Great video. I have an edge had 8 which also has some haze on the primary mirror which I can’t seem to get clean enough but it throws up great images. I might disassemble it to clean the mirror properly. The corrector plate just seems to get dusty again from the inside of the scope just minutes after cleaning it. But I like your solution to a problem and like your intrepid spirit to tackle what others say you shouldn’t do. Looking forward to seeing how he C8 performs for you.
    Luis from NY.

Welcome NY. Yeah great, I would definitely mark everything up just in case 👍 they do produce amazing images. I just go with my gut it usually works out lol. Next video on Sunday has the result 🫣 stay tuned.

I found that tap water left specks when I cleaned my mirror from the impurities. Distilled water definitely stopped that.

Thanks for commenting, yeah distilled water is definitely recommended, I think it also depends on how heavy the water is in your area, sounds like your in a hard water area, boiling the kettle and letting it cool works well. 😁

    Nothing ventured nothing gained brother.
I'd of done the same myself 👍
I've a edge hd 8 myself and broke the primary mirror holder when i fitted the eaf and kept resetting to 0 trying to get focus.
Was a rwitchy bum moment stripping it and glueing the holder back together.
Anyway 2 years on and I'm still getting great pictures👍
