That tofu looks so yummy! My favourite marinade is basically the one they use in the recipe you shared (minus the lime), but I cut the tofu into random bits, let it marinade for at least a few hours, then coat it in cornflour (as in Maizena, not the actual corn FLOUR) and then fry it with a bit of oil to make it crispy 👌🏼👩🏻‍🍳 And I agree: where did August go!?

Oh, I’ll definitely try your version! Crispy tofu is always a win, and it’s been way too long since I’ve made it like that. 😍 And seriously, where did August even go?! It feels like I blinked and boom-we’re already in September! 😅

hello! i love all your videos, if you don't mind me asking, how have you been able to move to edinburgh? in regards to visa etc :) i'm very curious as i'm also from the EU and am considering a move to the uk. only if you feel comfortable answering! great vid as always!

hi, i’m happy to share my experience, although i’m not sure how helpful it will be! i moved to the uk in september 2019, and at the time, EU citizens could still apply for pre-settled status for free, which allowed us to live and work without a visa for 4 years. they extended the pre-settled status to 5 years last year. since i have been in the uk for 5 years, i recently applied for settled status, so now i have indefinite leave to remain. sorry i can’t be more helpful, but that was my experience. i know how tricky visas can be-i dealt with it when i lived in Canada-so i hope everything works out for you! good luck!

Thank you! The amber mug is one of my favourites-it was my grandad's, so it’s extra special to me. I hope you enjoy The Bookshop Woman as much as I did. It’s a memoir but reads like fiction, such a simple and soothing story ☺

hi, I was wondering... do you journal in your mother tongue or in English? I sometimes feel the need to write in my own language (Spanish), and others I need to express myself in English. Some words just sound better in English!

hi Victoria, I totally agree-sometimes a word in English just perfectly captures what I want to say, and its translation doesn’t quite convey the same feeling. as for journaling, it’s a bit funny-I started doing it in English to practice my writing, and now it’s become a habit. I switch to French, my mother tongue, when the English words don’t fully express my feelings and the French ones fit better 😅
