You don't understand it because you don't live in a country where the self deletion rate is #1 or #2 in the world. SK has a lot of depressed people and for a lot of them, these celebrities are their only hope of feeling loved, wanted or appreciated. So when that celebrity gets married, the fans feel as if all their support was for nothing. That's the power of the parasocial relationship. It has to exist. Otherwise there would be no reason for people to want to consistently support you. Yes they are possessive, but they are also the most loyal and organized fans compared to western celebrities' fans.
Not just US but other countries too. We are just being fan. We are not so obsess cause we do understand that there are boundaries. We do not interfere in their private life too much. Sometimes I do feel pity towards Korean celebrities.
It’s really hard to understand the fan culture in Korean. The fans are out of control. It’s so sad that K-pop singers and actors have to live like hermits
Don't get me wrong as fans we all have our delulu moments, and that's fine lol. But as a fan I want the people I support to be happy. I know it will NEVER be me and that's ok. Like I also know it's not all Kfans. It's just hard to grasp that the ones that do behave like that can seriously effect careers.
It's different as an Asian star. The Fans (Netizens) are ruthless with the bullying. They have caused/almost caused some Stars to lose their career. They have bullied some of the female stars so badly that it caused them to self delete themselves.

Je les gars il existe des pays où on peut vivre libre et où de tels comportements de fans finiraient devant les tribunaux
It is similar in Japan (has gotten better) but not as bad in China bc the government instance on forming families and having children. A large part the problem is agencies and the entertainment world using the especially idols and actors as fake bf/gfs. I don't think there is anything wrong with giving the fans or audience vicarious satisfaction through the medium but entertainment world wants the audience obsessed so that they thoroughly profit off of the entertainers.

It’s the language used in this video, “caught dating” “dating scandals”, shows how dating is looked at in SK. There are some celebrities who almost lost their career, because of breakups and divorces. Fans even think they can dictate who the celebrities should date or marry.
The ONLY way to stop these crazy parasocial delusional relationships is TO OPENLY DATE IN PUBLIC and when they start up the hate, tell them to go to hell! So what you lose some fans.
Yes, many idols or actors should start dating openly. How many will these netizens hate. At first, they hate them, but when many idols start to come out, then these haters will gets tired of it, and stop focusing on that topic, nd eventually becomes normalized. Like there are some things which taboo in kpop some yrs ago, but after many idols doing them, everyone is feeling its normal now.
If you believe the false and ridiculous narrative that fans manage their careers, you have a problem, you are tremendously deluded and without critical thinking. Better bother to know how the industry works, believing victimhood towards celebrities is something very beneficial for them. Society in general in South Korea gets married late or does not do it, and if they do, it is often a forced marriage. Celebrities have another status and more freedom to not do it and live outside of what is required by society. It is serious that you believe that relationship rumors do not benefit them when two crossovers were paid to pretend to be Jennie and Taehyung to pretend to be in a relationship. It was YG, the companies benefit a lot from these promotions
it's far from that. It's all about economic matters, money driven. Life is hard enough, being in the k-ent is seen as a ticket to a stardom which means more money. But they know they need to stay on top, sadly they're not immune to top predators (usually a super rich snobbish investors) in k-ent n it could be anyone. what people don't know it's a harsh environment they live in, they can't make any mistakes which could offend these "people" because it is just a matter of clicking their fingers to bring them down by media play of course this is where they downplay the manipulation of obsessive n maniac fans, scandalous news etc. Only a little could survive but we don't know what sacrifices they made to stay on top.
Perfect example:Lee jae wook--her agency made her apologize for dating him--they ended up not dating long after pressure/mean, rude comments from the fans. Actors/singers/k-pop stars deserve to openly be friends, date and even marry without their agency or fans budding in.
international fans of Lee Jongsuk don't care if he gets married or not, but he's dating IU and he has been walking on eggshells since the day everyone found out. He wore a hat of her's once and almost had to formally apologize. It's awful.
Trust me, I have seen some of the most toxic international fan bases ever on social media. Even more toxic than Korean netizens. Middle Easterns, Africans, and Spanish. Even though, in their own countries, their movie stars and singers are dating naturally and nothing is considered a "scandal". I think they picked up this habit from South Koreans like considering actors and actresses dating as a "scandal". I feel like I'm watching teens talk nonsense online, even though they're adults 😆
For most fans in Western countries, it is considered celebrity gossip and nothing more. Example Justin and Selena. Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendez. The British royals drama... There are always obsessed fans who loose touch with reality or are overly invested. We call them stalkers. But there also toxic fans like the ones that keep fighting over Hailey or Selena regardless of Justin Beiber's choice. But the culture in Asia is different and places expectations on public figures, celebrities to maintain image and status. It's why fans think it's OK to judge and scold celebrities.
I read an article about a woman who dated a famous and great looking guy. She couldn’t last past 1 week. Her whole life was taken over. I think even the nicest, prettiest, most self assured woman would find it hard to deal with the competition and craziness. However, love crosses all ages. My experience is that older relationships are better. Life’s ups and downs create people capable of smarter and deeper relationships. 40s-50s, no problem!
Well, international fans most generally don’t give af if celebs date, get married or even have children. The only time most international fans actually show full on interest is if the celebs break up or divorce.
The “due to busy schedules” sounds like the industry copy and paste answer. Maybe they just aren’t compatible or even maybe are interested in the same sex

Well for starters, I heard that once a star gets in a relationship, it's possible they might lose a fanbase. Secondly, being attractive doesn't make you a great life partner. Thirdly, it could be by choice.
Fourthly, after early 30’s, due to too much work and processed food, their libido and potency are really low. There is no hormonal drive left to get into a serious relationship anymore. Apparently, this is not a problem for Latinos, but a big problem for Anglo-Saxon and Asian world.
The best answer I heard was Uhmn Jung Hwa representing female celebrities: she doesn’t like the cooking responsibility for her husband and extended family. It’s expected that wives must take that responsibility. She said she doesn’t like this cultural expectation.
Based on the K-Dramas, Korean men would appear to really be into cooking so why wouldn't they continue to cook after they marry? It makes no sense. Are people getting married or hiring a cook? Cooking falls to whoever is inclined and has the interest and time to cook. Eat out or hire a cook.

Well the Kibun culture seems to make elders and rich entitled to be rude and disrespectful
Agreed. Hyun Bin has repeatedly said how much happier and content he is and how he can focus on his work even better since he married and had a child. He and Son Ye Jin are so devoted to each other and so supportive of each other, personally and professionally. I am excited to see their new work. They had to hide the fact that they were dating for two years before they announced their marriage and both of them were 40+ years old! Now they have a lovely family and I am simply delighted about that.
The simple reasoning of being too famous. They probably feel like they can't really trust those who aren't in the industry and if they do date someone in the industry they have issues of both being too busy or their fans disliking who they are with and such. I honestly feel sorry for a lot of them. I honestly feel happy when I hear my fav is with someone or married. My heart hurt when I saw the episode of MITH where Cha Eun Woo was in tears because he wants to find the right person and get married. I hope they do find someone who loves them and makes them happy.
I think celebs like CEW, will find the right person once they settle down away from the spotlight. There are some actors and actresses that were in a relationship and even had kids way before they got big that i didn’t even know. And a fee of them even post their spouses and children on social media and seem to still be doing well in the industry. I think it just takes them not giving af, walking by faith and testing the waters for them to find a good partner and to keep their status. True fans will stick around along with them finding a partner who is truly good for and to them in the end if it’s meant to be for them to stay in the industry.
Eun woo clarified that he cried because he wanted someone, not just a partner, to be on his side.. obviously he misses someone he can trust his ugly side with, as he said and it's because as an idol fans see only the image he has to project. He didn't cry because he needs marriage..
@@kssgpv I think it is the same. I think that a lot of people, not just celebrities, are too into themselves. Once you get married, you can't live a "single" life like going out with friends late into the night. You have to make sacrifices for the family.
You are wrong, you are the selfish one for wanting to force people to have a family and a gestation machine. In the West it is the same, women are not so forced to be a gestation machine and they are not going to lend themselves to being the slave of men who do not want to evolve, or stop being abusive and immature in order to be decent and desirable partners

There isn't any law where people after 30 can't get married, but it unfortunately frowned upon society because you're not going to believe how many conservatives are pushing women under 25 to have kids, especially early as 16! 😭 During those stages in life, you're in high school, getting your driver's license, working part time jobs or working towards graduating college. Korean netizens think that buying a ticket to see their movies means that they’re shareholders in these people’s lives and as such they get to decide who they should and shouldn’t date. If the actors pick someone they don’t approve of, then it’s cancel culture to the 10th power. 😢
Those who do get married may use it as an excuse to break their contract. Super Junior Sungmin got married, left the group and never looked back. But Super Junior Ryewook got married, and stans celebrated when they found out he wasn't leaving the group.
These young people who think these celebrities are objects that they control😢. This is why parents should teach their children well, so when they start watching tv they don’t become possessive and delusional. I watch many dramas , but I really don’t look into these people private life.
Kdrama writers should start writing more and more stories on that topic. Maybe after 5 series, netizen will really understand the situation and the pain celebrities are living with.
They addressed the problem somewhat humorous in Man to Man but you want be careful of serious portrayal due to some nut job “fan” being inspired by the show and actual hurting or killing a celebrity.
Yep, bisexuality and comphet (short for "compulsory heterosexuality" ) is never brought up in these cases. People generally need to be more open-minded, there are other reasons why heterosexual marriages and datings have huge divorce/breakup rates, and birth rates are declining. Take Dan Howell and Phill Lester for example, in the early 2010s they used to bragged about how much they're attracted to women, but until the 2019, he and along with Phil came out as gay. People experience comphet longer than you think and that's why I advise everyone to look it up to see if they fit that category or not.
@@armandaneshjoo If you do not know them personally you cannot guarantee this. The statistics that you are quoting has nothing to do with their sexual orientation. You still don't get how ridiculous SK culture is... Especially in entertainment industry.. im not fully blaming on the fans but the companies that hire them also....
The bottom line is. Most celebrities/idols don’t date for a number of reasons. 1. Their fans react so negatively when they find out they are dating. 2. Dispatch and other media will not leave them alone, and they get hounded and have no privacy! Ultimately these celebrities are terrified of their fans/media finding out they are dating because of the way people respond to it. Also, they don’t want to put a non-celebrity partner through that nonsense. It is unrealistic to expect these people to remain single forever but that is why so many Korean celebrities remain on their own and tbh you can tell they are lonely. It’s very sad.
It's so sad that some of them will openly talk about being lonely. So many fans talking about how amazing and good looking they are, but they feel they can't have someone close to them because some of those same fans would turn against them.
This probably contributing to the low birth rates and marriage rates in South Korea 🇰🇷 because of this obsession from the fans, not allowing celebrities to have the human right to settle down like the rest of society which is really sad 😞
I think what a lot of people don't realize, is that "You can get any woman you want", means only that you can get some really beautiful or successful women. I had 2 very beautiful wives in the past, but I still ended up filing a divorce, both times. The beauties don't make you happy. The woman of your life only needs to be "Pleasant to look at". That is enough for looks, for anyone, even the celebrities. What is really hard to find to go with that, is a woman who truly understands you, and some strange way, makes you happy from even stupidest small things. Like I love it when my current wife spells something wrong in English... stupidest thing, right? Perfect connection is super hard to find, and being celebrity does not guarantee that. I was already 47 years old, until I found her, and I will never let her go.
This is an old story. In the 2017 show Mr. House Husband, one person appearing was Eli (from U-Kiss). Although U-Kiss management 'said' they would not 'punish' Eli for his 2014 marriage, it was obvious that the management made everything very difficult for Eli to enjoy family life. It was very sad to see that a band member was so discouraged from having any family life.
I believe that male celebrities that don’t marry is gamophobia: the fear of marriage and commitment! It’s something real and psychological as excuses of career, etc are mere coverup
I always thought actors lived under the idol curse. So prevalent with South Korean fans. I watched a talk show with EXO. I was shocked by the behavior of the fans. Here was Baekhyun trying to tell a heart warming story. Of the day he could tell his son. About his hurst time on stage. The fans screamed boo. Shaking their fingers no. Now I see Baekhyun 32yrs old. Unless he’s secretly dating. He’s alone doing late night Bubble conversations. Any Dispatch relationships alway. I mean always end the same. They are in a relationship for a year. Work causes them to break up. I think actors that think marriage has passed them by. Go to another country. Western women are not obsessed. Look at Song Joon Ji. He married a British woman. They have a son. He has never been happier. I’m a child psychologist. I’ve often thought of doing my thesis on the obsessions of South Korean fans. But that would entail my having to go to SK. Those fans can be mean.
Most of them saying they missed their time could also refer to the fact that they were prohibited by their agencies Who knows who they must have loved at those times
Western women are just as obsessed and often just fetishise them. Also, meshing such different cultures isn’t that easy. Especially western culture is very different from Korean. African cultures and maybe Eastern European cultures are more similar to Korean.
@@ekg891 Agree, every culture is different. But as I travel on the World Wide Web. I have never seen a culture so obsessed with their idols private lives. I loved Chester Bennington. Death threats toward his fiancé and the baby. Wishing they get COVID and die. I myself said, “Baekhyun has such beautiful dancers. He could be dating any one of them.” I was attacked for about two weeks. Called names, gold not to stan Baekhyun anymore. It’s okay to fantasize a relationship with an idol. It’s not okay to demand an idol never marry. So they can live up to the fantasy. That has been the only negative thing I have said about Koreans. I watch their dramas. Listen to their music. I hope to one day have the time to visit South Korea. Not to see any idol. But to see all the beautiful places I’ve seen in dramas. So please, don’t take it to mean I hate the culture as a whole. I am only amazed and afraid of the idol fan culture.
Not only many actors but many Korean people tend to being unmarried life more and more because of toughness in their society. And the big expectation from fans is the big toughness for all actors also.
Outside of their fans being delulu and intrusive I feel like dating an actor would be really difficult. They're gone for weeks or months at a time shooting dramas and films. And they also have to be so pretty secretive when dating which means they can't really do normal/fun couple stuff.
Ppl who blaming fans dont know that this celebrities themselves incourage this type of behavior, if this celebrities wanna get married no one can stop them bcz many other celebs are married & successful so reason is not fans but many celebs prefer that commitment free life bcz most celebs are characterless.
Korean society is crazy. They call being in a relationship a scandal when in fact there are a lot of "scandalous" issues they are facing. Take voyeurism for example. Illegal recording is getting too serious that they need to make laws about keeping camera shutters on and there are equipments used to check for hidden cams. They are putting shame in the wrong places.
It's like the world acts like they have some sort of "claim" on these actors/actresses and idols, and they are forced to apologize because people are mad that their delusions, of them marrying the person didn't come true. And in turn people's awful projections of jealousy and unadulterated hatred spread worse than a California wildfire... it's so sad. I think Korean fans are so obsessed with the celebrities that they want them all for themselves . The celebrities are not allowed to be human and do mistakes or wrong choices.
That's the life they chose. The fact is....the industry they are in only guarantees them a living if they can convince women or men to invest in them emotionally...... it's not enough to just be talented. You have to be available. You have to sell a fantasy and a lot of the roles these actors and idols play do just that...sell a fantasy. But what happens when you no longer want to sell the fantasy after doing so for so long? People become uninterested. You lose fans which means you lose support.....which means you lose money.
Yes, exactly. That's how it is. But being an actor is not the same as being an idol. Acting is an art and a serious job that a man can do without selling the fantasy an idol has to sell..

I've always wondered where Kstans get all the money to spend on celebrities and idols. Because it's a LOT. And we're talking kids, middle and high school, spending thousands of dollars on celebrity merch. And once they've spent all this money, they automatically assume that they own that celebrity. This is why idols can't date, because Kstans lose their minds, going so far as to hold bonfires to burn an idol's merch, and hiring box trucks with LED marquis to drive around and disparage the idol. To Korea, this is normal. To the literal rest of the world, this is sociopathology.
I've wondered too. Who's paying for all these protest trucks? lol I did read an account by a former friend of an increasingly obsessed delulu. She said her friend was in bad debt paying for all the tickets and merch.

There's obviously a balance that is needed here. But hearing a lot of the men saying they missed their time reminds me of an interview with another Korean celeb. Surmised, he stated he was so focused on work he thought he could marry later. But when he hit his 40s he realized all the women his age or around his age were already married. Timing matters for some things. I wish these people well
It's literally their mind set if u look at celebrities in world more famous and big than them most of them have families and kids ... the thing is they manage it well like look at rayan man ...
Well, when they declare they don't understand women (Jo In Sung) or don't feel mature to marry and have a family (Lee Dong Wook) I think we should believe them. If it's about their fans' reactions (as many have lead on to as well)... that does need changing. 🙏🏻
Life a an Asian celebrities or Artists in Asian (mainly China and S. Korea) is different from the Western worlds. Their fan base feels entitled to their idol(s)/celebrity(s) overall private life & body. Going public about your relationship can be the death of ones career.
😂😂..Seriously..Its so sad..I was shocked to hear a celebrity apologising to fans and had to explain herself why she was seen with the other celebrity..And she completely stopped being friends with the other celebrity..So sad..
I think they are just extremely private of their personal lives so people will focus on their work. Case in point, they usually don’t post their personal lives on any social media accounts. I’m not gonna be surprised if some are actually married or have children with ex partners somewhere like the celebs here in the Philippines.
Kim Minhee and Jo Insung didn't get exposed by Dispatch. They admitted their relationship because of the growing rumors that Jo Insung was dating Song Hyegyo while filming The Winter The Wind Blows.
They are not married because when the timing is right, they are at the peak of their careers. They couldn't take the risks knowing how fans could be so brutal if they found out. Hyunbin was just lucky that she worked with Son Ye Jin. Being an artist makes their world so small. Although many would like to get married to them, but because of their celebrity status, they aren't able to form any lasting connections to really get to know them well. Thus, time flies by, and when they are already past their prime, very few would have the chance of meeting women that aren't forced. Probably, if they stay abroad, where no one knows them, then they could meet other women. But if they want the local ones, it would be 1 in a million chance.

I wish a new agency would open up in SK with public dating as a major tenet of its business practice. That would allow for all their actors and actresses to openly date from the beginning of their careers without any negative effects.
As much as I agree to the author of this video, we all need to acknowledge that the reason why these idols are single is not only because of the crazy fans, parasocial relationships, but also ironically because of probably them too. Yeah, Korean society is not perfect, but idols too. They can have their own problems and mental issues. We usually see the perfect image on tv or RUclips, or bad one in the news, but we don’t usually talk or live with them under the same roof. Only god knows what kind of people all these idols are. They may be also difficult to live with because of scheduling conflicts, expectations (“oh, I am a big star”), because of it the dating pool for guys is not as big as for ordinary people. Also I am sure they could have pretty high expectations which not every ordinary person would be able to reach in their life ever. And yeah, some of them could be a misogynistic assholes in life too, and sweet cuties on the screen. Maybe if they have such strong problems with getting married, they could go to therapy or try marrying someone from another country? 🙂
Simple there are so many unmarried Korean celebrities because they do not want to get married. It’s not just Korea, it’s a trend in many Asian countries where youth and many people simply do not want to get married or have children. It’s a shift due to many reasons. But it is what it is.
Tbh blaming fans and the industry in the case of single actors is unfair. I think this is true mostly for kpop idols. Actors aren't held in as much scrutiny as them. This could be because idols present themselves as pure, and have a parasocial relationship with fans, where they encourage fans to think of them as their girl or boyfriend. So when fans see their idols with the opposite sex, shit hits the fans. Actors on the other hand are constantly interacting with the opposite sex, so their fans aren't as opposed to them dating. In fact many k actors openly date and marry and what i see people say is they hope to see these couples in one movie
Early on, the K-pop idols presented themselves as being "pure" but, over time, even though they may make "cute" faces and gestures, their choreography continues to become more and more provocative and sexual. Both male and female. The males are now expected to get buff and take off their shirts at every concert and the females wear more and more revealing clothes and dance much more suggestively. I have no problem with that but their target audience is now older and they have to cater to more mature fantasies.
@@taichidog For sure idols are sexualized but majority fans want this to be isolated occurrences. They lose their minds over kidols from opposite sexes interacting. In fact, seeing them interact with the opposite sex in a music video alone is enough to set them off. I won't even go into them dating. I'd also say that gen 2 in kpop had concepts that were way more raunchier than now, so they did both cute and sexy, it's not new to the current generations
@@janinejay3423 I remember watching one K-Movie where the lead actor was in a homosexual relationship with the King and a heterosexual relationship with the Queen and the sex scenes were pretty graphic and very convincing. He has been a favorite actor of mine for quite a few years. Rather than be freaked out, I was truly impressed that he could portray both aspects of sexuality so authentically and convincingly. I don't know if he is gay, straight, Bi, or anything else in real life. I actually haven't given that any real thought because it is his JOB to be convincing in his roles. I think maybe actors are allowed to display a wider range of emotions and human interactions than K-pop idols are. I am more of a K-Drama fan than a K-pop fan. I actually wouldn't know any k-pop idols' names except that quite a few cross over into acting roles so I see them in that genre. I guess I am just more used to Western culture actors and celebrities where they don't make "finger hearts" or strike "cute" poses when they are on the red carpet or when they are being interviewed. That would be viewed as being totally fake and trying "too hard" as well a totally "unprofessional" and would be a turn off for most Western fans. I do wonder if maybe because K-pop idols really cater to the fan's fantasies and invite some level of emotional intimacy and less focus is placed on them being "professional" entertainers is a contributing factor to them being treated like objects rather than professionals.
Jo In sung is not married because he is waiting for me 😂😂😂😂 kidding kidding. But yes ,i know single people above 30 and once people are comfortable being alone then they don't want to give up that freedom
I am older and while I do understand the loveliness of being alone I am glad I was married and had children-these two people in my older years are a real asset so I would hope that in the actor’s older years there are children that are a balm and they can enjoy grandchildren-there really is nothing like it
I think it is the Korean Fans that create most of the problems for the celebrities and their agencies who treat them like cash cows. Most international fans don't care whether their favorite celebrities date or get married. Unless they are emotionally unstable, they don't invest themselves that deeply or feel possessive about someone they don't actually know. I was delighted when Hyun Bin and Son Se Jin married and then had a child. They seem perfectly suited to each other and I enjoy their work so much. As a "fan", their real fairy tale ending made up for the one they didn't get in CLOY. (Ha Ha) Anyway, as with anyone in the entertainment field, I have my favorites: singers, actors, etc. and I support them by buying their music, attending concerts, seeing their films, etc. I absolutely know that I am paying for their hard work and I don't have any ownership of their privacy, etc. I have my own life to live and I would HATE it to have unknown people suddenly following me around or showing up screaming and fainting when I arrived at an airport or tried to have an evening out with family or friends. I think this also contributes to the high incidence of suicide amongst the younger celebrities. It really breaks my heart when I think about it.

Many celebs should come out dating publicly, by making it as seem normal.
When 1st idol or actor comes out, he will be criticized, that's for sure. Next if other one comes out, he will be also criticised, but one after other comes out about dating, at one point public stops minding it and seems it as normal.

They are coddling and encouraging crazy and entitled "fans" by giving in all these years.
it's far from that.

If that person is a male, then they will accuse him of being gay: another deal-breaker for his fans. No matter who it might be, most Korean celebrities are stuck with their fellow celebrities or parasitic hangers on to have as sounding boards. It is way messed up. That scene broke my heart for him because I think that on the daily, the only one he can trust is his dog. He must be very lonely and that is so very sad.
Yeah that older dude sound so selfish here, where he said I look for a (much)younger woman who is the most considerate of me but leaves me alone to drink with my boys without complaining 😂 typical male audacity 🤣 he didn't tell us what he offered to a woman
He just getting married out of peers pressure
.not really understand what the main of purpose of getting married... What kind of criteria looking for a woman that always busy... No wonder he is still single... Woman need to be with her beloved... what's the use of getting married of you both to busy to spending time together...
*)Want to getting married..but I really doubt he ever gonna find 1 soon..before he changed that selfish attitude.
It’s also possible their taste may be problematic eg Leo Di Carpio dating 20-25 year olds in his 40s. In Korea, he would be torn to shreds. Also, fans may be racist or hateful if they openly date non Koreans or non East Asians.
Leo DiCaprio is in his 50s and still dating a 23 year old model. That's just sick
Hyun bin, son ye jin, lee byung hun, namkoong min, lee na young, jisung, lee boyung,- all of them have married lives and their careers too.
Exactly. I wonder why Song Seung-heon isn't married or dating at his age and so handsome. Another actor Eddie Peng, although Tiawanese and grew up in Canada, very handsome and successful in his 40s, also not married or dating.
This is so sad - these celebrities portray some of the most romantic relationships on screen but cannot experience those in real life. So sad.
Well said. How ironic. 😢
There's no such thing as "losing your timing" some people get married at 80. Is there a law saying you shouldn't get married after a certain age ?
@@cvyyjg just my opinion, but I think when they say losing their timing they probably mean they lost an important relationship due to being in an intrusive career, can't imagine what it would be like to love someone and not be able to openly spend time together publicly without worrying about the hate and abuse directed towards them
I think that depends on what people seek in marriage. A lot of people see marriage and kids as one and at 51 he may feel he is too old to have a baby.
These people don't evolve forward. Generally, these young people want to build a stable income first before they can decide if they want to settle down and build a healthier future for their future kids.

honestly korea's marriage and birth rates are just so low especially most adults are too busy with work
This also has to do with the woman/feminist movement - more and more women are refusing to be with men because of the abuse, inequality and the fact that they're expected to "cater" to their husbands and bare children for them, that many woman face around them.
Korean netizens think that buying a ticket to see their movies means that they’re shareholders in these people’s lives and as such they get to decide who they should and shouldn’t date. If the actors pick someone they don’t approve of, then it’s cancel culture to the 10th power. 😢
Thats funny what you say about shareholders
Those who do get married may use it as an excuse to break their contract. Super Junior Sungmin got married, left the group and never looked back. But Super Junior Ryewook got married, and stans celebrated when they found out he wasn't leaving the group.
It’s a cultural thing. SK birthrate is at an all time low. The rules for relationships there are too strict. They need to loosen up.

Finally a logical answer, the marriage rate is also very lowin S Korea
These young people who think these celebrities are objects that they control😢. This is why parents should teach their children well, so when they start watching tv they don’t become possessive and delusional. I watch many dramas , but I really don’t look into these people private life.
Kdrama writers should start writing more and more stories on that topic. Maybe after 5 series, netizen will really understand the situation and the pain celebrities are living with.
They addressed the problem somewhat humorous in Man to Man but you want be careful of serious portrayal due to some nut job “fan” being inspired by the show and actual hurting or killing a celebrity.
It’s their business but what if some of them are not heterosexual. Just food for thought 🤷🏽♀️
I guarantee you a segment of them are gay but to come out would ruin their career in SK. People who disagree with me; stop being naive.
@@armandaneshjoo If you do not know them personally you cannot guarantee this. The statistics that you are quoting has nothing to do with their sexual orientation.
That’s beautiful 🙏
i think they are married privately
Unfortunately you cannot do this in Korea since marriage records are public record and news people are always searching the public records.
marriage is public here so thats imposible.

Why don't the actors and actresses marry each other? No one will understand how toxic that industry and the netizens are better
Most of them saying they missed their time could also refer to the fact that they were prohibited by their agencies

Agree, every culture is different. But as I travel on the World Wide Web. I have never seen a culture so obsessed with their idols private lives.
I loved Chester Bennington. He had a wife and children. It never bothered me. But Chen announces he’s getting married. Also his girlfriend is pregnant. Fans demand he be thrown out of the group.
I REALLY ADMIRE LEE SEUNG GI , BECAUSE NOW HIS HAS A COMPLETE HAPPY LIFE 🔥
I feel for these men and women. They really need hugs
It's easier for a man to get married later in life, they usually find a younger woman who can have kids. It's harder for women
You forgot to mention Ha Ji Won my favorite 😢

Ppl who blaming fans dont know that this celebrities themselves incourage this type of behavior, if this celebrities wanna get married no one can stop them bcz many other celebs are married & successful so reason is not fans but many celebs prefer that commitment free life bcz most celebs are characterless.

They have given so much power to their fans, fear of being cancelled is real.
Most of these celebrities are afraid of commitment, sure fans are also to blame for but not entirely.
Why do they even have agencies? Having managers is okay. It's awful how they can't live their lives the way they want.
I hope they ignore those type of people and just be happy! and so what if they're in their 40's,50's or 60's!! LIVE.YOUR.LIFE! true fans will want their cherished actor/actress and idols to be happy, healthy and thriving! Not lonely, busy, depressed and/or suicidal! get a grip people!
Was ist wichtiger Geld oder Liebe ? Am besten Beides ist schon klar , aber die haben alle genug Geld

I hope they all find their right person soon. It's heartbreaking seeing actors portraying love on screen when they barely have that connection in real life. Being lonely can be sad. They are humans too. They also need company of people.
To be honest it's none of our business, they are human beings they can date, get married and do whatever they want without telling their fans and their agencies must take strict actions towards possessive or saesangs cause after all these actors/actresses are their source of income they should treat them better.

They don't have to get married. They can just have a partner that is compatible with them.
