Thanks so much, I feel from my failures in the past have paved the way for my success in 2024, the hyperstar certainly changed the imaging 👍 it has made it so much fun having both options now.
It’s fantastic having the warm room, I usually stay in there for a few hours to make sure everything is running smoothly, then I run it through my iPad indoors 👍
How do you think the hyperstar compares to a RASA? I'm most interested in capturing relatively large fields of view, and getting the really dim stuff, like dust. Also, great video, very useful, but I would recommend decreasing the volume on the background music. Especially while you're talking but even when you're not talking, it was a bit loud I thought, in comparison to the volume of the talking segments. It would be nice if they were a bit more in balance!
Well I was considering the RASA originally, but I decided to go with the SCT as I wanted to be able to switch from wide field, so really I would say this was a great choice based on me wanting the very large focal length, but able to switch, so I can now go from 540mm to 2800mm focal in a matter of half hour, great for planets and very small galaxies, the hyperstar was easier to operate than expected. Also sorry for the Audio, I have an ear problem at the moment and I couldn’t really hear well when watching it back 🫣
For someone who has to set up from scratch for every session, including installing a Hyperstar do you need to collimate every time? Maybe if it’s slightly out it would only take a few extra minutes. The more you do it the faster you get.
I think as long as the screws were tight enough (3 short locking ones) it should stay pretty close if not the same, I will take mine off on a clear night for you and put it back on to see if it works, to be honest, you will definitely get faster a collimating it if you do it regularly. I’ll post a short of this for you once I get a clear night. 👍

Just bought a Celestron 6" Schmidt Cassegrain optical tube and a Hyperstar 6 v4. Have to learn how to use the CAT and then will install the Hyperstar.
Great choice of scope, the hyperstar is a fantastic instrument too 😁 you won’t be disappointed.
