I will go to the grave defending Choi YooJin! She was one of my favorite characters in a kdrama and I love how they showed that she was a product of the men in her life. Between her father doing what he did to try to “protect” instead of letting her make her own choices, to her husband using her and then turning on her when she played the game better then him. He practically owes her his daughters life, because she was the one who keep Anna away from that cutthroat world he wanted to be in so bad. For a woman robbed of the chance to give any motherly emotions, the fact that you can see her attitude towards Anna and her mother was far better then what most would expect. She understands what it’s like to want the love of that terrible, lying, cowardly man. And it’s constantly said she uses Anna to control her husband, but if anything, she puts Anna in the safest position possible when she comes into their life. Trying yo hide Anna again would disrupt her plans and put everyone in a vulnerable position, so bringing her forward was the best move. Locking her away in the first place was the only thing she could do to save her from her mother’s fate and if she also uses it to make her husband continue the corrupt HE already put them on, the so be it. She even mentioned at one point that he wasn’t doing it for her safety, but because she would derail his political career, so I feel like she was testing his love as a father and not actually trying to control him. She’s not even responsible for Anna’s trauma, as that is clearly due to her mother’s death. Plus, growing up with a bunch of nuns doesn’t sound like the worst thing, lots of people have done it; the only problem is that Anna had a delusional impression of her father being a good person. Her ambitions are also completely justified, as those are exactly where everyone was pushing her to be, so why let all the trauma she had to go through go to waste? I really want to rewatch the show, but I don’t think I can get past how much I don’t like the father daughter duo, a coward and a naive adult child, and Yoojin’s fate 😭
I agree with you 💯!!! The fate meted out to choi yoo jin in the drama was absolutely the worst. And the thing which made me really super angry in the end is that the writers make her apologise to her worthless husband as they lie dying in that room. I mean what the actual f**k! If anyone had to do any apologising it was clearly that piece of a**, that worthless excuse of a man, but no, k-dramas being the embodiment of misogynistic and patriarchal values will never show that. Husband is god, whatever he did apparently. Tbh, choi yoo jin reminded me of those badass Sidney Sheldon heroines with a dark past, making them bitter and how they rise up and take revenge against the world. Would have been an amazing end had they shown her actually make her way into the Blue House herself. As for Anna, I really have no clue how anyone could write such a pathetically weak character. And viewers are supposed to find her good because yeah women are supposed to be pretty and weak and good all the time, whatever the shit is happening to them. Soon as they try to control their own fate, they become villains apparently. I call it bullshit.
Mouse is one of the best kdramas I've ever watched. Jang Ba Reum is my all time favorite character. I loved Choi Yoo Jin in k2 so much. I liked her a lot more that the fl.
Chon Ba Reum though, ah, I still can't get over the mixed feelings I have for him and the shock I experienced thanks to Lee Seung Gi's incredible acting skills.
@@BbaliDrama I did watch both special episodes but the end still hurt me. I know it should have not but still. I was truly amazed by his acting skills once more. The pure evilness of his character was shocking the least.
Yeah ikr. It's so hard to hate him, especially after the surgery where he thought he was a good and kind person. The way he believed the show he put on, and then finally getting to the truth 😭 I cant imagine what Bongyi has to go through, it mustve hurt a lot. Moochi as well, after treating him like a brother, not knowing the guy he called a "brother" was the one who killed his brother... I have come to a conclusion that any drama that Lee Seung Gi is in is a good one. I love all the drama he's in, he's really charismatic.
@@souhiyori8032 at one point I really didn't want Boni and Moochi to find the truth. I thought that is too cruel for both of them. And Bareum, I think, got what he really deserved. I mean, I can't even come up with a better way of making the heartless psychopath murderer pay for his sins than giving him the ability to feel. Truly a masterpiece, thumbs up for the writers and the directors.
@@BbaliDrama Agree 💯 Her last seen where she shoots herself and her dialogue ' Young Master, I really liked You' was like a dagger 🗡️ in heart 💓 I even thought for a moment where Yo Han looked at her right before that and asked her to Come With Him 😭 he would include her in his escape plan as well ( but just for a moment though, She had done many things which are irreversible and unforgiving 😭😭😭) I can't hate her😕
@@scrs5857 You nailed it 😢 Sun Ah had been a victim and she still tried to protect those that suffered in the same way that she did 😢 When Yo Han did that I was so sad. Like Sun Ah finally got her young master to care about her but it had been too late 😢
It was so hard to hate Bareum despite the fact he killed a lot of people and was toying Moochi and killed his brother on live broadcast. Bareum wouldnt even be found out if he didnt turn himself in. I cant help but root for Bareum and the main characters. And Yohan is just 😭😭 Yohan definitely got the justice he deserved, but I feel so bad for him dying lonely. He was a sweet guy. It was thanks to him that Bareum's actions were shown to the light by giving him emotions.
I feel bad for Yohan they have wronged him so much when he was actually there to save Hankook and they thought it was him. But I also felt bad for Bareum when he started to have emotions, he regretted it so much. The best punishment for him indeed is when he realized he cannot turn back time to not kill those people, especially the ones that are important to the people he came to care with like Bongyi and Moochi.
Yes, Jung Ba Reum is definitely an honorable mention. He is a well-written and interesting character, and I liked how Seungi portrayed him so well. From the start, you can see that he is somewhat pretending to be slow and weakhearted, it turns out he is the villain of the murders. It was sad how he prayed to not become a monster but then he become one until the last part which broke me the most when he hugged his younger self and said his prayers had been answered because now he can feel emotions. I also liked that they did not force BongYi and BaReum to be together in the end because that will be fucked up. He got the punishment he deserved, he felt guilt, regret, and every pain he should have for all of his murders.
Jung Ba Reum was just soo🔥🔥 You just can't hate him & the guy is a f**king genius!!!!! I know he was bad but can't help falling in love cuz Seung Gi portrayed him so well!! ❤️

I miss Choi Yoo Jin. She was the first villain I grew so attached to, I pretty much said "fuck the protagonist, I don't even care about him anymore". She had so many shades of gray and she was so complex, it's impossible to dislike her. And Song Yun Ah did an amazing job portraying her. I share the same sentiments towards Sun Ah. She made terrible choices in life, which I'm not going to excuse her for but she's also a product of the ruthless environment she grew up in. I love her emotional complexity. The sheer power this woman holds is amazing. I'm starting to realize I have a type 😂
Not Da Kyuang. Going to the main character's clinic, so mc would tell her she's pregnant with her husband's baby is the bitchiest move I've ever seen in any drama (leaving aside criminal stuff). The actress is amazing though. But that's not the reason to like the character.
You’re not alone. I think that if Anna had been cast differently or had been performed a bit better & less running & crying punctuated by naive bordering on ignorance, she would’ve been a better foil to the antagonist while still being the with whom K2 could enjoy a peaceful future without anymore fighting. His battles were behind him & he deserved happiness.
@@SuperLadyDanger Maybe if the characteristic of the character was change it will be okay. Yoona did great so I think the problem was the character Anna herself.
Some More Villains that I like: 😛 1) Jung Hyun Soo from Suspicious Partner 2) Lee Rang from Tale Of The Nine Tailed 3) Chae Jun from You Are My Spring 4) Lee Yu Beom from While You Were Sleeping 5) Song Cha Ok from Pinocchio 6) Oh Se Ho from My Strange Hero
CHOI YOO JIN! She was my favorite character in the K2; I really liked K2 as well, but the drama handled his arc very poorly, unfortunately, and I felt very disconnected from him by the end. But Choi Yoo Jin was just an amazing character with so many fascinating layers. I LOVED her and ended up watching just for her. The actress who portrays her is AMAZING.
I figured at the end They wanted to focus more on Choi Yoo Jin but I dont think his character was butchered if you are deeming it with him getting on with Anna I think he wanted some peace and quiet and innocence in his life after all the shit he went through Their relationship was soo complex but they had each others backs no matter what. Even at the end , Je ha went back to beg to save her life but it looks like she was also tired of life.
@@khotunkhan3950 I really liked K2's relationship with Choi Yoo Jin and was happy that they did not become romantic. Like you said, it was a complex relationship, and I thought it was made even better by never going into romance territory. The reason I thought K2's arc was not handled well was because all of the pain and anger he felt because of his past just...disappeared. The story never had him DEAL with any of it. I have a hard time believing he just forgot everything because of Anna. If the writers would have spent more time showing us how Anna helped him to deal with the massive amount of grief and anger he obviously felt at the beginning, then it would have been good. But she knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about his old life because he never tells her ANYTHING about it. He spends all his time listening to her troubles and taking care of her, but Anna never does the same for him. Yet the writers expect me to believe all his pain and anger just vanished? No, even worse, that he just STOPPED CARING about what happened???? Really????? Anyway, that's why I think the writers messed up. They forgot to treat K2 like a real human and instead just threw a bunch of romance tropes into the story and expected it to work. It did not, at least for me.
Definitely jeong ba reum from mouse is hard to hate. At least for me. I cried thinking so many ifs though he is just a fictional character. Then sigma from sisyphus the myth. Then the emperor lee hyuk. Missing you - kang hung joon.
The villains of Moon Lovers and The Devil Judge .... Oh my god they surely hold my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The Devil Judge was surely one of the best mystery and law dramas !!!!!
Choi Yoo Jin made me love K2 so much! I stopped loving Wang Wook in Moon Lovers at a point because his actions really couldn't be excused for me. You left out one character though - JESSICA in Vagabond. She deserves a special mention. I just couldn't hate GWI in Scholar Who Walks The Night. 😔❤️
I have been watching movies and tv series for almost for the past 30 years and I can bet on it that not in the history of movies or a drama that their will be an another iconic villian like Choi Yoo Jin. She will be an evergreen villian for the rest of the history.
The problem is when i watched moon lovers i rooted for Wang Wook and IU´s Character, dont judge me pls, but at the beginning they were so cute and nice together....i cried hours while watching that drama.....it was so frustrating and emotional....it was a pity :( besides....where is SEASON 2!!
Jung Ba Reum is something else. His intense guilt, pain and punishment when he has changed to a better person is too painful. LSG's crying eyes were so sad and expresive at the same time. His death though inevitable was painful nevertheless.
i actually could sympathize with yeonhwa in moon lovers instead Wang wook. i love Kang haneul, but he was a coward since the start, while his sister knew that power was what she needed to survive in the palace
It was tragic all around. He was a traumatized kid who did some terrible things out of fear & anger, & I think he genuinely came to love the protagonist (not romantically). Learning the truth was like another stab in the gut.
@@SuperLadyDanger Yea i agree. He genuinely care about the leads and perhaps even cared about the prosecutor lady that died. He was so seriously traumatized I'm surprised he never did more harm in adulthood, he's only a villain because his circumstancen forced him to be one.
Lee Seung Gi's character in Mouse shouldn't have been just an honourable mention. the complex plot and character just made it hard for me to love him or hate him!
U cant root for cheon seo jin She killed yoon hee , yoon chul, her own father, and then she told she did it for eunbyul making her own daughter pay for her actions…when she did it all for herself She didnt even feel any guilt after all that She is a monster 🤧
I hated her for all her evil deeds but I felt for her when she really thought about Eun Byul in the end. While her actions is not at all acceptable, I guess there's just something that made me unable to hate her completely.
@@BbaliDrama i like the actress but not the character…the way she faked dementia in the court and refused to tell the truth …its sad…she didnt feel any guilt….even when her daughter said that she blamed herself she could have said that no she did it for herself and not for her daughter…it makes me sick…i feel so bad for eunbyul 😭😭
People love him because he is the adorable Ok Taecyeon but as a villain character, Han Seok is not a kind of villain anyone would support; he is a narcissist, vengeful, childish, and full of himself.
I'm sorry but anyone who actually rooted for Cheon Seo Jin is a psycopath. All her motivations were all out of jealousy and she had numerous chances to redeem herself but stabbed everyone in the back including her own daughter. She isn't a villain to root for
Hi, I understand that rooting for her may seem weird in your case. But liking somebody wicked is different from being wicked. I understand that Seo Jin is evil and that she's unapologetic, but calling people who like her "psychopath" is going too far.
I agree... I never felt sorry for Da Kyung. She is old enough to know that what she's doing is wrong, yet her father always defend her, saying to Ji sunwoo that she's still young. She's like a spoiled rich girl, there was no background story of her having really broken home/life that made her behavior acceptable. She never really repented and apologized to Sunwoo, she even looked down Sunwoo, she got mad to Sunwoo, thinking that Sunwoo is the one who destroy her life, yet she never got a proper karma for her behavior. Lee Taeoh is the most at fault but Dakyung too, is responsible for destroying Sunwoo's life. Han Sohee really did a good job, I love all of the actresses' acting 😳👍
Grow up. The concept of home wrecker is long outdated. It's not some random woman's job to care about another man's family when he clearly doesn't care about his own wife and child himself. The girl was just acting on her emotions. She fell in love with the advances of a man. She was unattached and not harming her own family. How is she at fault for that.
@@Tanya-du2cwcalling a grown woman who willingly went for a married man a homewrecker is not misogyny what are you on? Yes it is mainly the man's fault but the woman isn't a helpless victim, she had agency.she treated another woman badly and only learned when the same thing happened to her. If at that age she couldn't see that what she was doing is bad, then she was just stupid. There is nothing to defend here.
@@Tanya-du2cw I dunno how you grew up but I was taught not to go for married men with children even if he doesn't care about his own family, its called self-respect but if you're into that kinda shii go ahead🤡
I think one of the villain that should be mentioned to in the honorable mentions, is the one from "The Last Empress", the emperor(forgot the name) did many questionable things, but if we look at it he was a broken man.
I just ended The K2 like a week ago and re watching it now, I watched it because of Yoona and Chang-wook. But I started loving the villain Choi Yoo Jin even at the ending where she confessed to Anna that it wasn’t her who kills her mother instead one of the workers of Anna’s dad. The drama made me cry so much. I hope there is a season 2 soon.
Ok but talking about cheon seojin from another prespective, since people have gotten it a bit wrong in the comments I guess, the "rooting" is not about liking her as person, and its very unlike the rooting for villains/antagonists who are charming OR have a tragic pasts that makes us empathetic for them in this case! Cheon Seojin isn't a character with much of a writing depth, she's more of a cartoonishly evil character and her being mercilessly and exaggeratedly evil, along with SO many other things, such as her body language, the actresses theatrical and exaggerated facial expressions, her way of dressing and her style, makeup, way of talking, way of being represented in the show by music, editing, cinematography and etc make her an awfully memorable and entertaining character! No one really "liked" her as a person in the show and the writer never meant to make us like her with making her do all sort of horrible things, but she actually created a whole new character type and her memes and name having been used by litterally EVERYONE, even people who have not watched the show, tells you the influence she has had on our minds! The majority of us liking her as an entertaining and memorable evil kdrama character is a collective effort of all of these things and doesn't actually mean we loved her in the show and a person!

how can anyone root for da kyung at ALL!!! she was an evil EVIL character, and whatever happened to her during the second half of the show was just simple karma.
If I can add, Kang Soo Jin from True Beauty also could fit in the list. As she acted as a villain to get what she wanted because of how her father trained her to be. I really like her character and the actress, Park Yoo Na 👍🏻
I am a simple human, i see Sun Ah i click😂 her character in the devil judge was so good and sad, she went through a lot and didn't get the chance to have someone by her side and even tho i hated her actions i couldn't hate her simply becoz she was a sad, sexy woman with one sided love
I know she was a villains but the lady villains in K2 i really liked. I hated that the people around her were just as bad, but she was made to look like she was a bit crazy too. If you had a family like her, or a husband like her, who knows if you wouldn't turn out like her.
Talk about villain's to root for K2's and Mouse's Villain are like the main actors to me I was heartbroken for them And also REVENGE OF OTHERS VILLAIN, SOEK JABUEM, who was manipulated and also has double personality, the other villain manipulated his other personality just because he lost his memories and his other personality appeared for a moment and was lie to he committed an evil which started our movie I really root for him Infact am in love with the real actor including the character and when he overpowered his other personality and was caught ,the OST that was played then (Hoody - Blue) didn't help it at all that I cried so much which was odd because I should be happy that the villain was caught but here I was sad and heartbroken. It's a movie to look forward to watching and our protagonist in All of us are dead movie (SOLOMON) is also our protagonist in Revenge of others
I can't help but want to join the villain in tail of the nine tailed here. Yeon's brother was definitely a lovable villain. And the list goes on, hoping for a part two
I liked Wang wook at first but no... he tried to kill off the female lead with his mother and sister and then his family tried to tell her he loved her as a power play. he did not choose her, you cannot not say he did.
He chose the throne and his lineage. And perhaps I'm bit jaded due to heavy Chinese palace dramas and a bit too biased because I like Wang Wook in the novel. But I kind of understand his motives? The reason why he turned evil?
The world of married was a great drama that had many adaptations and now the Turkish one will have season 2 soon I'm curious of what gonna happen to them
Sun Ah's character will make you both love and hate her at the same time. Yeah, she was manipulative, evil, heartless, and all. But I can't really hate her so much as she just seems heartless but it just looks like it was her defense mechanism, a facade she made to protect herself as she grew up. Another is that she is so clever in her plans which made her a worthy opponent of YoHan. It looks like she really had feelings for YoHan but she does not know how to show love and had hurt both YoHan and her in the process. She's too broken for what she had gone through but it does not justify all the evil things she did so yeah, I sometimes pity and I sometimes hate her character. She is interesting indeed.
Contrary to today's topic of discussion though, which villains do you think are completely unforgivable? 🤔

Chon Ba Reum though, ah, I still can't get over the mixed feelings I have for him and the shock I experienced thanks to Lee Seung Gi's incredible acting skills.
He is so evil when you watched the special film but it is Lee Seunggi and when he cried in the end, wishing he could be born normal in the next life 😿
@@BbaliDrama I did watch both special episodes but the end still hurt me. I know it should have not but still. I was truly amazed by his acting skills once more. The pure evilness of his character was shocking the least.
Yeah ikr. It's so hard to hate him, especially after the surgery where he thought he was a good and kind person. The way he believed the show he put on, and then finally getting to the truth 😭
I cant imagine what Bongyi has to go through, it mustve hurt a lot.
I just love the character. I didn't even care how evil he was, he just made the show so interesting
Sun Ah definitely had some deadly charms ❤️💯 Despite of being a Antagonist I still rooted for her and Yo han to be together😅🥰
😢 I know she just could not end well but yes I am the same as you 😢 Such a great character 😢
@@BbaliDrama Agree 💯 Her last seen where she shoots herself and her dialogue ' Young Master, I really liked You' was like a dagger 🗡️ in heart 💓

@@scrs5857 You nailed it 😢 Sun Ah had been a victim and she still tried to protect those that suffered in the same way that she did 😢
When Yo Han did that I was so sad. Like Sun Ah finally got her young master to care about her but it had been too late 😢
@@BbaliDrama Nightmare 😭 ( By the way the OST songs of this drama always give me chills)
Kim Min Jung is my favorite villain actress
The female villain and the male lead in k2 had more chemistry imo
I always has feeling that he is the serial killer. Since it will makes the story more interesting. 😆

Jung ba reum 😭lee seung gi’s acting skill just hits different 😻
I totally had a girl crush on the villain in K2. She was awesome.
Sun Ah was honestly the best thing about the devil judge she was just breathtaking
I fell for Sun Ah so hard, literally never fell for a villain that hard before 😢
Ever since she talked back to the politician I'm falling and when she hit the president for touching the waitress I'm a complete goner.
@@BbaliDrama same like I don’t know what she did to me but I just couldn’t stop rooting for her and when she died! I cried like a baby I just wanted them together 😭😭🥺
I love her. She is both fragile and evil but always the smartest one in the whole drama.
Exactly.. I initially watched the drama for Jinyoung and Gyou young if happy ever did exist but i ended up crying for Sun ah.
i thought Ba Reum would top the list.... but he was everything in the series.... not just a villain... he deserves an entire video dedicated to him....
The devil judge is amazing
Totally agree!
She was not meant for this list cause I still don't like her
Same...I just couldn't stand the character
^
Yeah... She never regret or feeling guilty after all, yet she finally relialized Lee tae oh cannot be faithful.
The antagonist in the k2 was the one I wanted to be ended with ji Chang wook the most they would've been a really badass couple 🥲
When K2 saved her from the burning car I just think really hard about their flaming chemistry 😔✌️
@@BbaliDrama yes but writer just wasted a beautiful chemestry
The umbrella scene make me ship them
You’re not alone.
Some More Villains that I like: 😛
1) Jung Hyun Soo from Suspicious Partner
2) Lee Rang from Tale Of The Nine Tailed
3) Chae Jun from You Are My Spring
4) Lee Yu Beom from While You Were Sleeping
5) Song Cha Ok from Pinocchio
6) Oh Se Ho from My Strange Hero
Lee rang from tale of nine tailed was not the main villain :>

🙋🏻♀️High five for Jessica. I would not call Lily a villain though 😣
@@BbaliDrama you forget Jessica in your spécial mention
CHOI YOO JIN! She was my favorite character in the K2; I really liked K2 as well, but the drama handled his arc very poorly, unfortunately, and I felt very disconnected from him by the end. But Choi Yoo Jin was just an amazing character with so many fascinating layers. I LOVED her and ended up watching just for her. The actress who portrays her is AMAZING.
I figured at the end
They wanted to focus more on Choi Yoo Jin but I dont think his character was butchered if you are deeming it with him getting on with Anna
I think he wanted some peace and quiet and innocence in his life after all the shit he went through
Their relationship was soo complex but they had each others backs no matter what.
Oh my god they surely hold my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Devil Judge was surely one of the best mystery and law dramas !!!!!
When I saw this I was already expecting choi yoo Jin to be in the list... She was my favorite character in that series..
The K2 was...................AWESOME
Choi Yoo Jin made me love K2 so much! I stopped loving Wang Wook in Moon Lovers at a point because his actions really couldn't be excused for me. You left out one character though - JESSICA in Vagabond. She deserves a special mention. I just couldn't hate GWI in Scholar Who Walks The Night. 😔❤️
I have been watching movies and tv series for almost for the past 30 years and I can bet on it that not in the history of movies or a drama that their will be an another iconic villian like Choi Yoo Jin.
She will be an evergreen villian for the rest of the history.

Jung Ba Reum is something else. His intense guilt, pain and punishment when he has changed to a better person is too painful. LSG's crying eyes were so sad and expresive at the same time. His death though inevitable was painful nevertheless.
Kim Moo Young in The Smile That Have Left Your Eyes is somewhat of a villain that I wished had a happier ending.

I have one for this list
OK Taecyeon from Vincenzo.
@@BbaliDrama It's still a bit too much to root for her. Sorry for my harsh words but there isn't one likeable aspect to her.
Her character is realistic and that was what made me continue watching Penthouse actually. I like Cheon Seojin though but I don't like her wrongdoings
I never felt sorry or rooted for Da Kyung in The world of the married,Karma got her good🤡
We all have different opinions 😢 Although if I meet anyone like her in real life I'm going to hate her so much 😂😂😂
@@Tanya-du2cw I dunno how you grew up but I was taught not to go for married men with children even if he doesn't care about his own family, its called self-respect but if you're into that kinda shii go ahead🤡
sometimes the villains r SO MUCH more realistic and interesting than the leads so u can’t help but like them
I actually rooted for Choi Yoo Jin!!!
I think one of the villain that should be mentioned to in the honorable mentions, is the one from "The Last Empress", the emperor(forgot the name) did many questionable things, but if we look at it he was a broken man.
Jung Bareum was a whole serial killer please!
Park Bo Gum in Hello Monster was amazing too!! I root for that role of his! Completely fell for his acting and role there

Talk about villain's to root for
K2's and Mouse's Villain are like the main actors to me I was heartbroken for them
And also REVENGE OF OTHERS VILLAIN, SOEK JABUEM, who was manipulated and also has double personality, the other villain manipulated his other personality just because he lost his memories and his other personality appeared for a moment and was lie to he committed an evil which started our movie
I really root for him
Infact am in love with the real actor including the character and when he overpowered his other personality and was caught ,the OST that was played then (Hoody - Blue) didn't help it at all that I cried so much which was odd because I should be happy that the villain was caught but here I was sad and heartbroken. It's a movie to look forward to watching and our protagonist in All of us are dead movie (SOLOMON) is also our protagonist in Revenge of others

He chose the throne and his lineage. And perhaps I'm bit jaded due to heavy Chinese palace dramas and a bit too biased because I like Wang Wook in the novel. But I kind of understand his motives? The reason why he turned evil?
Me too I felt that he was toying with her feelings too much . You can't betray a person and ask them to like you.

Only watched two dramas out of this list, but hell nah. Wouldn't root for those characters in a million years.

Choi Mu Jin from My Name could have me respectfully 🙏
